The Main Character And The Stone-Faced Policeman

The glasses girl is completely stunned while still strangling one of the thugs. Unlike the thugs, she has no intention to fight against the policeman.

Despite having a gun aimed at him, the werewolf thug jumps at the wall few times upwards.

"Stop right there!"

Despite the policeman's shout, the werewolf thug quickly goes to top of building and runs away leaving the dumbfounded glasses girl and his friends behind.

The policeman knows that he can't chase the werewolf thug so he aim his gun at the glasses girl and another thug suspecting them of also being superpower users.

"W- wait!"

The glasses girl says that and quickly throws her pen away to raise both of her hands. The thug near her also raises both of his hands out of fear.

Few minutes later, the glasses girl goes into the back of police car.

(I'm being taken as a suspect... You've gotta be kidding me...)

Despite her attempt to explain things, the policeman forces her to get into the police car together with the thug with headphone. The policeman also calls ambulance for the fallen thugs and calls other policemen to chase the werewolf thug.

"S- sir... I won't run away so could you please put me in another car?"

The thug with headphone says that when he is asked get into the same police car as the glasses girl's.

(Why is this guy suddenly acting like a victim!? I'm the victim here!)

The girl thinks that as she is irritated by the thug's attitude but choose to not say anything in front of the police.

Thus, the glasses girl is brought to the police office in the morning.

Around twenty minutes later, the policeman is looking at the girl's student ID card. while sitting near a desk that has a computer on it. The glasses girl is sitting at the opposite direction as the policeman and there is turned on TV on the ceiling. Both of them are inside a room within a large police office.

The TV shows two adult Japanese men wearing suits talking to each other.

"Then for our last topic, it is related to the Shinjuku Riot happened last year. Due to the riot that was conducted by group of superpower user teenagers and supernatural beings, the public is getting more concerned about superpower users and supernatural beings in general. What is your opinion regarding that matter?"

"Yes, I understand everyone's concern. However, this is precisely why I would like to emphasize the importance of Superheroes nowadays-"

The policeman suddenly talks to the girl without checking the TV.

"So you're saying that you were ambushed in that back alley on your way to school?"

The policeman says that while looking at both the card and the girl with blue school uniform. The student card shows the glasses girl's name: 'Nakamoto Fumiko'.

"Y- yes, I have been using the same back alley as a shortcut for almost two years so I didn't expect to be ambushed there..."

The glasses girl named Fumiko answers that while holding her school bag that is burnt a bit.

"Then you hurt three of them and also threatened the fourth one..."

The policeman replies nonchalantly while typing on computer near him.

Not satisfied with the policeman's reply, Fumiko starts talking again.

"B- but sir! I was really surprised when one of them sneaked up behind me! On top of that, I was dealing with five superpower users! So I cannot afford to hold back-...!"

"And beat them up all by yourself?"

Fumiko is stunned by the policeman's statement and then replies with low voice.

"... yes."

Fumiko says that while looking down.

"I see."

The policeman's expression does not change at all through their conversation. He just keep typing on his computer.

(It feels like... The more I talk, the more I feel like I will be deemed guilty...? You can't be serious!!!)

The girl thinks that as she becomes more and more panic about her situation.

"Just to confirm one more time..."

"Y- yes!?"

"You don't have superpower, do you?"

The policeman stops typing and look at the girl when he asks that question.

"Yes... the database should have shown my test from last month. The reason why I can somehow fend off those thugs is because I practiced a bit of martial arts since I was young by my parents."

The policeman looks at his computer silently after hearing Fumiko's reply.

Then suddenly, a knock can be heard from the room's door followed by a man's voice.

"Miyama-kun, the chief is calling for you!"

"Coming!"

The policeman in front of Fumiko stands up right after saying that. Then he talks to Fumiko.

"I will call your guardian soon so wait here."

"But I have school..."

"I cannot let you go now but at least I can give you an excuse letter."

"... understood."

After hearing Fumiko's reply, the policeman leaves the room.

Fumiko sighs after the policeman leaves.

(This is the worst... What's wrong with my luck today...)

With nothing else to see, she looks at the TV on the ceiling showing a female reporter talking.

"Tomorrow is finally the day! The Outer Space Superhero, Stargazer Platina, will show his plan to deal with supernatural crimes and incidents all over the world! Will the world finally be able to cope up with supernatural existence?!"

(Superhero...)

Fumiko thinks that while watching the news.

Her mind wanders off to her past memories.

She remembers her childhood days when she sat on her mother laps while her father was driving a car.

"If only I have superpower too..."

Her mother with long silver hair looks at the child Fumiko after hearing her statement and talks to her.

"Why do you want superpower?"

"I want to be Superhero like mom and dad! Then I can beat all the bad guys!"

"Fufufu, I see."

Fumiko's mother says that and pats the child Fumiko's black hair.

"But Fumiko..."

Fumiko's father suddenly talks while driving. Fumiko looks at her short black-haired father to hear what he has to say.

"Superhero does not just defeat any villain just for the sake of it."

"Eh?"

The child Fumiko says that while tilting her head a bit.

"You see, Superhero-"

However before she can remember her father's full sentence, a ringtone can be heard from her school bag. 

Fumiko immediately takes out the smartphone from her school bag.

"Ugh..."

(From school... I should have asked that policeman to contact my school too.)

She sighs again before answering the phone.

Meanwhile, the werewolf thug is running and jumping on top of buildings.

"Damn it! It's that girl's fault!"

He says that while jumping again.

The moment he lands on another build, a thunderbolt suddenly strikes his body from above.

"Ouch!!! What the!?"

The werewolf thug says that after realizing that he is paralyzed.

Then he realizes that a flying motorcycle without wheel is approaching him from above.

He cannot look up since his body is paralyzed but he talks again the moment he sees the rider.

"You...!?"

He sees a person with red cape, platinum armor, and platinum helmet that has a golden star on its forehead. That person also holds a gun on his left hand while his right hand is holding the motorcycle's handle.

"Stargazer Platina!?"

The werewolf thug can't help but to shout the name of Superhero in front of him.
