Chapter 4:
Through Your Lens
On a bright and sunny Saturday morning, the lovely birds chirp through the sky.
I woke up from the sound of the chirping birds getting ready for the morning.
Finally it’s Saturday again. I'm gonna do new things today.
I prepare for my breakfast while listening to the radio.
After a few minutes I finished my meal and went for a short walk around.
As he walks around he wonders how to spend his weekend.
Gathering his thoughts completely, remembers he joined a photography club.
“Since I'm here already, I’m gonna take some photos and borrow a camera.”
“Right, I haven’t asked for her contact.”
(Laughing) “I will just utilize what I have right now.”
A peaceful yet relaxing atmosphere of the trees nearby. Making anyone relaxed with nature, he enjoys the scene.
I took photos of trees, birds, and anything nearby.
Snaps
Snaps
Snaps
This ain’t good, I need to practice more.
I look at my phone and his snaps are way off. Either being too bright or too dim, or out of focus. I opened the camera again to take more photos. This time my photos are better than a while ago. Managing to blend the brightness greatly and having the focus on the subject.
This is much better now!
He celebrated with joy on small progress. On the other side she is walking alongside her friends, unbeknownst to them they are in the same location.
“I prefer these photos I took just now, at the same time I’ll have something to show when I get introduced to the club members.”
I walked around the park to find a new location to take pictures at.
Time passes by, the sunny Saturday morning turns into a windy one, enough to make the tree dance.
I'm about to enter the cafe, and accidentally bumps into someone.
Bump!
Watch where you’re going next time.
(Sorry) “I’m sorry I wasn’t looking where I'm going.”
(Sigh) I should get a coffee later on.
Both of them walk away facing the opposite directions.
I reached my destination, a food cafe. A busy and warm atmosphere welcomes him.
The sound of a sizzling pan, with a pleasant aroma coming in from the kitchen.
He enters the place to order.
(Smiling) “Good day Sir, what would you like to order?”
“A honey garlic chicken please.”
He sits, the aroma from the kitchen lingering in the air making anyone’s stomach growl.
Door opening sound effect.
The sound of the door shows a beautiful lady, with a camera on her strap.
“That girl looks familiar…”
(pauses)
“Its her!?”
(Nervous) “I look terrible right now, I hope she doesn’t notice me!”
He focuses on eating breakfast, in high hopes she doesn’t notice him.
(Wondering) “Woah she’s gorgeous, is she on a date or something?”
“Doesn’t matter, I will just finish eating my breakfast and go back to photographing.”
Without saying a word to her, he proceeds to eat his lunch in this tense situation hoping she doesn’t see him.
He finished eating his lunch, and exited the cafe without saying any word to her.
“Idiot why you are avoiding her!”
Frustrated on himself for avoiding her for no reason at all.
The sunny Saturday afternoon, a perfect time for peaceful time.
He peacefully walks in the afternoon, heading his way to a nearby arcade.
(Thinking) “What am I supposed to do with the photos I’m taking?
(pauses)
Right, post it online..”
As he is about to enter the arcade, he’s welcomed by a busy and cheerful atmosphere.
On one side an excited couple spending time together in their arcade, on the other hand a group of friends enjoying their hangouts.
(Wondering) “I wonder if I could experience something like those couple doing right now”
The thought of her appeared.
(Frustrated) “What the hell? I barely even know her, but why did I have a thought of her when I said ‘couple.’”
Those thoughts made his frustration turn into laughter.
(Chuckling) “I can’t even talk to women, and I’m imagining that kind of scenario.”
Distracting himself from those thoughts, the cheerful and noisy sound of the arcade lingers on.
The sound of excitement, the sound of disappointment, and the sound of accomplishment.
He went to play a rhythm game to distract himself from thoughts.
“It's been a long time since I have played this game.”
“Maybe I still have the skills.”
I played the game with excitement after not playing it for a long time, however the excitement lasted short.
He misses note after note, pressing too slow. Wonders himself.
“Why am I missing too many notes, maybe I am not used to playing this anymore?”
He presses the notes slower, like his senses back at the coffee shop when he encountered her.
Out of rhythm, and hesitant on the next course of action.
A screen showing beat map passed with a ranking of C.
“I guess I’m rusty after all, or I am just nervous for something?”
“I don’t understand it fully.”
