I walked through the village streets alongside Aria, absorbing everything I could about life in this world. My fame after defeating the market monster was beginning to spread; some inhabitants looked at me with respect, others with caution and fear. As we advanced, we met two girls who, for some strange reason, caught my attention.
The first, Lysbeth, a light paladin, wore white and gold armor, with an impeccable posture and a gaze that conveyed absolute security. Her presence commanded respect. The second, Nara, a reformed young succubus, with dark hair and a mischievous gaze, watched us from a corner, playing with a small sphere of energy that floated around her. There was a mysterious aura surrounding her, and I felt a mix of curiosity and caution.
"Who are they?" I asked Aria. Aria smiled with a certain complicity. "Lysbeth and Nara are very powerful adventurers. If you want to survive and grow, you should get to know them... although be careful, both have very particular personalities."
Before I could respond, a cry of alert resonated in the air. A horde of monsters emerged from a nearby alley, larger and more dangerous than anything I had faced until now. Their size and ferocity made even experienced adventurers recoil for a moment.
"Kaoru, quick!" Aria shouted, preparing to fight. I took a deep breath, remembering the pain of my past life, the desire for vengeance, and my newly discovered strength. Without hesitation, I launched into combat.
This time I wasn't alone: Lysbeth illuminated the field with her light magic, Nara attacked with agility and magical tricks, and Aria protected our rear while I moved with deadly precision. In minutes, the horde was defeated, leaving everyone impressed by the group's strength and coordination.
Some villagers approached to congratulate us, but they couldn't help looking at me with reverent fear; my power was overwhelming. As we all caught our breath, Lysbeth approached me with a slight smile.
"You're... different. Your strength is not normal. But I see determination in you. Maybe we can learn something from each other."
Nara, on the other hand, leaned in playfully towards me. "Hmm... interesting. It seems you're not a common human... and I like that," she said with a mischievous wink.
Observing my new companions, I felt something strange: a spark of different emotion arose within me. But my mind quickly returned to the main objective: avenging myself against the dark man.
As the sun began to set on the horizon, Aria, Lysbeth, Nara, and I stood watching the village. We knew that the attacks would be more frequent, and that my newly discovered strength would be put to the test again and again.
Piko, floating beside me, emitted a warm glow, reminding me that I wasn't alone in this fight, and that together we could face any challenge this world presented.
I clenched my fists and looked at the sky: "Whatever comes... I'll be ready. And no one will ever take away what I love again."
