“No!”

Bo-lo-to lowered his hand, and everything went dark. I floated, not knowing where I was. Was this death? The air was still, and I tried to scream, but if any sound left me, I didn’t hear it. Where was I? I tried to glance around, but I wasn’t sure if my eyes were open or closed. A faint whisper of what must have been a screamed floated by, and I reached out my arms and began to paddle towards it.
