That's the only thing that matters to me.

It's time for the exam. Everyone gets up early in the morning.

Take a bath, eat their breakfast. Take their wands and swords. Locks the house and goes to the academy.

They reached the academy. There were a lot more adults than the students. There were no students in sight. They were given a rest day because of the teachers exam.

All the ones in view were there for an exam. They went to a lady on the desk.

The lady gave them the room number in which their exam was going to be held.

"We will inform everyone when we are ready to start the exam. You can view around the academy in the free time" said the lady

They saw a garden and went there.

The area of the academy was not fully covered by buildings, there was a garden, full plain ground for sword fighting etc.

"It is pretty big." said Hiakru

"It sure is" said Aki while looking around

A lady comes

"Those who are in field of teaching please go to your respective room or area"

"It's not even a few minutes and you came to call for us. We could have stayed there" said Hikaru

"Let's go Hikaru" said Sana

"Okay, you are going to a fighting area right?"

"right"

Hikaru and Sana walk a little then Hikaru sees that Yuki and Aki are not coming.

"Are you not coming?' asked Hikaru

"Those are not the field we applied for." says Aki and Yuki

"Then for what post you applied for Yuki and Aki?"

"I will tell you after i pass the exam" said Yuki

"same here" replied Aki

"Why the suspense? well, then see you after the exam"

"Good luck" wished both Yuki and Aki to Sana and Hikaru

Hikaru reached his room number, and sat on his seat.The papers were given to each candidate.

The exam starts. The exam was of 1 hour time limit, No one was allowed to exit before time.

20 minutes in and Hiakru solved 70 percent of the paper.

'I don't get any more than this. It's asking about the enchants for spells and I haven't ever used one.And They don't allow me to leave early.'

Hikaru gives up and starts staring at the invigilator.

Hikaru stared so long that even the invigilator started what was the matter with Hikaru.

He comes towards Hikaru and asks

"What's the matter? Have you answered all the questions or do you want something from me?"

"Neither. I answered what I knew about. I have nothing to do now"

He picks up Hikaru's answer sheet and looks at it like he knows every answer.

After reading 50 percent of Hikaru's answer he glances at Hikaru from the top of the paper then goes back to reading the rest of the answers.

After reading all of them he asked

"Do you want to write more?"

Hikaru wonders why he asked.

"No i don't know anymore than this"

He scratches his back of head. Looks at Hikaru and says

"Then you can go"

Hiakru raises both eyebrows like given an early day off from work.

"Really?'

"Yes."

"Thanks sir, I will treat you some day I promise."

He smiles a little and says

"I will be waiting"

Hikaru leaves the room.The invigilator look at the answer sheet again and thinks

'I have to cancel his interview also, he doesn't need to give one'

A lady comes in

"I have told everyone not to give permission to exit he room before the exam is over then wh-"

She stops in middle and quickly apologized

"Oh, let him go. I was the one who gave permission to him."

"Okay sir."

"And don't tell him about me please'

"As you wish sir"

The lady goes back to Hikaru.

"What did he say?"

"You are free to go, i am sorry for stopping you"

"No problem, you were just doing your duty" said Hiakru with a smile and went to the garden to wait for others.

The results were given the day exams were held and the next day interviews were held for those who passed the written exam. Sana, Yuki and Aki don't need to give an interview.

Hikaru was going to teach both common classes and magic classes.

You can't decide to choose between one.

You have to take both.

Hikaru decides to walk around a little.

There were gardens, ponds for fishes, benches to rest on, dorms for students.

Hikaru went a little further.

He saw a dorm. It was different from others.

The structure and vibe it was giving made it look like it was for some special people.

He walks around that area for a little while.

Hikaru decided to go back.

:Thud:

Just around the corner he bumps into someone.

"Sorry, Are you okay?"

It was a girl. She looked like around the age of 14.Her eyes were closed.

Another girl comes from the corner. She looked around the same age as the other.

"Ah! Are you okay."

Then she saw Hikaru and glared at him.

"Sorry, i accidentally bumped into her" Hikaru helped to stand her up.

The other girl hits his hand.

"Don't touch her. Why are you here?"

"I..i was just walking around"

"It's not allowed for a stranger to walk around the female dorms."

"Sorry, i didn't know that"

"Let's go to the dorm, don't waste your time," said the girl Hikaru bumped into.

She glares at Hikaru again and goes to the dorm Hikaru was curious about.

"Do I look that much beautiful?" Hikaru gives sarcasm to himself and laughs at himself.

Hikaru went back. He saw Sana coming there.

"How did it go?"

"Passed" Sana smiled

"They will give your result today around evening right?"

"Yup"

"And then tomorrow is the interview."

"I dont even know if i will pass the written one"

"Don't worry, you will "

Aki and Yuki come calling for them.

"How did it go Sana" asks Yuki

"Passed. What about you two?"

