Chapter 702: Bit by Bit

Narrator: Zeth and Sasha have activated Soul Power to fight the mutant Ronzic!

Laura: “I’ve never seen a power like that.”

Biff: “Not only that, it also has an overwhelming presence to it.”

Ronzic: “Explain yourselves.”

Zeth: “It’s called Soul Power. As the name implies, it’s the power of our souls.”

Sasha: “And with it, you three are in trouble.”

Ronzic charges red magic energy in his mouth.

Laura: “As powerful as your Soul Power seems, we will not be intimidated. Together, we can handle anything.”

Zeth and Sasha each plant one foot firmly on the floor with enough force to crack it a bit. They each bend the knee of the leg with the planted foot. After a second, both of them launch forward and punch Ronzic in the face before he can unleash his red beam. The two punches cause Ronzic to aim at the ceiling and unleash the blast there.

Laura: “Wow! Such speed!”

Biff: “Ron is going to be counting on your lasers, Laura!”

Laura: “Of course!”

Ronzic: “RAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!”

Ronzic uses his left fist and tries to punch Zeth. However, Zeth quickly sidesteps the punch and then forms a Soul Shine Blast in his hand.

Zeth: “Why don’t you just shut up and eat this instead!!?”

Zeth shoves the Soul Shine Blast straight into Ronzic’s open mouth. It explodes inside Ronzic’s mouth, blasting away chunks of his head.

Sasha follows up by piercing many parts of Ronzic’s upper body with her fingers. She then punches him in the chest and immediately transitions to a strong thrusting kick that knocks him back against a wall.

Biff: “Ron!!!”

Laura: “I will protect you!!”

Ronzic’s right arm releases lasers at Zeth and Sasha as they rush toward him. They are able to dodge a few of the lasers but do take a few hits each. However, the laser hits don’t slow them down much.

Zeth: “You will need more power than that to stop us! Let’s take care of that, Sasha!”

Sasha nods.

Sasha: “Right!”

As they get close, Zeth lunges forward and punches Ronzic’s right arm with a lot of power. The strength of the punch smashes in that part of Ronzic’s right arm and breaks open parts of the skin that release squirts of blood.

Zeth jumps back as Sasha takes the lead and has her right arm in a chopping motion as she reaches Ronzic. She successfully chops off Ronzic’s right arm at the point where Zeth punched it.

Laura: “No way!!”

Sasha jumps back so that Zeth takes the lead again. Zeth tries to punch Ronzic’s left arm the same way, but his punch has nowhere near the same impact that it had on Ronzic’s right arm.

Biff: “The left arm is too strong for you to destroy!”

Ronzic’s left arm punches Zeth and knocks him back. However, Sasha rushes in again. She thrusts the index and middle fingers of her right hand forward. Her fingers pierce part of Ronzic’s left arm. Once inside, she slashes her fingers to the left to slash open part of Ronzic’s left arm.

Biff: “You’ve gotta be kidding me!!”

Sasha: “Unfortunately for you, that’s just how this goes.”

Sasha grabs Ronzic by his left arm and throws him toward the center of the room.

Sasha: “Here you go, Zeth!”

Zeth: “More pain coming right up!”

Zeth forms four Soul Shards and throws them toward Ronzic.

Laura and Biff: “Ron, dodge!!”

Two Soul Shards slice through Ronzic’s left leg and the other two slice through his right leg, making them go limp.

Once Ronzic’s body reaches Zeth, Zeth kicks him back toward Sasha.

Zeth: “Your turn, Sasha!”

Sasha smirks as Ronzic’s body heads back toward her.

Sasha: “You won’t be needing those legs anymore since their useless now.”

Sasha uses both her hands and chops off both of Ronzic’s legs. She immediately kicks him back toward Zeth.

Sasha: “One more time!”

Zeth grins with confidence.

Zeth: “Oh yeah. This is going to be awesome.”

Zeth stands in the center of the room and kicks Ronzic upward.

Zeth forms a Soul Shine Blast while Sasha forms a Soul Black Energy Ball. Zeth and Sasha release their attacks at the same time, up toward Ronzic. Both attacks hit him at the same time and cause a large explosion, destroying parts of the second and third floor platforms.

Zeth and Sasha smile with satisfaction as they watch the explosion.

A large blob of black and red mush lands on the floor.

Zeth chuckles.

Zeth: “I suppose I was wrong. I thought there would be nothing left of your body but this blob is satisfactory enough.”

The other heroes, who were watching the battle, smile.

Suddenly, they hear Ronzic’s voice coming from the blob.

Ronzic: (Raging) “IT’S NOT OVER YET!!!!! RAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!”

All of the heroes, including Zeth and Sasha, are shocked.

Zeth: “How are you not dead!!?”

The blob begins to jiggle a bunch until it begins to recover its skin while forming new limbs. It first regrows its tail with the spike at the end. Next, it regrows its feet which are now reptile-like claws. Third, it regrows its arms which also become reptile-like claws. Finally, it regrows its head which forms a reptilian snout. The horns also grow back. It’s body becomes fully covered in scales and grows larger. The beast stands on two feet and roars up toward the ceiling.

Narrator: Mutant. Abomination. Freak. – Stage 4 Blood Form Ronzic

Sasha: “This has to be a Stage 4 Blood Form!!”

Zeth: “Since when did Blood Form allow you to regenerate like this!?

Sasha: “We don’t know what impact the combination of living mergers, the Abyss, and Blood Magic has on him.”

Zeth: “I guess we've got no choice but to keep at it…”

Narrator: Ronzic’s Blood Form continues to advance!! It’s at Stage 4, so is Ronzic now a mindless beast!?
