CHAPTER-3 The wanderer Headquarters.

"whoa, so this is the wanderer Headquarters. Everyone looks so cool with all the gear they have equipped. What do you say, Adam-kun?" Asked Miles-San

"Yeah, it does look very cool. I wonder if we can use those cosmic powers that Captain Bolt was talking about."

"Yeah, I wish we could learn how to use those cosmic powers. If we could use cosmic power on Earth, maybe we could have saved Earth," said Lyra-san

With what Lyra-san said, the mood seemed to go down a bit.

" Well, it is what it is, it is still not too late, guys, we can maybe still learn how to use these powers and save prevent others from having to go through what we did" said Go-kun

The mood lit up, and everyone seemed excited.

"I will now take you guys to the Head Captain. He will answer your question, and he will guide you on what to do from now on. So please follow me," said Captain Bolt.

" Head Captain, may we please enter the room" 

Captain Bolt knocked on the door respectfully.

" Come in'

The head captain had blue skin colour with short black hair, scars over his eyebrows, and a short beard with vampire-like fangs.

" Greetings, Head Captain Takeshi Ryujin"

"Are these the guys you saved from planet 0856? It has an estimated population of 8Billion, and you were able to save only 5?" asked Takeshi Ryujin with a furious voice

After hearing the head captain speak like that to Captain Bolt, it sent shivers down everyone's bodies.

"Head Captain, please Calm Down. By the time we got an answer back from the HQ, it was already too late. I am still surprised at how there are still 5 people alive."

"Is it those damn bloodied civilisation again? Despite being only a tier 3 civilisation, they dare to go rogue and invade other planets to sell them on the black market."

"Yes, head captain, but what do we do with these survivors from Earth? They have nowhere to go."

" Do you guys have any idea how you're going to survive from now on?" asked the head captain with a serious tone

"We want to learn how to use this cosmic power and save people before they can go through what happened to us," said Lyra confidently

" Will you be able to risk your life to save others, and will you not step back when there is danger and save others? Can you do that?' 

The head captain started using his cosmic power to suppress all 5 survivors and asked them again

"Are you guys sure you want to do it, even if I said I will kill you if you learn how to use cosmic powers?"

"Yes, we want to save others from disgusting civilisation like the bloodened, even if you kill us all, we won't change our mind, you freaky old man", said Adam-Kun

The head captain grins and stops using the cosmic power to suppress them.

"Bolt, take them to the Wanderer Training Academy and enrol them there. If they can get into the Wanderer Training Academy, I will personally sponsor these guys into the academy until they graduate and become wanderers. and this should remain a secret, no one should know about this"

" Yes, head captain, I'll do as you ordered. Let's go outside, you guys"

"It felt like I would have died, what the hell is wrong with that old dude?" said Go-Kun

"Yeah, I would have become unconscious if I stayed under the cosmic pressure for even a second longer", said Riya-san

"Well, whatever, because of the risk we took, we now have a chance to become wanderers."

"Captain Bolt, how are we supposed to enter this Wanderer Training Academy?" asked Adam

" There is only 1 requirement if you want to be able to enter the Wanderer training academy: That is to be able to wield cosmic power. Every living organism has an innate inclination towards a specific type of cosmic power. You just need to find out which type of elemental inclination your cosmic power has"

" This really feels like a fantasy novel, right guys?  asked Miles-san excitedly

Everyone nods in agreement.

"So, when can we take the test to figure out what type of element our cosmic energy is, Captain Bolt?"

"We can go and take the test right now. Follow me"

Everyone got on a big flying train which was headed to the Wanderer Training Academy.

"This training academy seems bigger than the headquarters. Is there a reason for that, Captain Bolt?"

"Yes, this universe is very huge, so it is divided into 4 sections. There is a main headquarters in each section of the universe, and there are multiple more normal headquarters. All the wanderers in our section are trained here; some exchange students come from different sections sometimes." 

"So are you telling me that this Wanderer headquarters is not the main headquarters?" asked Lyra curiously and shocked.

" Yes, Lyra, this is the main branch that controls all the sub-branches of Wanderer Headquarters in our section of the universe, that is, section 4. There is the Masterquarters where the supreme wanderer controls all 4 main headquarters and manages the whole universe. Well, we are here. Are you guys ready to get tested?"

"Never been this ready in my whole life", Adam said

Everyone agreed in union

"First to be tested will be Tanaka Go"

As they call Tanaka Go's name, everyone is filled with excitement and nervousness.

"Fire, Tanaka Go's cosmic power element is fire. This is great for offensive wanderers. Congratulations, Tanaka Go."

"Thank you, Captain Bolt"

Everyone is called in order from here on

"Miles Carter, you have the lightning element cosmic power, great speed and power at the same time. Next is Lyra Mendez, your cosmic power element is rocky, a great defensive and offensive element. Next, Riya Patel, you have a water element cosmic power, great for supporting defence and healing."

"Next is Adam,".

" Captain Bolt, is something wrong? Why are you not answering?, What type of element is my cosmic power?" asked Adam excitedly.

" Haaa, I never expected to see someone with this element of cosmic power in my life. The last time someone with this elemental cosmic power appeared was about 300 years ago."

"That sounds like a very rare element, right, Captain? Why do you look like you are pitying me and disappointed?" asked Adam

"The element you got is unknown. People with this elemental cosmic power can not infuse their cosmic power into the weapons or technology that is supposed to be used, and they can't use the training techniques properly. With this elemental power, we cannot let you join the training academy.

"h-h-how can this be, Captain Bolt, after everything I've been through, after surviving those Bloodned civilisations,  losing my family and so much, how can i not join the training academy with my friends, the captain said if i cant make it to the academy i am on my own, how am i supposed to survive in this new world without anyones help?"Adam is clearly overwhelmed, desperate at this point.

" Your friends who are waiting for you in the enrollment centre will be told that you do not have cosmic power and were put in a refugee camp made for survivors, and will not be entering the academy. Please don't make it harder than it already is, Adam-kun"

"Guards, see this guy to the outside, and give him a thousand universal credits. Adam-kun, from this point on, you should forget your friends and somehow live on the streets. The thousand credits I gave you are what I am personally giving you from my salary. I hope you can make a living in this new world."

"Thank you for this small help, Captain Bolt. I will never forget this help, I will be sure to repay you in the future if there is a chance."

Overwhelmed and depressed by the fact that Adam can't use cosmic power properly because his element is unknown, Adam walks away from the Wanderer Training Centre slowly as he questions himself on what is the purpose of his living, now that he can't use any cosmic powers, and he is alone in this new world where no one can help him.
