Unreliable cavalry

As chaos was unfolding inside Inferno's den, Okisato waited outside with his WWCF card opened up. "Looks like Iori-chan's being accosted by small-fry. It works out though. I should have had her change out of her uniform, but they'd find out she's a student at the same school as me in no time."

"Mmph mmph," a cute female voice giggled.

Okisato slowly turned and was confronted with a bald and browless girl with spray-tanned skin clad in a white sleeveless bra top, red capri track pants, and white sneakers. The woman had large beautiful purple eyes, but her most noteworthy trait was the fact that her mouth was sealed behind a layer of skin.

This was Ingalili Mawr, one of the many victims of Stanislava. While she had some talent and a rating of 1434, her future prospects were ruined after an encounter with Stanislava left her not just hairless, but mouthless as well. Worse, Stanislava had also tacked on conditions that she spend her life failing at whatever she tried to do.

This was the true sadistic nature of Stanislava. She didn't care much for killing, but relished in watching young talent get snuffed out and unable to recover, eventually dying in disgrace. The only hope was her condition that her victims would be able to regain control of their lives the day she died, but with her having the power of immortality, it meant the only way for her to die was either her committing suicide, or killing her in a DESPER match.

Stanislava was well aware this condition would paint a massive target on her back, but she was confident in one thing; her evasive maneuvers. This wasn't just in life, but chess as well. When cornered, this woman would push as hard as she could for a draw, and miraculously managed to get them. Of course, as Okisato stated, nearly all her opponents were lower-rated than her.

"So you're here. That means the officials must be nearby," Okisato nodded.

And sure enough, two more women approached him. One was a fair-skinned woman with a white bob and light pink eyes clad in a sleeveless orange bra top, black slip-on sneakers, and a black sporty dress with white lines running down each side. The other woman had dark pink eyes, sun-tanned skin, and multicolored blueish hair tied up in a ponytail. She wore glasses, a coral bra top, a turquoise dress, white sneakers, and a black leather jacket, which she rested on her shoulders like a mantle.

"So are we going to have a successful outing this go around?" the bespectacled woman asked in English with a thick British accent.

"Depends. If you could get me inside, my chances would be higher," Okisato replied in English.

"Out of my power. I'm only a secretary."

This was Danica Axon, a WWCF official with a rating of 1210. She was a 19-year old intern in training with British and Slovene heritage. She had grown up in England, but fled after the Fairies took it over, hoping to seek refuge in Slovenia. However, Slovenia's new Desperado ruler forbid it, leading to her becoming a woman without a nation. With some basic secretary and chess skills, she applied for a job at WWCF HQ.

The woman accompanying her was Polina Bocchi, an Italian WWCF ambassador with a rating of 2203. She could be considered the backup for the mission, if it weren't for her character trait of preferring not to get tangled up in trouble.

"Ishikiridokoro's the one you sent in... Ugh, if this mission fails, I'll have to shave my head in repentance again," Polina trembled.

"You looked good bald," Okisato shrugged.

"I don't count the words of a bald fetishist. Ugh, Danica's too weak, you're banned, Ishikiridokoro's... Ishikiridokoro."

"Have you even met her?"

"Hearing about her is all I need to know she's trouble. Ugh, I don't wanna be bald, and I don't wanna go in. What am I gonna do?"
