Chapter 18:

New Power - Desecration Arc

Engulfed in Darkness - Becoming a Villain in Another World (Part II)

Wisteria stayed behind as Tomokazu launched himself at Number Two. He raised his fists, swinging wildly. Number Two paced himself, dodging a punch to the left, then a punch to the right. However, he still felt as if he was getting pushed back. Without warning, Tomokazu jumped away, back towards Wisteria, who still hadn't moved a muscle.

Tomokazu bent his elbows and punched the air.

The desecrator looked on in confusion. What was he doing? Was he fighting ghosts?

Number Two felt a huge gust of wind take him from under his feet, causing him to crash straight into the brick wall behind him. His back made a huge hole in the beautifully crafted red brick layered wall, causing the rest of the bricks to crumble around him and disintegrate into dust.

"Impressive, isn't it?" Tomokazu laughed. "I never really used my magic a lot before hand, but not having a sword for the last six months made me resort to more, creative methods. By punching the air, I can force it to travel in any direction I want. It doesn't do much damage, but it is great for stalling."

"And why would you need to stall? You afraid of me?" Number Two laughed, still confident in his abilities.

"I'm just letting my friend here charge up her manna. Wisteria? The stage is yours."

Wisteria tucked her hair behind her ears and studied her opponent. It was obvious that he was a lot stronger than Number One. There shouldn't be any messing around in this fight. They had to go all out from the very start. She aimed her palms down at the ground, falling ice forming and sticking to the asphalt road. She stood on top of it, and then balanced herself on it. The ice was freezing, but in her training, Wisteria had gotten used to it.

At that moment, she aimed her hands up in the air, and she formed a huge icicle, forming up through the ground. Number Two was at first confused, because not only did the icicle miss him by a long distance, it also obstructed his view.

That was when he realized. In a panic, he blocked his body by crossing his arms, as Wisteria's body came through the icicle and straight through, punching him right in the chest. He was flung just a few meters backwards, but he took flight. He scanned the area. Wisteria was gone. It was beginning to feel like the worse game of cat and mouse ever.

A huge blow was dealt to the back of his head. He yelped in pain, turning around and rubbing his head. He swiftly dodged, taking the fight to a higher altitude. His eyes were blurry from the impact.

"What?! No fair! My mission parameters didn't tell me you could fly!" Number Two howled like a spoilt child that didn't get what they wanted. Wisteria simply shrugged her shoulders and smirked at the robot's pathetic nature.

After the past six months, and a lot of learning from Kage, Hiroshi and Tomokazu, Wisteria had finally learned how to fly. She wasn't as fast as the other three, or as stable, but she could fly, and that was all that mattered to the young woman. She was getting a kick out of this.

"Awww, what's the matter? Throwing your toys out of the pram?" she teased, in a mocking voice. "How pathetic."

She expected Number Two to get even more upset, or angry, to throw his judgement off. That way, the battle would be easier. But Wisteria forgot that these weren't humans that could feel emotions.

"Oh, I don't really care," Number Two laughed again. "I'm actually more excited now. You actually have a chance against me! How adorable!"

Wisteria took a step back, and she slowly began sweating. The desecrator wasn't even the slightest bit scared or concerned. Wisteria launched herself forward, determined to show her new power to the desecrator.

She launched her feet forward as she slammed her heels hard into Number Two's chest. The desecrator looked stunned at first, but with a smirk on his face, he grabbed Wisteria by the ankles and didn't let go. She tried desperately to kick his wrists to get out of the hold, but it was too tight. He swung her around, over and over again, as she screamed the whole time. She was being to feel sick. Her manna was being distorted all over the place. Number Two swung his arms downwards, and let go. Wisteria began plummeting to the ground. She wanted to gain her focus back.

However, Number Two was there first. He followed her down towards the ground, and landed a clean punch to the side of her cheek. Wisteria continued falling, but she managed to switch direction at the last second and avoid the ground entirely. She landed on her feet, and crouched down low to minimise the damage on her knees, all the time while she was sliding on the floor with ice underneath her feet. Number Two slowly floated towards the ground, still with that smirk on his face that Wisteria was only dying to wipe off.

She then dashed forward into the air, but Number Two cuaght her by the arms, both of them having a staring contest with one another.

"Got you!" Number Two laughed, but Wisteria wasn't phased. Instead, she headbutted the fake Hiroshi as hard as she could. He flew backwards, thumbling over backwards multiple times. At first, he wasn't too concerned, but then he noticed that his exterior skin was leaking slightly. Number Two felt his forehead, and yelped in pain. He took his hand away and looked at his palm.

Iceicles?

"I froze my sweat on my forehead. Don't underestimate me, faker. We are on the same level," Wisteria said firmly.

"I know, I know, but you're not going to kill me, are you?"

"Oh, really? And why is that?"

"You know why," Number Two folded his arms, slightly agitated. He knew of the multiple people that called themselves 'The Ardor Killers', and he knew their weaknesses and strengths.

Wisteria cared too much. And he knew that it would be her downfall.
