Alter Of Blood - Mesuda Village Arc

As Osore and “Honō” clashed blades they both jumped back before charging at each other again. While charging at each other Osore launched a tendril of darkness from the ground behind “Honō”.

“Honō” unaware of the attack coming from behind him continued to charge Osore at full speed. As “Honō” and Osore were about to clash swords the tendril of darkness wrapped around “Honō’s” torso and launched his body into the alter at the back of the church destroying it.

When the church alter began to crumble, one of the fights spectators came down from from the upper levels of the church. It was Thaddeus Sinclair the bishop of the church.

“What are yous doing, how dare you fight in this holy place” yelled Thaddeus furiously as he stared at the rubble of the alter that “Honō” laid in.

“Oops looks like we’re busted snake eyes. But since yous entertained me, I give yous these closing words. Head to the forest and yous will find the origin of the beast attacks” laughed Osore as he bowed slowly descending into the darkness beneath him.

As Osore descended into the darkness “Honō” began to get up from the rubble and make a final dash towards Osore but before he could reach him, Osore had already gone.

Thaddeus growing more and more enraged began yelling and shouting at “Honō” for all the damage before being interrupted.

“Shut up” spoke “Honō” an eerie presence coming from his words.

“How dare you speak back to me, a bishop of the church, you insolent fool” shouted Thaddeus, redder than a tomato with anger.

As Thaddeus finished speaking, he felt a cold, sharp pain enter his gut. He had been stabbed by “Honō”.

“I said be quiet” spoke “Honō” coldly as he lifted Thaddeus up on his blade and threw him from his sword and onto the rubble of the alter.

Thaddeus began to cough blood as he felt his gut where he had been stabbed. “You fool, I’m a high ranking member of the church if you kill me the whole church will become your ene-”

Before Thaddeus could finish “Honō” slashed Thaddeus’s head horizontally in half from the mouth up. As his head fell to the ground blood began to spray from the neck of his body.

As “Honō” slashed Thaddeus’s head in two, he felt something sharp poke his back before falling to the ground and losing consciousness.

“Sorry Honō I wasn’t able to wake you in time and now a man is dead because of it” spoke the person who put “Honō” to sleep.

After “Honō” fell unconscious another person came from the upper levels of the church.

“Phew thanks Isolde that could have been worse if you left him out of check” spoke the man as he put a pistol back in its holster.

“Hope you weren’t planning to use that Xander?” Questioned Selene as she lifted Honō’s body onto one of the seats along the aisle.

“Don’t know hopefully not, depends on you. What do you plan to do with him he just killed a bishop of the church, prick or fake he still was a bishop and the church will want to know what happened” demanded Xander as he looked at selene.

“Honō didn’t kill Thaddeus something else did” stated Selene causing Xander to burst out laughing.

“Is that so well how about we fact checked this as you probably know my aether is games I make any game reality so how about we play a game then” laughed Xander as he proposed the idea.

“What game?” Questioned Selene as she crossed her arms and faced Xander.

“Truth or dare” answered Xander as he sat in the aisle opposite of them.

“Sure, then I’ll go truth” responded Selene still stood facing Xander.

“Who killed Thaddeus Sinclair?” Asked Xander with a serious expression.

“I don’t know but it wasn’t Honō as it wasn’t his soul that I saw in control of his body it was a different one” answered Selene only able to tell the truth.

“I see then I guess I’ll tell the church it was that man dressed in black that killed Thaddeus then” suggested Xander as he looked at the bloody remains of both the alter and Thaddeus Sinclair before continuing to speak, “So, till then go home, heal him and get some rest yourself.”

“I will” replied Selene as she attempted to carry Honō back to the cabin.
