CHAPTER-7 Cosmic Tempering Art

It has been two years since Adam began training his physical body, without utilising any of his Cosmic Power.

" Adam-Kun, looks like your body is strong enough to endure the pressure of your cosmic power. With the training you had undergone for the past 2 years, your body is so strong that you can beat a cosmic beast of Rank 1 without any difficulty."

"It's hard to believe what you say, sensei. I am not able to notice much difference in my power."

"Of course, you won't notice it. Do you remember how long it took you to run back and forth from the forest to the city? It took you 3 hours to run 20 miles back then. Today, you ran that distance in 30 minutes. Do you see what I am trying to say, Adam-Kun?"

"Now that you mention it, you are right, sensei. Back then, I was barely able to cover 20 miles in 3 hours. Now I don't even break a sweat after running 20miles in 30 minutes. But it's still hard to believe I can run 20miles in 30 minutes without using any cosmic power. How is this possible, even if I trained for 2 years?"

"The secret to this lies in our late-night training, where you were practising Sword skills, Manipulation art and physical enhancement art under my cosmic pressure. Your body unconsciously Absorbed The cosmic power Around You during the training while naturally healing your muscles, which were constantly put under pressure from the morning and afternoon training."   

"Are you saying that the reason my body is so strong right now is because my muscles naturally absorbed cosmic power and made my body even stronger?"

"Yes, Adam-Kun, this body-enhancing Art is called "Cosmic Tempering Art". This Art lets your muscles absorb Cosmic Power while enduring strain. The stronger and purer the cosmic power is, the higher the strain on your body will be, and the results of the Cosmic Tempering Art will be proportional to the risks. Right now, you have successfully mastered the first stage of the Cosmic Tempering Art. There is a Total of five levels to this art. When you master the fifth level, you can run 20 miles in 1 minute without using any cosmic Power."

"Sensei, where am I supposed to absorb the Cosmic Power from?"

" Typically, there are two ways to absorb the cosmic power. There are places in the cosmos that naturally have an abundance of pure cosmic power, and the second way is cruel, but you can absorb the cosmic power from cosmic beasts. When you kill the cosmic beasts, there is a cosmic core in their body that can be consumed by us to absorb the cosmic power within that core. The higher the rank of the cosmic beast, the more you can absorb."

"Goro-Sensei, does that mean I can now go and kill that rabbit that I couldn't catch 2 years ago, and consume its core to improve my Cosmic Tempering Art?"

" Yes, Adam-Kun, although it's not a rabbit anymore, it's called a Lightning Rabbit. It has evolved into a Rank 3 beast in the past 2 years. It is still too early for you to fight a Lightning rabbit at rank 3. Although it shouldn't be a problem once you start training your cosmic power. From today, you will stop running from the forest to the city and totally concentrate on your cosmic power application in your sword skills, manipulation art, and cosmic tempe- Co-cough-cough."

"Sensei, are you alright? You are coughing Blood, you look like your health has been getting worse since you started training me. Is everything alright, sensei?"

" I am fine, it's just that I haven't used my powers in a long time, so it's taking a Toll on my body. I should get used to it in no time; forget about me. Once you master level 1 in Star Severer Sword Art and The Spiritual Dominion Manipulation art, you can fight a rank 3 with your eyes closed and even fight some rank 4 cosmic Beasts."

"The star severer Sword art has 5 levels, and after mastering the 5th level, it is said that you can sever stars into two. The spiritual Dominion Manipulation technique is very unique to People who can use spiritual cosmic powers. People generally use the 6 chakra points in their body to manipulate Cosmic Power. But for us, it's different; we have to use the seventh Chakra point to manipulate the cosmic power, which takes a lot of toll on the seventh Chakra point. To prevent that from happening, you have to train your seventh chakra point by constantly using your cosmic spiritual power almost as naturally as breathing. The longer you can hold on, the more powerful your manipulation Art will be."

Adam is excited to learn all these new Arts, as he was only training in the basic skills till now.
Adam was concerned for his sensei as his health doesn't look good, but he trusts Goro-sensei's decision and doesn't pursue the matter further, and starts his training in the Arts.
