Shota let out a long sigh as he stared at Ryoko in front of him.

“…So, in the end, Chief… what does the Special Assignment Sales Division actually do?”

Ryoko smiled gracefully and took a sip of her tea atop her elegant desk.

“Shota-kun, we don’t have to do regular work anymore. We only handle ultra-high-priority projects that affect the company’s survival and future.”

Ignoring Shota’s confusion, the phone on Ryoko’s desk rang.

She quickly picked up the receiver.

“Yes, President. Ah, that matter? Understood. We’ll get started immediately.”

“…Um, what was that call about?”

“A royal from a certain country is looking for a villa in Tokyo. Our job is to find a property that satisfies him♡”

“Wait, hold on a second! Since when are we… in the real estate business!?”

“We’re not. We’re just a regular trading company♡”

“If we can find a villa the royal likes, it’ll give us a chance to build a strong connection with that country. That way, our company can gain a favorable position in future business dealings in and around that region.”

“So the rumor that you’ve refused promotions all these years…”

“There’s no way I’d take a role that would cut into my time with you, Shota-kun. Managing other people sounds like a total hassle.”

Shota could only turn pale.

“But now that you’re officially under my command at the company too, we can take on missions like these every now and then—and have all the alone time we want at the office. Isn’t that wonderful♡”

Shota: “My corporate career… is doomed.”

A Secret Visit from Royalty — Ryoko Begins Her Diplomatic Battle

A few hours later—

Shota found himself in a VIP suite at a luxury hotel in Tokyo.

(This is bad… I am way out of my league here…!)

Across from him sat a foreign royal in an opulent suit, flanked by his entourage.

Next to Shota, Ryoko wore her usual confident smile.

“So, Your Highness. What kind of villa are you looking for?”

Ryoko asked casually—

But then—

“You there! That tone—how dare you speak to His Highness so informally!”

One of the attendants glared with disapproval.

Shota (Oh no oh no oh no this is BAD!!)

—But surprisingly, the royal himself lit up with delight.

“Oh! Japanese women speak so directly! I like it!”

“Fufu. I’m in charge of Special Sales. I don’t do ‘ordinary’ sales♡”

The prince gave an approving nod.

“I see… Then let’s get started. Show me what options you have.”

“Of course. I’ve prepared a list of properties perfect for you♡”

—With a smooth motion, Ryoko handed over a document listing luxury mansions and high-end condos in Tokyo.

Shota was speechless.

The prince scanned the document carefully, then smiled with satisfaction.

“Excellent… I’ll take this one as my villa!”

Shota (Wait—what!? Already!? That was so fast!!)

The prince stood up, smiling broadly, and took Ryoko’s hand.

“A marvelous job, Ryoko! Japanese salesmanship is truly magnificient!”

“Fufu♡ Thank you, Your Highness.”

Ryoko gave him a playful wink, which made the prince even more delighted.

“Then, let’s meet again very soon!”

Shota no longer had the energy left to be surprised.
