Smile For Me

I stood there watching them scream; they were begging me to help them stop the pain, but I just stood there with the same smile that had been on my face for years.

I went on my knees and patted their back; still smiling, always smiling.

I whispered soothing words into their ears; still smiling, always smiling.

They eventually calmed down; they were still shaking, trembling in my hands, but I knew how to stop the pain. I always did.

I took out my blade and dug it into their cheeks, a smile now on their face.