"They accepted me" said yuki

"Me too" said Aki

"Accepted for what?" Asked Hikaru

"I will work as a doctor" said Yuki

"I will work as dorm incharge " said Aki

"You could have told me if there was such a thing" Hikaru yelled at Aki

"Why do I have to increase my competition? I am not suited for teaching"

" Nor am I."

" Now now calm down" said Yuki

He calmed down a little.

"You can go home back first i will come after checking the results" said hikaru

"No, I want to see it with my own two eyes," said Aki to Hikaru with eyes which can make anyone angry.

"You will be killed by me someday" not really but hikaru was pissed so he said that.

They waited for results to come.

A lady came, it was the one who stopped hikaru from leaving the room early. She announced

" You can check your result on the board"

Everyone went there.

Hikaru and others started looking for Hikaru's name.

"No. Nope. Not here also."

There was no name of Hikaru on the list.

The number of one who passed was not more than 6 people. So it's not like they missed Hikaru's name somewhere.

The lady came towards Hikaru and signalled him to lean a little. Hikaru leaned, she whispers in his right ears

"Come with me sir"

'D...don't give me a heart attack' Hikaru's heart almost jumped out of his chest.

Hikaru said to others

"I will be back in a minute"

Hikaru calmed himself down and thought 'I got the wrong idea. But that sensation, I am conscious of my right ear now"

Hikaru was lost in the loop of that sensation.

The lady takes hikaru to a room.

They opened the door

"Sir"

Hikaru peeks from behind.

A man in a suit, sitting on a chair.On the table in front has information of some people.

One of them has Hikaru's name. He is staring at it.

Hikaru looks at the person.He seems somewhat familiar

He looks up toward Hikaru.

It was the invigilator.

"Invigilator sir!"

"He is not-" The lady tries to correct Hikaru

"I will tell him myself you can go now"

"okay sir"

The door closes.

"Take a seat Hikaru"

Hikaru sits.

The seat was warm.

'Someone was sitting on the same seat before me'Hikaru looked around the room.

Trophies, some broken swords and wands placed as some important painting.

"First of all, You can call me by Takenji"

"Tankenji sir, why do you call me?"

Takenji folds his hand on the table and rest his chin on them

"To tell you that your name is not on the list"

'What?Did you call me to make fun of me.I mean i checked the results, even i know that.'

"But it doesn't mean you failed"

'Wait, is he motivating me? to try again after 5 years'

The exams for teachers in the academy are organized every 5 years. Sometimes not even 1 person passes it.

"I pass you."

"eh?"

"you don't even need to take the interview"

Hikaru slaps his ears.

"What?"

"You passed"

"B...But you can't decide that"

"o...sorry i forget to tell you i am the vice principal"

Hikaru lost words. He stares at Takenji.Tilting his head, Takenji copies him.

"Okay" that's the only word Hikaru said and in such a calm way and expression that Takenji gets surprised.

"That's it?"

"Aaaaaa................well that's the only thing that matters to me" says Hikaru while averting his eyes then looking back in Takenji's eyes.

Tankenji laughs a little.

"You can go now. I have some work to do . I will meet you again some day" said Takenji while giving a smile.

Hikaru stands up, head towards the door

"Then see you later sir"

Hikaru opens the door.Almost goes out,

Takenji calls him

"Hikaru i will be waiting for the treat, don't forget"

Hikaru looks back and said

"I am proud of my cooking skill. I will make something special someday for you sir." with a smile.

"hahahaa..... That a good smile.I will be waiting"

"Bye Bye"

Hikaru left the room. He looks around.

'May be it was my imagination, there is no one here' thought Hikaru and went back.

"Two this time huh" said Takenji

Yuki and others saw Hikaru coming.

"Where did you go?" Asked Yuki

"To the vice principal room"

"Why?"

"They called me."

"For what?"

"To tell me that i passed"

"Congratulations!!" Said everyone

"That only leaves the interview " said Sana

"I also don't need to come for an interview tomorrow, He said you don't need to."

"Did you bribe him?" Asked Aki

"No! I also don't know why but he passed and i didn't care for why"

"That's good news. Let's celebrate tonight" said yuki

" I will cook something delicious. Let's go, I have to go shopping for vegetables and meat."

They left for home.

A woman was sitting on a bench under the tree shades.

:clank clank clank:

"That take too much time"

"I was listening to the other person talk with Tankenji sir."

"What did Tankenji sir say?"

"I passed and I also don't have to come for an interview"

"Then why do you look a little off"

"He said I was second"

"In rank?"

"Yes"

"Ahh"

"What about you"

"Don't let it get to you. You passed that matter. We will have a feast tonight "

"Ya let's go" smiled Mahiru and went to their house.

Mahiru- 50 minutes, score 50 percent

Hikaru- 20 minutes, 70 percent
