CHAPTER-4 All ALONE

"That will be 100 universal credits."

"Here you go, a hundred universal credits!" sighed Adam

" The language transmitter that was given to us after we landed on this planet is not working properly. There is nothing I can do about this; it is a necessary investment if I want to survive on this planet," said Adam, as he was disappointed.

"Now I have only 900 universal credits left, and I have to use them wisely. First, I need a place to stay, and then I need to manage food expens-, oh, I'm sorry, I was not looking ahead."

"You are sorry?, You just stepped on my shoes, which are worth 2000 universal credits. Are you going to pay me back that much money?"

"I said I am Sorry, sir. Please don't make a bigger scene, and there is no way the shoes are worth more than 2000 credits. Are you trying to rob me?"

While Adam was counting his leftover universal credits,  A thug took advantage of that and bumped into Adam, and is now demanding compensation from Adam. Adam quickly understood that this was a trap and tried to run away.

"Look, there is a wanderer. If you don't stop, I will call them here." 

"W-what? A wanderer on the streets?" The thug looks back to check if there was a wanderer, but nobody was there. Adam was bluffing to make a run

"That little bastard thinks he can run away from me?

The thug starts to run after Adam, 

"Shit, this is a dead end"

"Looks like you can't run away anymore. You'd better pay me 2000 universal credits."

"I don't have that much money."

"Do you think I haven't seen you count your credits when you stumbled on me? Stop lying and give me the money."

The thug starts using cosmic power and beats up Adam until he is left unconscious and robs him of all his universal credits. After some time passes, Adam comes back to his senses.

"Ugh, it hurts so much. That mother fu**er, he just beat me up and robbed me of all the credits I had. It feels like I have a broken bone; now I don't even have credits to get myself treated."

Adam clenched his fists in frustration as he was not able to do anything, stood up and started walking with the support of a wall, and started to question himself.

"Why god, why is this happening only to me? What did I do to deserve this punishment?, Why can't I use Cosmic power? Is there a point in my living anymore? My friends have been enrolled in the training academy and are happy, my family is dead. If I try to survive here, I will keep getting exploited because I can't use the cosmic power."

As Adam questions himself, he walks out of the city and keeps walking on ahead without knowing where he is headed. After walking for a day, Adam walks into a forest, and he finds a big river in the forest. He tries to drink water, but slips and falls into the river; the River was flowing very hard. There was no way Adam could escape, so he just gave up and accepted his fate of falling down the waterfall, which the river was connected to.

"If I fall down that waterfall, everything will be over. I don't need to suffer anymore."

While Adam was about to fall into the river, an old man used his comic powers to save Adam.

"Old man, why did you save me? I was about to end all my suffering by accepting my fate."

" Young man, I've been following you for a while. How can you expect me to just let you die?"

"Huh? What do you mean? Why would you follow a nobody and a useless person like me? It has been only 2 days since I came to this planet, and it doesn't make sense for you to be following me this whole time."

"Kid, you need to calm down. I noticed you the moment you landed on this planet, and the reason why I am following you is simple: I want you to be my disciple."

"Y-you want me to become your disciple?, If you have been following me for the past 2 days, don't you know that I can't use cosmic powers because my element is unknown? Why would you want me as your disciple?"

The old man started to use his cosmic power in a very masterful manner; it was a sight to behold.

"Young man, my cosmic power element is also unknown, but I can use the cosmic power very well, so why can't you do the same?"

"But how can that be possible? Your cosmic power is an unknown element, too? How are you able to use cosmic power then?"

"Hahahaa, I knew you would be excited the moment I showed you that unknown elemental cosmic power can be used too. But unfortunately, I can't show it to you anymore because you look like you don't want to be my disciple."

"Please let me be your disciple, Old man, I will do anything you want"

"Hahah, nice young man, what is your name? And do you not have any questions as to why I want to make you my disciple? Do you not think that I have any ulterior motives?"

"Ulterior motives? My life is already fu**ed, it's not like you are going to kill me or rob me, as I am broke and you have no reason to kill me. So I don't care what your motives are as long as I can learn how to use this power. And call me Adam"

" haaa! You are an interesting one. Once you have learned everything from me, I will tell you my story. Then you can decide what to do"
