Chapter 720:
Beyond The Stars
Chapter 722: The Living Statues
Back with Harmona, Zaydra, and Keith in the city of the Tyrant Alternate Universe
Zaydra stares up at the statues of Tyrant Zeth and Tyrant Sasha. “I know they are not our Zeth and Sasha, but I still find myself in disbelief that they would do this.”
“I agree. This is whack!” Keith replies.
Harmona keeps her eyes focused on the statues’ faces. “These people… should not worship tyrants.”
She slowly walks closer to the statues, keeping her gaze on their faces the whole way.
“Mom? What are you doing?” Zaydra asks.
“These people should not worship tyrants,” Harmona repeats, her facial expression becoming more intense.
She clenches her fists and leaps up toward the statues’ heads. With ferocity, she slams her fist directly into the face of Tyrant Zeth’s statue.
Zaydra and Keith open their eyes wide in surprise. The mortals worshipping the statues gasp.
Harmona’s expression turns from intense to shock as she realizes her fist did not destroy the statue. “My fist alone can’t destroy this statue!?”
The statues start shaking, every limb trembling, and dust particles falling.
“Uh, Mom…?” Zaydra says, her voice barely audible.
“I don’t think I’m wasted right now, so are those statues… moving?” Keith murmurs.
Harmona slowly looks up at the faces of the statues, her eyes and mouth widening in the process. She sees the statues staring down at her, disapproval etched onto their faces.
“They’re… alive.” Harmona mumbles.
The statues, over four times Harmona’s height, remove their feet from their base. Giving little warning, Tyrant Zeth’s statue kicks Harmona, launching her into the wall of a city building, destroying a small section of the building.
The mortals all scatter away from the statues, screaming as they run for their lives.
“They can fight!?” Zaydra yells in shock.
“Yeah, and they’re headed this way!” Keith shouts.
Stomping with every step, the two tyrant statues head for Zaydra and Keith. While the Tyrant Sasha statue walks, the Tyrant Zeth statue stops and bends its knees.
“It’s up to something,” Zaydra notes.
Within a second, the Tyrant Zeth statue sprints ahead of the Tyrant Sasha statue, taking Zaydra and Keith by surprise. It slams its fist downward, but they jump just in time to avoid it. The move, however, is a diversion, allowing the Tyrant Sasha statue to grab them with both hands while they’re still in midair. It squeezes its grip tighter and tighter, the pressure causing them to scream in pain.
In major pain, Zaydra shouts, “There’s definitely powerful magic involved with these statues!!”
“Any ideas on what to do!?” Keith yells in reply.
“Just one thing! Raging Star Mode!!!”
The fiery red aura erupts around Zaydra’s whole body, its intensity tearing into the statue’s hand. She grits her teeth as she tries to spread her arms out to break free from the statue’s grasp. “I won’t be beaten by a stone statue!!”
It takes only a few more seconds, but Zaydra manages to break free, the statue’s hand crumbling to pieces in the process.
“Now, free me!!” Keith yells.
A meteor, about 6 feet in diameter, crashes into the hand gripping Keith, shattering it into pieces and freeing him.
With a few wounds on her body, Harmona rejoins the fight.
“I don’t know who specifically is powering you, but I am the Light Goddess… I will not be bested by inanimate objects!!!” She yells, her anger boiling over.
She forms multiple meteors just above her. Her eyes narrow, focusing on the statues. “Begone.” She thrusts her left arm forward, magically launching the meteors toward the statues. The meteors directly collide with both statues, shattering them into pieces.
Zaydra ends her Raging Star Mode and dusts off her hands. “Good going, Mom.”
Harmona frowns in disappointment as she looks down at her own hands. “I don’t feel good about it. I should not have had to use such a powerful attack to destroy them.”
“It’s not that big of a deal,” Keith says.
“Yeah, I would not be surprised if they were powered by our evil alternate universe counterparts,” Zaydra adds.
Harmona grits her teeth in frustration. “That shouldn’t be an excuse. Have I been slacking in this time of peace—?”
She is interrupted as the pieces of the shattered statues begin to rumble and glow with purple magic, grabbing the attention of all three of them. Their eyes widen as they watch the statues magically rebuild themselves until they are as good as new.
“You’ve got to be kidding me,” Harmona groans.
“This… might be harder than we thought,” Zaydra mumbles.
Keith lets out a nervous chuckle. “Maybe we can stop them by getting them drunk…?”

Meanwhile, at an unknown location.
In a dark room, a strange man holds a vial of glowing purple goop. The light only reveals the man’s chin and the glasses he wears.
“It seems we have some rude guests in the city… Hehehe! Maybe I should give them someone to play with,” the strange man suggests.
With Harmona, Zaydra, and Keith having more trouble than expected against the statues of the tyrants, someone else has taken an interest in giving them someone to “play with.”
