1st wish (part 1)

A month passed, Hikaru learned more and more about the world. The villagers also became more friendly with hikaru and yuki, as did the old couple. Every once in a while all villagers would gather at night to drink and eat food under the night sky.

Hikaru and Yuki during the evening, practice magic spells and try to control mana input and output. At some point the old couple noticed that Yuki was talking to air, so on one night during dinner the old couple asked

" Yuki, I saw you talking to someone while no one was there, are you okay? Is this a disease or something Hikaru"

Hikaru went in thinking hard whether he should tell the old couple about yuki and sara or not.

"Ah.. that, that's my bad habit i also talked to my self when I was little so i think yuki also got this habit from me"

Yuki sitting next to hikaru stares at him. Hikaru says with his eyes, you have to play along with it, you should have been careful of your surroundings.

The old couple replies "Yuki, you should get rid of this habit. But well we don't mind, it was cute seeing you question and answering yourself "

The only thought that came to Hikaru's mind while listening to this was "so cuteness can solve everything umm?"

Aki comes closer to hikaru and yuki says

"It's a good thing that they say Yuki talking with me, what would have happened if it were you?"

Hikaru thought about the worst case scenario and without replying finished his dinner.

By training under Aki and Sana, Yuki was able to use fire, water, earth, wind and ice magic and their combination also. While Hikaru was not as good as Yuki, he also managed to learn earth magic and water magic at a basic level.

Yuki was still learning how to cast more than one magic at the same time, controlling mana output and its precise utilization, but she was more interested in healing magic.

The books which were present in the house were also helpful in their training, there were some contents like how to make an original magic which Yuki and Hikaru were practicing on

Yuki was using it to make advanced healing spells.

Hikaru asked the grandpa about the books. Grandpa said that they were very old books which were written by a lady years ago. She used to come to the village and the grandpa liked to read books so he would ask her to lend him some.

The lady from time to time gave him the books asking nothing in return, she also helped the village during a drought. The villagers would give a warm welcome to the lady every time she came here.

Hikaru thought they were probably talking about the Grandma of Aki and Sana

Hikaru asked the name of the lady "Miss Melli"he replied

At night when hikaru was in his room, Aki came through the door. Hikaru asks "was the Grandma's name Miss Melli?".

Aki nods in agreement. Hikaru also asks Aki if Miss Melli used to write books. Aki confirms it.

Hikaru thought he was right. She was no ordinary woman, she had a talent for magic and she used her life for researching it. The books she wrote have full explanations and in depth details about magic.

No wonder Nefrim chose her to work for him in his house.

At the same time when hikaru and yuki were practicing in the village. There was a party organised for nobles and important persons which would happen every once a month so that the nobles could have political decisions with others and discuss their future with each other and make deals.

The party was organised in NERK KINGDOM which was part of MIXED RACE CONTINENT which was located at left side in world map and covering more than half area length wise and by width around one third of area

The village in which hikaru and yuki was, was a little down south side in MIXED RACE CONTINENT. A little far away from Nerk kingdom.

Nerk kingdom was situated around a little left to the centre of the MIXED race continent. Where most noble families come from time to time.

During the party Nefrim was also present there, so was a lady, she was 17 years old. She was there with her father

Her name was Mahiru and her father's name was Hestin and mother's name was Livia

She was wearing a grey colour dress, her hairs were long and shiny. A look in her eyes and you can't look away.

Hestin was incharge of Etos region in which the village in which Hikaru and Yuki lives also comes. He was well known and accepted in the kingdom. You can say he was a kind person who was well aware of problem of people his region and always worked hard to make his region a better place

Hestin was suspicious of Nefrim for a long time, but due to lack of any evidence of crime done by him, Hestin couldn't speak openly about his suspicions. Mahiru was aware of her father being suspicious so she would put her guard whenever he was around.

Nefrim was holding a glass of wine while chatting with other people at the party. It was a normal conversation about their personal problems.

Nefrim catches a glimpse of Mahiru. He excuses others and heads toward Mahiru.

Mahiru sees Nefrim coming towards her. A glass of wine in his hand with one hand in pocket, in a black suit.

Mahiru puts her guard up and with a forced smile she greeted

"Oh.. sir Nefrim. It’s a pleasure to meet you."

"Please, the pleasure is all mine to see you "

"How have you been sir Nefrim?"

"All fit and fine. And what about you, Miss Mahiru were you able to find someone who caught your eyes"

"Sadly no, no man was able to win my heart in all these years "

"Then what about me?"

"How many times are you going to ask me about it sir Nefrim" said Mahiru and laughed

"Aaa...But what is it that stops you from becoming my wife? Money, status, power, a good looking face i have everything "

"No person could have everything in this world sir Nefrim, and what i seek is not what you mentioned "

"Then tell me what you seek may be I can get hold of it for you, then you can become my wife"

"If I told you what I seek sir Nefrim then it will not hold any value"

"I wonder what you seek then"

Both stare in each other's eyes. The music starts playing. People started dancing in couples. Nefrim put the glass of wine at table then raised his one hand while pulling other back and lowering his head a little

"at least you can give me honor to dance with you"

Mahiru knows she can't reject him because everyone was looking at them and he was a person with high status. But she didn't want to dance with Nefrim. Suddenly someone calls Mahiru

" There you are, Mahiru. I was looking for you all over the places "

Mahiru turns back and sees her best friend Hana.

Hana was a childhood friend of mahiru, she also belonged to a noble family. Their fathers were friends and they would occasionally go to each other's houses and during such visits Mahiru met Hana.

They were not in contact for around a year and Hana knew about mahiru and sir Hestin suspicions about Nefrim. When she saw Nefrim asking to dance with Mahiru she called Mahiru out.

"O... sir Nefrim, how are you doing?" asked Hana

"As good as ever" Nefrim replied

"Sorry, but I have to take Mahiru with me. It's been months since we last talked, I have a lot of things to catch up with her. Now excuse us please "

Hana holds Mahiru's hand and takes her to the balcony. Mahiru was happy to see her best friend after a long time.

In the balcony both hug each other and before saying anything else Mahiru thanked Hana for helping her.

Hana said it was not a big problem, she also doesn't like that guy.

While they were chatting on the balcony, Nefrim was looking at both of them from the inside. He started searching for Luke at the party.

Luke was the person working directly under Nefrim. You can say that he was the guy whom Nefrim trusted the most. Luke also helped Nefrim in the village incident.

Luke opened an academy of Magic and research in between MIXED RACE CONTINENT and HOLY CONTINENT , on a big island. It also provided classes for basic education. Nobles , commoners, half beasts, elves of all types of races were studying and teaching there.

Nefrim finds Luke drinking wine with other people, he gives him a hand sign to come with him. Luke follows Nefrim , they go in the corner, there are less people around there.

"Looks like marrying Mahiru isn't possible. Are the preparations done for what I have told you?"

"Yes sir Nefrim, if you want we can start executing the plants."

"So you were able to find the girl, we say in the future?"

"Yes, Lues found her"

"Then start it"

"As your wish sir"

Luke went out of the party. After some time the party ends everyone goes back to their home.

On that night Hestin was killed,clouds were ruling the night sky, it was raining very hard. Mahiru was barely able to survive. She saw her father and mother get killed in front of her. While crying and regretting not being able to save her parents. She left for Hana's house with the little money she could find in all that chaos. Which was the only place she could hope to stay at, feel secure and ask for help.
