CHAPTER-6 Cosmic Beasts

" Now that I can use cosmic power, it should be an easy task to hunt for food in this restricted zone of the forest. But I am curious why this forest is restricted."

A sudden rustle in the bushes made Adam freeze and look behind. There was nothing. Adam kept moving forward, looking for food. Out of nowhere, an animal that was looking like a rabbit, Blue in colour, with vampire-like fangs, and it was unbelievably fast, 

"Why is this rabbit so fast? I am not able to catch up with it at all. Didn't Goro-sensei say that, when I am using the Spiritual Cosmic Power, I will be at least 3 times faster than an average person using normal Elemental cosmic power?"

The rabbit leaps onto Adam, and Adam tries to use his cosmic power to get away, but He slips and falls. The Rabbit Lands on Adam and bites him, and Adam is electrocuted. Adam loses his consciousness.

"Ugh, that damn rabbit was it using cosmic power, too? I still don't get why I couldn't catch the rabbit. On top of that, it used some type of attack, when it bit me, I was instantly electrocuted and lost my consciousness. Looks like I need to go back and ask Sensei what is going on."

Adam gives up on hunting for now, collects random fruits and returns to Goro-Sensei

" Looks like you had a lot of fun in the forest trying to catch food, huh, Adam?"

"Do I look like I had fun in the forest, sensei? How is that rabbit faster than me, and it is using some type of attack to electrocute me?"

"Haaa!, Adam-Kun, if you are having trouble with the lowest class of the cosmic beast, you still have a long way to go."

"Lowest class? Cosmic Beast? What are those? I didn't hear about them before."

"I tried to warn you, but you ran off without listening to my explanation. Cosmic Beasts are ranked differently based on how dangerous a cosmic beast is. They are divided into 5 ranks: Rank 1 being the weakest and Rank 5 being the strongest cosmic beast."

"Sensei, then the rabbit I tried to capture, what rank is that cosmic beast? How strong is the rank 5 cosmic beast?"

"The rabbit you tried to capture just now was not even a rank 1 cosmic beast. It hasn't fully evolved into a rank-one beast yet. That is why it had to bite you to electrocute you. In this state, it will be considered a normal rabbit. Only once it fully evolves into a rank 1, it is considered a cosmic beast."

"Sensei, how are Cosmic beasts born? "

"That is a question we don't have an answer to yet. Some are naturally born to other cosmic beasts, while others can absorb the cosmic power directly and increase their class depending on how much cosmic power they are absorbing"

Goro-Sensei teaches Adam-Kun more about the cosmic beasts and how they are ranked.

"By the way, Adam-Kun, can you stay standing even after you stop using your cosmic power?"

"Why do you ask that, sensei? I can stand very well, see, there is no prob-"

Adam falls down as soon as he stops using cosmic power and starts to groan in pain.

"Argh, Sensei, why are my legs and head hurting so much?"

"It is probably because your legs are broken, Adam-Kun. It must have been too much pressure for your unfit, frail body to use cosmic power. The spiritual cosmic power is definitely way stronger than normal elemental cosmic power; it's just that your body is not in a condition to use it. And you need to learn the proper application of spiritual cosmic power. I sent you into the forest now, just to test how far I can go with my training and what needs to be trained."

Goro-Sensei Masterfully Uses his Cosmic power to heal Adam-Kun's Wounds and his broken legs using cosmic Spiritual power.

"I didn't know that Spiritual cosmic power could be used to heal Sensei."

"Spiritual power is the purest form of cosmic power, so of course, its effects are going to be more effective than water elemental cosmic power, which is generally used for healing. It can only be more effective than the water cosmic power. It won't save you from life-threatening wounds. You have to take proper medicine"

"So when are you going to start my training, Goro-sensei?"

"I healed your legs and wounds; you should be perfectly normal. We will be starting you straining right now, Adam-Kun. The first thing you need to do is train your physical body without using any cosmic power. If your physical body is not able to handle the cosmic power, it will break you instead of helping you. In the morning, you will be running to the city and back to the forest within 2 hours."

"But, sensei, the city is 20 Miles away from here. Do you seriously want me to run that far? And this is supposed to be my morning training?"

Goro-Sensei Transforms His spiritual cosmic power into the fire element and starts beating Adam for not listening to him.

"S-Sorry, Sensei, I will do it. Don't hit me, argh"

"You better listen to me or else I'll whip your ass. After your morning training, you will go to hunt for food again, and you will not use cosmic powers. If a beast is on you, you have to run away without using your cosmic powers. After that, you will take a rest till the evening. After taking a rest, you will be practising sword skills and physical combat skills till late at night, and you will be practising all these skills under the pressure of my Cosmic power, which will make your body even stronger. When I feel that you are ready, I will let you use your cosmic powers. Until then, I will seal them."

As the Goro sensei Explains His training Plan to Adam, Time quickly passes, and it is night. Goro Sensei tells Adam that from tomorrow, He will be following this schedule until Goro Sensei is satisfied with him.
