Mary looked at the scroll and decided to close it and doing so, she was sent back to the room that she had just entered from.

"This must be... His memories." said Mary as she learned that she could properly witness Zukafu's ACTUAL past and this meant that she didn't have to rely on the words of others.

She placed the scroll back and looked through the others, finding one which showed both him and Raimei on the day that she was captured. Mary picked up the scroll and opened it. Like before, it transported her to the Kami residence where it was more crowded with kids playing around.

KAMI RESIDENCE - FLASHBACK 1

Mary looked around for the young Takehaya/Zukafu when she found him at the back of the house with Raimei and what seemed to be them training together as Zukafu attempted to use his powers.

"No, no, no!" said Raimei, disappointed as she pointed out what Zukafu was doing wrong. She walked to him and fixed his stance, "Thunder, compared to lightning, is more effective, but it's also time-consuming! So you need to focus on generating that thunder within you..."

The young Zukafu continued struggling, even after taking Raimei's advice as he couldn't properly focus at all.

Raimei sighed and said, "How about we train elsewhere? Maybe being in an environment like this isn't cut out for you."

Zukafu panted as he responded with a very normal tone, "Yeah... That's a good idea." The two then walked out onto the entrance when they along with Mary, viewing it, see Jin and Tatsuya arrive with a squad.

Zukafu pointed out, "Hey its your dad!"

The two then went to greet him but then suddenly, an Enigma parasite appeared out of nowhere and attacked both Raimei and Zukafu. The parasite attempted to jump onto Zukafu but Raimei pushed him aside and the parasite instead latched onto her.

Tatsuya, from a distance, noticed this before he shouted, "Chief!" and pointed in Zukafu and Raimei's direction. Immediately, the squad went to apprehend the Enigma.

Zukafu tried freeing Raimei of the Enigma but when that didn't work, he tried to use his lightning abilities as he desperately focused on summoning lightning and as he was about to unleash it, the yelling that came from the squad startled him and caused him to misdirect his attack towards Tatsuya and the squad, allowing the Enigma to slash at Zukafu and make its escape.

Mary watched in disbelief as she saw Raimei being taken away, fear shown in the girl's eye as she tried to reach her hand out to Zukafu. He tried to save her, but it was too late... She was gone. After everything had happened, Zukafu was left stunned by what he had done as he stood there, looking at where Raimei had been taken.

ROOM - PRESENT

After seeing everything, Mary hastily slammed the scroll shut, taking her back to the room again. Mary was also left stunned by what she had seen, just like Zukafu, despite being told the story by Tatsuya.

She carefully placed the scroll back and continued searching through the scrolls. The next scroll she picked up was that of the day that Zukafu had 'died' as she picked it up and opened it.

KAMI'S RESIDENCE - FLASHBACK 2

Mary found herself in a bedroom and upon looking around, she saw Zukafu who was hiding himself in his bedsheets. It seemed she was at a time later after Raimei's disappearance. Mary heard the door opening, and she saw Yu as he appeared concerned for his son.

He asked, "Hey Takehaya... Why don't you come out and play with the others, it might do you some good?" The young Takehaya responded by nodding his head. Yu understood and responded, "I understand... Come outside whenever you change your mind." and after saying that, he closed the door and walked away.

Suddenly, Mary overheard a conversation between Yu and another person who sounded oddly familiar to Katsura. She eavesdropped on their conversation regarding how Takehaya must progress with his training and even though Katsura wanted his Godson to carry on, despite the struggles and issues, Yu believed that his son needed to grief properly, but their conversation ended with the two not even reaching a proper conclusion, and she could hear Katsura as his voice faded away.

Mary looked at Takehaya room and saw how plain and empty it felt similarly to the time that Zukafu had shown her what she believed to be his memory, but she could see that not everything was a lie.

Suddenly, she could hear a ghostly voice as it called out to Takehaya.

The ghostly voice said "Takehaya... Takehaya... I know you can hear me... Takehaya..."

Takehaya attempted to drown the voice away, but it was no use as it continued saying, "There's no use hiding from me... I come in peace..."

Reluctant, Takehaya asked "Who are you?"

The ghostly voice answered, "I am a weary soul... I am something that can assist you... All I need is your help..."

"With what?" asked Takehaya.

The ghostly voice answered, "I need your help finding my book... Within its pages... Has the secrets to make things right... Within them, I can assure you that you'll become something great! And I can promise you that you'll see Raimei again."

Takehaya's eyes lit up upon hearing what the ghostly voice had just said, believing that it could help him make things right. While Mary was shocked from what she was hearing from the ghostly voice.

Sceptical, Takehaya asked, "How can I trust you?"

The ghostly voice answered cryptically, "Trust is a powerful weapon and if you abuse it... Then it will punish you for breaking it... The simple answer to your question; That is up to you to decide."

Takehaya clenched his fists as he struggled to decided whether to trust the voices or not but being the young and naïve Takehaya that he was at that time, he answered "Okay."

"Excellent." said the ghostly voice. "Let us proceed... Find the book at----" Suddenly, before Mary knew it, she had been taken out of the memory by an unknown force as the scroll took a life of its own and closed itself and return where it previously was.

ROOM - PRESENT

She got up and found a boy, all in white from his hair, his eyes and his skin from what he was even wearing. His appearance resembled that of the young Takehaya.
