Chapter 716: The Mysterious Ruler Arrives

Right after the end of the final Sun trial.

Zaydra and Maiyo stand with Solen at the center of the arena.

“Zaydra, I now bestow upon you the gemstone of the Deity of Suns,” Solen announces as he takes the sun gemstone off his own forehead.

Zaydra holds out her right hand, fully open. Solen places the gemstone in her hand.

“It is yours now,” Solen says, a warm smile across his face.

Zaydra smiles as she takes the gemstone and places it against her own forehead. “I shall wear it with honor.”

Solen nods. “I would expect nothing less.”

“As I thought, your beauty is even greater!” Maiyo shouts with charm in his voice. “Your beauty has elevated to magnificent beauty!”

Zaydra rubs her forehead with a sheepish grin. “You don’t have to say that… I mean, I will take the compliment, but… Ah, forget it.”

“Hmhmhm. There is nothing wrong with acknowledging one’s beauty.” Maiyo replies, amused.

Solen rubs his beard. “You two would make a good couple, I’d imagine.”

Zaydra opens her eyes wide with embarrassment, horizontally shaking her arms back and forth. “W-What!? N-No! A-Absolutely not!! I mean, Maiyo is more attracted to the word ‘magnificent’ than he is to women!”

Maiyo closes his eyes with a smile. “Hmhmhm. Beautiful and cute. How magnificent.”

Solen leans his head back and lets out a big laugh. “Ha! Ha! Ha! If nothing else, you two do a good job of making me laugh.”

Quickly changing the subject, Zaydra asks, “By the way, how is Keith doing?”

“I don’t know. Let’s go check on him,” Solen says with amusement.

A bit later. In the room that Keith has been training in.

Solen, Zaydra, and Maiyo all arrive in the large room with a gym aesthetic. They look around but do not see Keith anywhere.

Solen rubs his beard. “Well, that’s odd. He should be here somewhere.”

“Did he get drunk and go off somewhere?” Zaydra wonders.

“I wouldn’t mind if he took me out for another round of drinks,” Maiyo says with a quick chuckle.

“Did someone call for me?” a voice says from above.

They all look up and see Keith effortlessly doing sit-ups while hanging from a horizontal support beam close to the ceiling.

“Woah! Keith, what are you doing?” Zaydra asks, her voice revealing that she is impressed.

Keith lets go of the support beam and drops all the way down to the mat in the center of the room. “What was I doing, you ask? Well, I was training my body! I figured hanging upside down while doing physical exercises would be a good way to do that.”

“So, do you feel that you have gotten stronger?” Solen asks.

“You bet I do!” Keith says, brimming with confidence. “I’ve increased my physical strength, my magical strength, and I even developed something new.”

“Oh? And what would that something new be?” Zaydra asks, curiosity rising.

Keith waves his index finger while grinning. “It’s a secret for now. Gotta save it for when the time is right!”

Zaydra rolls her one eye. “If you say so.”

Back on Earth in the country of Sayka. It is now January 13th, Year 14,198.

Harmona walks toward a pyramid with her advisor at her side as angels investigate the outside of the pyramid.

“What’s the progress of the investigation?” Harmona asks.

The advisor looks at the clipboard he is holding, which has a lot of notes written on it. “To be frank, we’re having trouble entering the pyramid since there appears to be no obvious entrance to it.”

“So, you’re saying that this pyramid has no entrance, but the ones that Zeth and his team have entered on other planets did have one?”

“That seems to be the case.”

“Just use magic and blow a hole in it.”

“I wish it were that simple. There are two issues with that. First, even if we did blow a hole in it, we wouldn’t know where to create the hole to allow us a good entry point. Second, it’s risky to damage the pyramid before we investigate. We wouldn’t want to risk damaging something worthy of investigation. I do not think it is wise to rush this.”

Harmona sighs. “I suppose you are right. I’m just anxious—” She opens her eyes wide in shock. “Get out of the way!!”

Harmona and the male advisor each jump away in opposite directions as a blast of magic energy hits the ground where they were walking. Harmona grits her teeth in anger. “Who did that!?”

She looks up toward the top of the pyramid and opens her wide in shock. “…What…!?”

Two people stand on the top of the pyramid, obscured as silhouettes. One of them has a red glow from the left eye, confirming that one is the mysterious ruler.

Harmona trembles as she shouts, “What is the meaning of this……!!? …….Zeth!!! Zaydra!!!”

The silhouetted beings finally come into full view. Zeth is 7 feet tall, has a red cybernetic left eye, and wears a uniform that is a mix of red and gray colors. It also has a black cape.

Zaydra is 7 feet tall, has both her eyes still intact, a long bang hanging over her face, and wears a gray uniform with red shoulder pads. She does not have a cape.

Both Tyrant Zeth and Tyrant Zaydra smirk as they look down at Harmona.

Harmona has been attacked by… Zeth and Zaydra!? Just what is up with these alternate universe counterparts of Harmona’s children?
