PRESENT DAY

Katsura remembered looking back at that day and it made him wonder whether Yu still missed him or not.

Meanwhile, Zukafu who was already growing tired and exhausted, with zero sweat visible, from what felt like excessive training had his head down on the ground.

Katsura, ignoring Zukafu, turned his head around and saw Mary, Naoya and Luna as they entered Yomi. He then said, "It's time..."

Zukafu lifted his head up and asked, "Time for what?"

"It is time for you to return to the land of the living." Answered Katsura.

"Really?" Asked Zukafu.

"Indeed. But I'm afraid I won't allow you to do so." Noted Katsura, sounding deviously.

Puzzled Zukafu asked, "What do you mean?" Suddenly the chains holding him began vibrating uncontrollably before abruptly breaking. Zukafu suddenly began experiencing sudden pain in his chest and he even felt aa if he was going to vomit.

He asked Katsura, "What's-- Happening?!"

Katsura cryptically answered, "It is time..."

Zukafu screamed viciously as it echoed across the limitless areas that existed within Yomi with his scream reaching Mary and the others.

Hearing his screams, she said, "Did you hear that?"

Luna and Naoya then heard the screams and immediately stated, "Its Zukafu! We have to hurry!" As they traversed their way to the source of the screams.

Zukafu stopped screaming and breathed heavily while Katsura stared silently.

"H-help me!" Pleaded Zukafu.

Katsura sympathetically responded, "I'm afraid I cannot do such things. Forgive me Takehaya. I transformed you into that incomplete monster once... I hope to try and remedy this..."

The trio hastily arrived but were too late as Zukafu screamed one final time and his whole body exploded, shocking them.

All that remained in Zukafu's place was a crystal that had a mixure of yellow and orange. Katsura then lifted his hand and then a blue crystal exit from inside his hand made its way into the crystal.

"The resilience of the sea has returned." Said a robotic like voice that seemed to have come from the crystal.

"KATSURA!" Screamed Naoya angrily, "What have you done?!

Katsura turned his metallic head to look at the trio and answered, "I have done what I must... And now, I leave the rest to you."

Katsura stood up for the first in what felt like years as he felt pain from standing up. After a few seconds, he managed to move his legs and therefore, he lifted himself high and made his way up towards the entrance of the portal, likely to exit the underworld.

Naoya and Luna were stunned by their Godfathers action but that had to wait as they were now dealing with something that began to materialise from the crystal in the same demonic looking stranger that was seen in the photos but this time, larger and with a powerful element.

The giant thing roared ferociously and began a rampage as it destroyed rocks that were in its way.

Mary asked, "What do we do now?"

Luna and Naoya attempted to summon their weapons but due to them being in Yomi, their weapons were somehow frozen. Luna struggled and struggled as she tried to summon her weapon but slammed the ground upon multiple failed attempts.

"Dammit!" Said Luna.

The thing then targeted Mary and the others as it slammed its fists onto the ground that they were standing in.

The three dodged at quick haste but the being was growing more chaotic by the second. It then freed itself from where it was being held down below by more chains.

The thing destroyed them one by one, making it lift itself more easily and when destroying the last chain, it rose high and began unleashing barrages of meteor showers that were made from static electricity, thunder shocks and boiling hot water and as it destroyed even more of Yomi.

Mary got up and shouted, "ZUKAFU!" With her voice echoing across Yomi but not reaching the thing's ears.

Luna asked, "Mary! What are you doing?!" Believing that what she was doing was going to get her killed.

Mary continued, ignoring Luna, as she shouted even louder, "ZUKAFU!!!" With her echoing even more with her screams reaching into the thing's ears, causing it to stop with its barrage and look in Mary's direction.

It marched towards her menacingly while Mary stood in front of it very boldly.

Upon reaching her, the thing roared at Mary with extremism. But despite this, Mary stood her ground and she tried to reach Zukafu who she believed could still be inside.

She said, "Zukafu! Can you hear me?" The thing continued to roar as it with its blankless eyes. She continued, "Zukafu! Its me, Mary! Please hear me?!" The thing again roared.

Naoya said, "Its no use, Mary! Zukafu's no longer in ther-"

"No!" Shouted Mary, believing that Zukafu was still in there, "I know you're in there!" Suddenly, the thing then grabbed Mary and proceeded to eat her, shocking Luna and Naoya.

The thing then turned its attention to Naoya and Luna as it attacked at them again and since they were weaponless, Naoya and Luna were forced to run away from it which was very difficult as there was already very limited numbers of ground for Naoya and Luna to stand on.

INSIDE THE THING

Mary woke up, finding herself in a empty atmosphere that was glowing bright white.

"What the hell?" Said Mary, "Where am I?"

Suddenly, a door appeared in front of Mary and opened, as if it was as if it wanted to show her something. Before Mary had time to think, the door pulled her in and took her to a place that was filled with glowing white crystal scroll that had sequences on top of them.

Mary hesistantly picked the first one and upon opening the scroll, she was transported to what appeared to be the Kami's home where the atmosphere was mostly empty.

"Where- How..." said Mary as she was left baffled by what was happening.
