Chapter 72:
Nephalem
Alicia, Yūgure, and Jacob had been kicked out of the store, though they’d been allowed to at least pay for their swimsuits, which had been selected in a hurry. Since she’d only been able to try on two, she’d gone with the red one. It was the least likely to violate school dress code.
Jacob was in the bathroom. She assumed he was trying to recover from his embarrassment. Alicia could almost picture him sitting on the toilet, face buried in his hands to hide his blush. That was what she wanted to do.
She and Yūgure were sitting at a small table in front of a café. There was an empty chair meant for Jacob. Yūgure sat opposite her, idly stirring a laté with her straw.
“This is all your fault, you know,” Alicia said.
Yūgure looked up, furrowed her brow, and then scribbled on her notepad.
'You’re the one who got violent.'
“And you’re the one who wore that outfit in public,” Alicia rebutted. “I’m not sure what you were thinking, but I’m pretty sure it’s against the law to wear that kind of thing in public.”
'It is?'
“You didn’t know that?”
'I haven’t spent much time around humans in human form.'
Alicia was bemused, but then she understood that Yūgure must have never changed into human form when she was around humans. It was easier to move around as a cat. Cats didn’t have to pay for fair, they could get food from people who thought they were cute or trash cans, and they cleaned their fur by licking it. Yes, remaining as a cat sounded much easier.
“Hey, girls.”
She never got a chance to respond to Yūgure’s comment one way or the other. Five boys had wandered up to their table and were now leering down at them. They all looked like fairly average, ordinary high school boys. There wasn’t anything particularly special about their appearance, their clothes, or even their leering gaze.
“I see that you two are all alone,” one of them said. “You mind if we sit with you?”
Yūgure frowned at the same time she did.
“Yes, actually,” Alicia said, smiling. “I would mind. Please go away.”
All five boys frowned.
“There’s no need to be rude,” one said.
“Yeah,” another added.
“We were just asking to sit with you girls,” said one more.
Alicia hadn’t really intended to snap at them, but she was in no mood to have guys hitting on her, and while she didn’t really like Yūgure, she wouldn’t let some no-name humans hit on her either.
“You’re right,” Alicia said. “I apologize. However, Yūgure and I are waiting for our boyfriend to come back from the restroom.”
The five boys blinked.
“What? Both of you?”
“That’s right.” Alicia smiled so wide her eyes closed. “So do yourselves and us a favor. Get lost.”
Hm… she had snapped again. She hadn’t meant to, but it seemed she was still angry about what happened in the clothing boutique.
“That does it!” the first boy said. “We tried being nice, but if you two are gonna be a couple of bitches, then we’ll treat you like one!”
He reached out and grabbed Alicia’s shoulder. Sadly for him, that was all he managed to do before Alicia grabbed his arm, stood up, yanked him forward… right into her knee.
A loud squeal issued from the boy’s mouth as Alicia smashed her knee into his groin, but that squeal was soon cut when she rabbit punched him in the throat. As the boy stumbled backwards, choking, she grabbed him by the ears, and then brought his face down to her knee. A loud crunching sound followed as his nose broke.
“The fuck?!”
“What’s with this girl?!”
“Holy shiaaaaaaaahhhhHH!!!!”
The last person screamed as Yūgure suddenly leapt into the air and spin-kicked him in the face. His cheek distorted where she hit him. Then his feet left the ground and he spun through the air, hitting the ground seconds later at an awkward angle. Another loud cracking noise echoed through the plaza. The boy must have a broken shoulder.
The remaining three boys stared at her and Yūgure. Their expressions were frowning increasingly horrified, as though they had just seen some eldritch horror appear from the abyss. Alicia would use that fear.
“Do you three want to test my patience?” she asked, leaking her powers, which were infused with her anger.
All three boys didn’t hesitate to turn tail and run, leaving their groaning companions on the floor. Alicia sat back down. Yūgure remained standing for a second longer, staring at the two boys as if waiting for them to get up. When they didn’t, she also sat down. The sound of her slurping up her laté soon joined the pained groans of the boys.
This was the scene that Jacob walked into. He took one look at her and Yūgure. Then he looked at the boys.
He looked back at her.
“Did something happen while I was gone?”
“Just a little disagreement,” Alicia said with beatific smile.
Yūgure nodded as she continued to sip her laté.

Yay! Another segment from Chapter 1. This part isn't as long as the other one, and there isn't any ecchi, but I wanted to showcase how much ass Alicia and Yūgure can kick. I hope I did a good job.
