They annoyed me. I had thought we would have a last good time, but instead, they decided to spoil it. It didn’t matter. It would soon be over, and I would return to the Masters.

“And so this is the end”, I said, and turned back to Se-le-ni.

It was a shame she never decided to walk with me, and instead chose Ka-ma-la and the Seed. She would have been a powerful ally, but there was nothing I could do about it.

“What will you do?”

I smiled.

“Buying yourself time, are you? I do not fall for such tricks.”

I raised my hand.

“Goodbye.”
