Chapter 6:

A Worthy Training

Revenge in another world

The sun was just beginning to rise over the village, illuminating the rooftops and the streets still quiet after the monster attack. I woke up early, feeling the magical energy flowing within me, more intense than the day before.
"Today I'll teach you to better control your magic and combined strength," Aria said as we walked towards a clearing outside the village. The place was surrounded by tall trees and a small river that reflected the sunlight, a perfect setting for advanced training.
I observed the surroundings. My mind calculated, analyzed, and evaluated every detail: the position of the trees, the flow of the water, the direction of the wind.
"If I'm going to be stronger, I need to use everything to my advantage," I murmured.
Aria began to demonstrate her advanced combat movements: dodges, combined attacks, and the integration of elemental magic with physical movements. I tried to imitate her, absorbing every gesture, every breath, every tactic. However, I soon realized something: I wasn't just learning, but adapting and improving each technique in real-time.
"Kaoru... how is this possible? Not even the guild veterans learn like this!" Aria exclaimed, surprised.
I didn't respond, focused. I felt my overwhelming power starting to awaken, mixing contained anger with a natural control of magic. Every blow and spell I performed seemed to multiply with effectiveness, knocking down trees, raising dust, and creating energy waves that made Aria take a few steps back.
"Be careful! You don't fully control this power yet!" Aria shouted, although she couldn't hide her admiration and a hint of fear.
I took a deep breath and continued. Every movement was loaded with precision, strength, and an intimidating aura that made even the vegetation bow under the energy emanating from me.
At the end of the morning, I stopped, observing the destroyed clearing and the magnitude of my own power. Aria approached, with a furrowed brow but a contained smile.
"Kaoru... what's happening to you isn't normal. If you keep this up... you're going to be someone everyone respects... and fears."
I lowered my gaze, remembering the image of the dark man who destroyed my life. My heart filled with determination.
"That's exactly what I need... to be able to avenge myself and protect those who matter to me."
Piko floated beside me, emitting a joyful glow, as if celebrating the first real step towards my transformation.
As we returned to the village, I realized something important: the fantasy world wasn't just a place to survive, but a board on which I could become an unstoppable force. And that force, one day, would be directed towards the dark man.
The advanced training had awakened a hidden potential, one that even I feared... but thanks to it, I'll be able to fulfill my vengeance.
