Chapter 13:
Crazy About You
A month later,
Amilda sat in the house expecting Aayan call.
"Good morning, Amilda." Her mother said walking to her.
"Good morning, Mum." She said replying to her mother's greeting.
"What are you thinking about?" Her mother asked.
"Aayan." She replied.
"Alright, you can make Aayan come here since your father is not around." Her mother said but she shook her head.
"No Mum, Aayan told me that his brother's life is in danger," Amilda said.
"Saab Avil's life?" Sumitra asked her daughter.
"Yes, Mum," Amilda said.
Her mother looked at Amilda and took a deep breath then walked to take her sit beside her daughter.
"Mum!" Amilda called looking at her mother.
"Yes, Amilda." Her mother said.
Amilda paused for a while then looked at her mother's eyes.
"Since this is the last day of the year, I would like to visit Aayan." She said and her mother shook her head.
"You can't do that." Her mother said and turned her back on her.
"Mother, this is for my happiness," Amilda said, and Sumitra took a deep breath, looking at her daughter.
"If everything you told me about your aunt is true, then why do you want to go visit Aayan? You lied to us about your aunt and you want to go search for new lies against your aunt." Her mother said.
"Mother!" Amilda called. "Why is it so hard for you to believe me?"
"She may not like me anymore but she won't do any harm to her niece." Her mother said and Amilda looked on.
"Mother!" Amilda called and her mother walked away.
Seeing her mother walk away, Amilda put her head on her lap.
"Tomorrow is the beginning of a new year and they will be leaving in two days. I wish them the best." She said picking up her phone.
She smiled when she saw her phone ring and looked at the screen. She saw Aayan's name written on the screen and smiled.
"Hello, Aayan," She said picking up the phone.
"Hello Amilda, I miss you so much," Aayan said and tears of joy fell off Amilda's face.
"I also miss you. I told my mother that I would like to come to visit you, but she disagreed with me." Amilda said.
"Alright do not worry," Aayan said. "Your mother wants the best for you."
"Alright!" Amilda said.
They spoke for some minutes.
Amilda couldn't help but feel sad.
"Why am I feeling sad?" She asked herself. "Why do I feel like I won't see Aayan anymore."
"That is because he is much more older than you and he is leaving you to get married to someone else." Her mother said but Amilda shook her head.
"I don't believe that, Mum. I know you are against the idea of me loving Aayan but I still love him and always will." Amilda said and this got Sumitra upset.
Sumitra raised up her hand to slap Amilda.
"Amilda!" She called raising her hand up.
Amilda looked at her mother's hand which was up.
"Mother!" She called and her mother brought down her hand.
"I accept your relationship with him but I won't want you to continue that. You should go to college next year." Her mother said.
"I am always going to love my Aayan in college." She said and got up.
"Amilda, get back here." Her mother said but she didn't answer.
"What is wrong with my daughter?" Sumitra asked herself and sat on a couch.
Someone hugged her from the back, and she smiled as she knew who it was.
"Welcome back." She said and got up.
"What would you like to have?" She asked her husband.
"You!" Yash said and she smiled.
He took her by the hand and turned her around.
"My love, I got you something," Yash said and Sumitra smiled.
"What is it?" She asked.
Yash smiled and brought out a box which he gave to her.
"Let's see what is in here?" Sumitra asked and opened the box.
She opened her mouth as she saw what her husband had brought her.
"A new phone, wow. Thank you." She said and hugged her husband.
She smiled and ran calling her Amilda.
In her room, Amilda laid and tried to figure out why her mother was calling her.
"Yes, Mum!" She shouted walking out of her room.
"Welcome Dad." She said, seeing her Dad, who stood smiling and looking at his wife.
"Here is what your father got me," Sumitra said, showing her new phone to Amilda, who smiled,d, looking at her mother.
She walked to a couch and sat.
Sumitra walked to her husband again and hugged him.
"I love you." She said.
"I also love you," Yash said.
Amilda sat and wondered how it would be if she married Aayan.
"I should focus on making it through college." She said to herself.
Her father looked at her and smiled.
"I would like to take you out tomorrow to celebrate." He said, and Amilda smiled, nodding.
"I only wish Dad would take me to my Aayan." She said to herself.
With this said, her father sat while she, along with her mother, went to the kitchen to get her father's meal.
After serving his meal, Amilda packed up clearing the table and washing the plates before heading to her room.
Getting into the room, she laid down with a smile on her face as she looked up.
"Aayan, I want you to leave that house soon. I want you to be free. I will obey your rules for me to complete my education and then marry you." Amilda said looking up.
Minutes later, she slept just to wake up hours later.
"Good day, ma, Good day, sir." She heard someone greet and walked out of the room.
Getting out of the room, she met only her parents.
"I heard someone..." She was saying when her father cut in.
"Here is a parcel for you." Her father said, handing a parcel to her.
"From who?" Amilda asked collecting the parcel.
"Your aunt?" Her mother said and Amilda stared at the parcel while her hand shook.
"Amilda!" Her father called but she ran into her room with her Parcel.
Getting to her room, she closed the door and walked to her bed where she opened the parcel.
She saw a chocolate in the box and wondered why her aunt would send that to her. Her eyes caught a letter beside the chocolate and she smiled.
"I know what this woman can do," Amilda said to herself and opened the letter.
Her hand shook as she read the letter.
"She is planning to kill her husband tomorrow. Why is she like this?" Amilda asked no one but herself. "I should go meet my father with this."
She held the letter and was about to leave the room but thought against it.
"I can't let Dad know about this. How is he going to feel?" Amilda asked herself thoughtfully.
Without any more thought, she walked to the living room and held up the letter to her father.
"Dad!" She called.
"Amilda, I am tired." Her father said and walked away.
"Dad!!" Amilda called but her father didn't reply.
"Where is Mother?" She asked and walked around the house but didn't find her mother.
"This is awful. I can't let Aunt have Aayan." She said. "First thing tomorrow, as I go out with Father, I will have to escape to save Saab Avil from his wicked wife's clutches."
Amilda nodded her head and immediately walked into her room dropping the letter in the box.
"I won't take the chocolate as it might be poisoned," Amilda said to herself and sat down.
Her mother walked into the house with a bag and called for Amilda whose ear was plugged in her room as she listened to some musics.
After some minutes, her mother walked into the kitchen and dropped the bag.
She walked to the living room as she felt something bad was going to happen.
"Allah, save my Amilda." She said as the bad feeling was about Amilda.
With this, she walked into her room and met her husband sleeping.
"Can we have a talk?" She asked, shaking her husband, who sat up grudgingly.
"Can we have this talk tomorrow as I have a lot of work to do today?" Her husband asked.
"I know that you will be going out for some work but I need your time," Sumitra said.
"What time? I do not have any time to spare, I need some rest." Yash said.
"It's about Amilda," Sumitra said.
"Amilda would be fine. Trust." Yash said and went back to sleep.
Sumitra watched her husband as he slept and raised her hand up.
"I trust you." She said and got up from the bed.
She walked to the kitchen in order to prepare some snacks but couldn't as still felt worried.
"I should check on Amilda." She said and walked out.
She walked to Amilda's room and knocked on the door, but Amilda didn't answer, and she sat on the floor weeping.
