Chapter 3:

In Search of Opportunities

Revenge in another world

Piko, a small magical creature that appeared from the shadows of the city and approached me while I slept, watched me with bright and curious eyes. Unknowingly, I had found my first ally in the form of an unexpected companion, someone who would accompany me in the adventures and battles that lay ahead.
With the determination of a warrior and the pain of my past as fuel, I closed my eyes, letting the night envelop me, ready to take the first step towards the vengeance that would define my new life.
The sun was just rising over the horizon, bathing the city with a warm and calm light. However, inside the guild, the atmosphere was anything but calm. I stood in front of a veteran instructor, a burly man with worn armor and a serious gaze.
"Your registration is complete," the instructor said. "Now, if you want to survive in this place... you need to learn to use your body and mind. Low-level missions won't be easy, and enemies won't wait for your sympathy."
I nodded, feeling my heart pounding strongly. Every word from the man awakened a mix of emotion and hunger for power within me. It wasn't just survival: it was the opportunity for revenge.
Aria watched from the side, crossing her arms with a slight smile. "Don't overexert yourself at first," she warned. "But don't hold back too much... you need to learn quickly if you want to accompany me in the future."
I closed my eyes for a moment, remembering the scene of my death and Kiseki's. That memory burned like fire within me. When I opened my eyes, there was a cold and calculating determination in my gaze.
"I won't fail," I murmured.
The training began, I practiced hand-to-hand combat with swords and daggers, quick and precise movements, learning to combine strength and agility. Then, we continued with basic magic, moving elemental energy with intense concentration.
To the instructor's surprise, I learned with unusual speed, correcting my own mistakes and optimizing every movement. In just a few hours, my skills surpassed those of many adventurers who had been training at the guild for years.
Aria watched with growing amazement. "I've never seen someone adapt so quickly," she murmured, her eyes shining with admiration and something deeper, a feeling she didn't fully understand herself.
That night, I stayed at the guild, reviewing what I had learned. Piko, the small magical creature that had followed me to the building, played around me, emitting a faint glow that illuminated the room. I smiled slightly, recognizing in that being an unexpected ally, another piece on the board of my vengeance.
As the city slept, I felt something within me beginning to awaken: an overwhelming force, a mix of anger, pain, and determination that promised that no one would ever see me powerless again.
"This world belongs to me," I thought, clenching my fists. "And whoever destroyed my past... will pay for it, no matter how much time or how many obstacles are in my way."
The first step towards my new life had already been taken, and I was already leaving my mark on that world of magic, danger, and infinite opportunities.
