Akira Miike, part II.

Akira right now is inside the tunnels. his destination is the cafeteria. secretary Samuel Miller is behind him holding some documents. he is feeling stress with all the paperwork. then there are agents Sato and Hori right behind them.

"Boss. what was the name you give to the base again?" asks the secretary.

"It is the castle. there is no better name to refer to an impenetrable fortress than a castle. after all I am king here. nothing more tempting for a king than to own a castle. or you disagree Mr. Miller? I could understand if you find me childish." said Akira smiling.

"No sir. not at all. I am your loyal servant. if I am to serve anyone, then it better be a wise king like yourself sir." said Secretary Miller seriously.

"But what kind of king abandons their heir in dangerous waters." said Akira.

the soldiers agreed to go to the cafeteria with Akira. but Franco refused to go with them as he used the pretext that he is feeling under the weather.

the rest of them arrive on the cafeteria on time. they get some warm meal before ending that long night. everyone was too tired. everyone gets something different to eat. Akira ignores mostly everyone. he eats simple noodles. he smirks.

"Sir. I be back. I found an issue." said Secretary Miller.

Samuel Miller looks after the affairs of the base. nothing goes without him noticing. he was told about strange activity happening around the mountain. Samuel moves nervously waiting for the worse but hoping for the best.

he receives a call. it's from one of guards. apparently, guards were sent outside of the base after detecting strange activity. everyone in the village was found dead. the guard also informs Samuel Miller about signs strange Sin activity.

Samuel moves faster on the tunnel. he has a cup of coffee at his hand. he drinks and walks fast as he keeps moving. then he finally arrives in front of the main office. the moment he steps inside the office, an airplane in flames falls and explodes around the mountain. parts of the airplane in flames fall inside the main office destroying the whole building.

Samuel survives the explosion. he stands up bleeding badly. he is covered in wounds, dust, and blood. he moves fast towards a red lever. the moment he pulls the lever down. the emergency protocol is activated. the whole base is in danger.

there is a lockdown emergency protocol in case of an enemy attack. heavy walls of concrete fall in front of every entrance blocking the way both ways. there are lasers that attack any suspicious movement approaching from the outside. the windows also get sealed. 

now because Samuel activated the protocol. he was left outside. he is left exposed to the creatures of the night. in the open as a horde of Sins approaches the mountain.

back in the cafeteria,

everyone is confused. no one understands the reason behind the lockdown. there is no one in there to give a valid reason. Akira stands up nervously. he tries to calm down everyone. he tries to keep the composure. after all he is their leader. 

"I need to leave." yields a soldier.

Akira tries to control the situation. one of the soldiers cancels the lockdown. the moment the doors are left expose. a horde of Sins between level five and six invaded three sections of the base. they slaughter without a mercy the residents. a gory bloodbath on the works. there was a brutal massacre like no other.

 one of the sections that failed victim to such massacre was the cafeteria. everyone tries to run or hide, but they fail. there are dead bodies falling everywhere. there is horror in the eyes of the masses as they are in such shock that they don't seem to move.

Akira thinks fast. he grabs two kitchen knives. he walks around stabbing the Sins to death. he yields loudly reminding everyone about the kitchen tools on the third floor. if they act quickly, they can find a tool capable of combat. some run towards the third floor. some run towards the exit or the tunnels. 

"Help me. please someone help." screams a dying person.

Kobe thinks fast. he takes a small pistol out and shoots at the Sins. he tells Ms. Furukawa to hide under the table. the nurse hides with Mrs. Kamada. Kobe runs out of bullets. he also hides under the table as he reloads his pistol. the three of them move carefully.

on the other hand, Yuji and Kai had their weapons with them all along. they take their assault rifles out and start to shoot at the Sins. they try to evacuate the few survivors they find. 

then there is Akira running towards the sins. slaughtering left and right. the good thing is that they are facing low level Sins. if the Sins were of a bigger rank, then the number of casualties will be higher. then it hits him. all those sins may be led by a higher-level Sin.

after some rough twenty minutes. most Sins are killed, some left running away. Akira leads a small group of around twelve people out of the cafeteria. there are other survivors who decided to stay behind. they didn't want to take any risks.

Akira Miike, Sayuri Furukawa, Kobe Watanabe, Yuji Sato, Kai Hori, Akemi Kamada, and some others are the names that form part of the group. 

the cafeteria was exposed and suffered some damage. the main office was completely destroyed by the incident. who knows what another place suffered major damage or are infested by the Sins. the cafeteria is located all the way in the southwest. they have to walk around tunnels and cross through another two buildings to reach the landing which is located in the northeast at the peak of the mountain. but not even the landing area is safe.

they try to go to the training area. but the entrance along was filled up with corpses and the inhuman screams of horror. they decided to take another path. the tunnels are safe so far but as time keeps going on nothing will stay safe. 

on the way around the tunnels the options are limited. then they find the way to the front of the Central Royal Garden. the place seems intact. there are no signs of struggle. strangely enough the door was open. they move inside the garden slowly. 

there is some noise coming from behind some palms and tulips. then they find a couple mating between the bushes. Franco Castillo was standing behind another bush. he smokes a small thin grayish cigar with his left hand. 

"The show was fun. but I am not in the mood to join." yields Franco.

the couple gets scared. they grab whatever they are able to take. they leave running half naked around the garden. Franco smirks. he looks at the others. he sits down on the grass. he looks up at the sky admiring the beauty.

"I believed you to be dead." said Kai shocked.

"Why should I be dead? in truth I wanted to go there. but I don't know how to find my room. then I walked around. and I found myself here. the peace was great until those ruined it to me. but it's damn great now." said Franco with an air of melancholy.

"The main office was destroyed. the bedchambers are found in the main office. if you had gone there. then you would be dead by now. lucky bastard." said Yuji smiling.

they move around. Franco looks at a specific plant. he asks the others if they give him some time to take it. he takes his time putting the plant inside a flowerpot. he then gives the plant to Mrs. Kamada. he whispers something on her ears.

the thirteen of them keep moving on. they haven't seen anyone since that couple that left running away. in between the tunnels a creature appears out of nowhere. it is a Sin level 5. it moves around calmly. there is no reason to fear a lower-level Sin.

the Sin appears to be blind. it has the body of a worm. it has long black horns similar to those of a beetle. it has a pink skin color with white spots. it moves around slowly. it has about forty-eight long bony arms. it has a face similar to that of a human. it has no eyes. in its place it has some long hairy antennas. it has green neon drool coming out of its mouth.

Akira uses a device to scan the Sin; it is a level 5 sin of Self-Lust.

"Try to be careful around that thing." whispers Akira feeling disgust.

the Sin may had notice them. but it didn't care. it turns around. it moves slowly. it leaves in its path a trail of slimy green drool. it makes a sinister sound similar to laughter. then it keeps moving without turning. it is gone, but its laughter is still present.
