Meeting with the spirits

In the large hall filled with rows of spirits, a  yellow spirit which seemed like a light ball, in short the yellow light ball, began its speech. It was floating on the right hand side of the large spirit floating above the chair.

Yellow light ball said

“Currently you will be not be able to view our true forms due to your weakness. When you have gathered sufficient merits to overcome your weakness, only then will you be able to view us and the majestic form of our supreme ruler.

We are the beings responsible for governing the life and death of all creation. This is our supreme ruler, Lord Destroyer. Normally, Lord Destroyer can extend the lifespan of any creation when the specified conditions are satisfied and he can even end any world within a moment. That is, he is able to destroy any preconceived notion, one could have regarding the creation and destruction of life. Even the concept of time holds no ground in front of his supreme power, he can alter the set past, present and future of any world. But, he can also easily create and destroy worlds on a whim which he rarely does unless necessary. We are his loyal subordinates responsible for following his guidance to work in our allotted fields. I am responsible for all the new recruits and I am called as the Supervisor.

Now, Hitomi Hope Daiho, after observing your daily habits and behaviour, we have seen your potential to work for the suffering masses. Your job is to visit every region and find the anomalies responsible for shortening their lives. That is, find all the unexpected dangers which are stealing their life force so that they are able to live their true expected life and continue paying their playing their roles without any hindrance.

Since you spent the whole day exploring the region, you must have realised your current situation. Here, even if your survival is guaranteed, there is no way back to your current world without our authorisation.

After completion of your task, you will be rewarded with a healthy body, long life without any hardships so that your quest for knowledge can be accomplished without fail. As your current body is unable to live for a long time, so, hypothetically, even if you do return, your body will only lasts for almost a year. We will not allow such waste. Therefore, your refusal is not allowed. Additionally, one of your wishes will also be fulfilled, after completion.

When you have solved all the unexpected dangers, then the purplish liquid of this world of this world will be cleansed and it will start glowing just like our abode.

This is the Lotus crest, engraved on your right hand. When any unexpected danger troubling the society is solved, one of its petal will start glowing momentarily. When you have solved all the unexpected dangers, then all the petals will light up, that is, the whole emblem will start glowing. The glowing crest is also a sign for you to be able to return home, you will be allowed to return home after making necessary alterations in your body which you have undergone in this world of spiritual magic and then, you will be immediately transported to the time of absence in your world.

The regions of your travel will begin from the easiest ones and continue being sequentially upgraded to a higher level on each successful case until you reach the final regioin which will be extremely hard. You have to identify the unexpected dangers within the set time frame. In case of failure to do so, you will punished to stay in that region for a period of 10 years by suffering from all their misfortunes. Your punishment will not be lifted, even if you find the clue to avert their danger after the time limit has expired. So, be sure to complete it in time, do not delay your work. Before, beginning your search, be mindful to observe, listen to your surroundings and put proper thought before acting, so that you are able to distinguish between various essences, substances influencing the daily life of the masses. If you cause any unnecessary damage, then your world will be the one to suffer. Your actions will determine the fate of your world, unless, you want your world to be destroyed, be diligent in your assigned duty.”

With no room for negotiation, the yellow light ball, that is, Mr. Supervisor decided everything for the protagonist, Hitomi. After explaining a bit more of her task, Mr. Supervisor assigned her a room for rest of the night.

Upon reaching her room, while observing how the light of the whole mansion had dimmed at night making it bearable to admire its majestic beauty, Hitomi fell in a deep thought.

“What a hard life, to search for dangers which are unexpected and if I do any unwarranted damage to those worlds, then it will lead to harm or even annihilation of my world and I have to complete everything within the set time frame otherwise I will have to suffer from their misfortunes for 10 years. It’s no joke to suffer from misfortunes for so long. Ah….ah… what should I do?….”
