SURPRISE !!

I was standing there thinking whether to laugh or cry for this guy, Hugo, because for him to lose to me in such a way is sad at this point. I expected his sword to be stronger. I even held back 90% of my power to match him in strength to maybe teach him as a rival of some sort, but he's too weak.

"Anyone else wanna challenge me ?"

Everyone looks at each other, thinking if they are strong enough to face such a formidable opponent like Haruki. Everyone wonders who is stronger and who has the power to defeat him. Starting with one person, everyone began turning to Prince Arthur.

With that, I am now facing my roommate. I hope she's not too weak. I take my stance still, only using my bare hands. She comes in with a slash from below, followed by an earth spell with pointed stones coming down. I jumped over her sword and teleported behind the stones. I then landed on her sword before kicking her in the face. I remembered to go easy on her, so I stepped back so she could recover.

The crowd goes wild as everyone stops to watch this fight unfold. Athena recovers and creates a mist with water. She uses knives to strike him, slashing his hands and legs. By stomping the ground, Haruki dispels the mist, revealing Athena's location. As he leaps forward, Athena sends condensed water balls at him. Ignoring the balls of water, they surprisingly manage to pierce through his skin. Taking advantage of the air still being wet, he uses electro to cause Athena to get struck by lightning. Now unable to move, Haruki wins the match.

She was rendered unconscious. I needed to get her home. I swiftly teleported to the dorm and placed her on the bed. I had no idea that lightning could hurt her so severely. I spun around and received the shock of my life. Out of nowhere, I was caught off guard by a person who wasn't supposed to be here. Just out of the shower, Kuragari stood there. From what it seems, she was drying her hair.

She was also surprised as she never expected Rukito to teleport straight back. She then casually says , "Surprise!! Long time no see, my darling Rukito." As she laughs in a guilty way , Rukito gets angry and softly screams at Kuragari, saying, "It's Haruki, that's what I go by here. No one knows my real name, and I'd like it to stay that way for now. Also, what are you doing here? How long have you been here?"

She tells him that she has been here from the day he came. She's also his cat, Kuro. Because he took her essence in order to learn how to read minds, she was able to track him and teleport to him in that way. So she knows everything that happened while he was here. Rukito is shocked, as well as embarrassed, about all the stuff she has seen and heard as Kuro. He tells her not to disclose anything she may have seen or heard, to which she agrees. She tells him that she wants to help him, which is why she came. He agrees to let her stay, but she needs to pretend to be a cat.    

We focus on healing Athena, and then we go somewhere private to have a chat. Kuragari understands my plan but thinks it may be overkill. With the restrictions placed on a first year, things will be hard, so Kuragari suggested keeping things low for a year so that next year , I can get on the student council . A position there is only available from second years and above, and it comes with its perks.

Being in the student council allows me to skip class as long as I can catch up and still pass with a good grade. They also allow access to places that not even a normal third- year can get to. The role of the student council is mainly split into two groups.
 One is to keep order in the school when teachers are not around and is allowed to deal with issues if push comes to shove. With that, patrolling around the school is their job as well. Lastly, they need to allocate funds to club activities , add rules if needed, and address the school governing body to update them on the students to allow them a break for a fun day/event like a festival. Long story short, they have control of this school to some degree.  

Shortly after discussing their plan, Kuragari trusts Kuro again so they can get back. Once they return , Haruki makes something for Athena. They healed her, so now she's just sleeping. After an hour, she finally wakes up.

Haruki is happy and apologizes to her, as he used more power than she could handle. She brushes it off, but deep down she now sees the extent of Haruki's power. She yearns to be as strong. Haruki agrees to train her on the condition that one day she must do something and can't say no.
