Chapter 1:
The Real You
" Risa Aizawa you can do it! It's just a family party. All you gotta do is be formal and be a good girl " I repeated to myself. I was nervous way too nervous. It was a party organized by my parent's company Nelson's and as I was the eldest daughter I was supposed to be the be of next to run this company so I must have a good reputation, that's what i am told since I was 5! Which is so annoying.
I got a knock at the door. "Risa hurry up get ready and come downstairs It's time to leave" I was my sister
"Ok!" I said and quickly wore the dress I was told to wear. It was a maroon coloured knee length dress. It was was sleeveless kinda comfy yet i don’t like it. I wore my heels. I did hair luckily my hairs were short so I didn’t need to tie or do anything special. I did a bit of make I didn’t to the beautician because last time they made me look like a girly princess from 90’s. I finished and at myself.
I looked...not me. “No no no Risa you waited and worked harder than anyone to reach till here. You gotta stay tough!” I said trying to gain confidence. “I gotta prof everyone how capable I am to be the next president of Nelson! Whatever it takes.” I walked out of my room and moved downstairs where my younger sister was waiting with my mom.
“Hey mom” I said with a grin trying to act normal.
She looked at me from top to bottom. “Good you can dress up well now” she said smiling at me.
“Yeah yeah whatever” I blurted.
At the party.
I greeted every single person my parents introduced me to. After all that I decided to eat because I was hungry I took some chicken nuggets but i saw my mom beside me with a smile which was kinda creepy.
"Not now" she whispered in my ear. I left the nuggets with a frown. I walked in the corner where my sister stood.
"It's so boring here right?" I said.
"Yeah I wish I could invite few friends of mine but it's a business formal party so I was not allowed to invite anyone" she said.
"Hmm" I said.
"Hey when will introduce me your girlfriend?" She asked.
"We broke up" I said.
"Hah! WHEN!?" She was shocked
"A month ago" I said with darkly.
"Why didn't you tell me!?"
"I didn't want to talk about her but I am over her now, I guess" I said.
"I see"
I decided to walk out of the room "I will be back" i said and left.
I walked out of the party hall. I walked down stairs . I was tried and drowsy. I took off my sandals as fast as I could and run downstairs out of the building. I sat down on the steps of the entrance, took in the cool breeze it was very pleasant out there. Everything was calm and something I wanted. ‘I am sick of this ‘daughter of ceo life’ I want to be free’ I signed. I looked up at the sky. I stood up until when I heard a lound “NO!”
I hurried to rach the voice. I slowed down my speed as I got closer. I peeked to the sight. There were 3 people in the parking with 1 of them lying on the floor. Was he... dead. overheard the conversation between the other 2 men.
"He is dead. He is useless now"
"Yeah. Carry the body and take it with us we can't leave any evidences"
"What the hell is going on here..." I mumbled.
The best decision was to run and inform the security. I took a step back when someone held my shoulders from back and placing a knife near my throat.
"Where do you thing you are going" he said. I gulped in fear. What should I do!
I panicked. What will happen now.
"Should we kill her" he said.
"Sounds ok to me" the other man replied.
Kill!? Is this the end. No not like this! I heard a gunshot. I shut my eyes.
...
I opened my eyes "I am alive!" The man who was holding moaned in pain, he was one who got shooted not me. he put his hands off me. i looked at the who shouted him. It was a tall girl about my age. She was in a white shirt and black pants . She rushed to me. Held my hand.
"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!" The other men yelled. She shoted at ground near their feet.
"Run!" She said still holding my hand. She pulled me to her direction. I ran with her without turning back. She took me upstairs. Near the hall where the party was going on.
"Tell the security about what happened I will take care of the rest" she said I nodded. I was terrified.
She walked closer to me and patted my head. "Everything will be fine" she said we parted ways.
I couldn't even thank her I hope to see her again.
