BORED BLUE

Vivian shook hands with the silver-headed guy. He was about the same age as they. 

"Miss Vivian, you and your companions don't look like any tribesmen." He looked at everyone with a bored expression.

"U-um, hi..." Ren waved at him.
He waved back at him.

"Nor do you..." Vivian smiled.
His expression changed to slightly surprised. He took a step back from them and tilted his head slowly. "Are you people from Star Awesome?"

They all looked at each other, while Vivian took a step back. "Yes."

A loud crackling sound echoed, and the sky shattered. There was a rumbling, and the sand began sinking in. Suddenly, the sand separated, dropping them all into a complete void. 

Ren screamed, flailing his arms around. The others seemed rather composed. Jacksaw turned to face the silver-head; a sigil appeared in front of his left arm. And a similar sigil opened in front of the new guy, blasting at him.

"IS HE OUR ENEMY?" Ren yelled as Ayu took hold of his hand.

"You remember when Amanda told the royals that the demon prince is involved in this war?" She looked at the silver-headed guy. The sigil blast didn't even leave a scratch.

"H-how do you—?" 

"Because they especially mentioned a completely white person." Vivian pointed at the cloaked guy.

"Oh, so you guys aren't as dumb as I had heard," he smiled with a bored expression. "Yes, I am the demon prince, Podestray."

Yuzuru's eyes shone, and a fire blast went around Podestray. 
Podestray sighed, and in a snap, the fire went away.

"Damn it..."
Podestray appeared behind Yuzuru and kicked him.

Pixels surrounded Podestray, trapping him inside a large tube. "That's your power?" He looked at Ayu, and the tube cracked open. Podestray's hand shone as he directed it towards her.

Ayu shrieked, her hands pixelated, forming a shield in front of her. Suddenly, the void began shaking as large stones fell on them from the unseen sky.

A pixelated shield surrounded Ren and Ayu. Yuzuru and Jacksaw charged towards Podestray. But in a snap, the two were thrown away.

"He is freaking strong." Ren gasped when his eyes met Podestray's.

Podestray sighed and looked up. "Hallucination, huh?..."

Before he could continue, two sigils opened on either side of him with chains emerging out of them. The chains bind his arms. 

Yuzuru's eyes shone. Tiny snowflakes fell all around as Podsetray's body began freezing. "Take that, Mr. Prince!" Yuzuru laughed.

Podestray sighed, and with a pull, the chains snapped. He took a step forward with crackling sounds from his frozen legs. "That's it?" 

"Tsk..."

From the bottom of the void, enormous tentacles rose, wagging around. 
"T-t-t-thats—" Ren pulled Ayu closer.

Podestray looked at the tentacles with a bored look and glanced at Vivian. He took another step. The tentacles wrapped around his waist, preventing him from walking. Despite the effort, he kept walking while more tentacles wrapped around him.

He bent down to Vivian and took her hand. The void began shattering, revealing the starry sky. And in a blink, they stood in the same place where they had met Podestray. Even the tentacles around him were gone.

Vivian pulled her hand away. "How did you know it was me?"

"It was simple; those three showed their powers." He pointed at Yuzuru, Ayu, and Jacksaw. "While that one was too scared, and you were too quiet despite your earlier boldness."

Podestray walked away from her and raised his hands slowly. The ground began shaking; Yuzuru's eyes shone but suddenly became normal. "I can't use my power..."

"Miss Vivian, your hallucinations are impressive but won't be too effective on a demon, let alone the demon prince."

Jacksaw raised his arm; the sigil formed and dissolved. "M-me neither?" He looked at his palms.

Ayu waved her arms and shrugged. "I guess we die here?" 

The sand became hot, and holes formed all around with empty voids. Abruptly, the stars in the sky began nearing them, and magma erupted out of those holes. Loud blasting sounds echoed as they were struck by a sandstorm.

"Fine, I get it; your hallucinations have more feel to them," Vivian yelled. And in a blink, they stood where they were. 

"Now all of you can use your powers again, but as you must have observed." He glared at them and closed his eyes. When he opened them again, the surreal blue was replaced with bright red. "Your powers are worthless against me, so quit fighting."

"You know, we think you are right." Yuzuru flailed his arms around.
"I agree; I liked you from the beginning..." Vivian twirled her hair.

"We should be friends." Jacksaw winked.

"I-I wasn't even fighting, because I was on your side...hehe..." Ren scratched his head.

"Yeahhh, you know you should date Prince Carlos..." Ayu clapped her hands. While the other four glared at her.

"C-Carlos?" Podestray tilted his head and smiled with twinkling eyes. But then he frowned boredly. "I will vanish you all back to Star Awesome, safe and sound... But why were the demons attacking you guys?"

"How long will we fight these things?" Nive applied mud to his arm

"It's night now." Cero sat down next to him. "I am glad Nive's a good witch; she is helping me take care of Umano."

"Shameless, go help her." Nive glared at him.

Cero's ears twitched and flickered. "Something is coming."
He pointed at a distance, which had darkened.

Nami's breath hitched, and she glanced at the approaching darkness.

"Demons are coming," Nami yelled out to everyone. 

"Damn it, more allies for them." Sen scoffed.

One of Patricka's snakes hissed in her ear. She turned to look at the approaching darkness. "Demons?" She jumped to Slime's side and whispered something to him.

At a distance, the darkness transformed into enormous beasts. The beasts leaped over towards them at immense speed.

"You guys are the worst!" Patricka yelled. 

"Huh? It's you who is the worst!" Damian barked. Lightning flashed at the demons.

The demons dispersed, avoiding the lightning, and attacked the zombies, ripping them apart. Screeches of laughter filled the air. Patricka's monsters charged at the demons. The demon began tearing them apart, too.

Strands from the slime elongated as he transformed into a large beast similar to the demons. He leaped onto the demons. Puppet Girl flew and took over a demon attacking the others. 

Philomena flew to Sen. "Why are they fighting the demons?"
"No clue." Sen stared in bafflement and charged onto the demons.

The demons noticed Star Awesome and attacked them. Patricka looked at Umano in bewilderment, who shrugged at her. 

Nive raised her staff. "I am still fighting you." Umano glanced at her, and with a smile, she opened another scar in the sky, letting out more spirits. The spirits huddled around Nive, and she began blasting them with her staff.

"For a Star Awesome member, you are pretty strong." Umano let out a laugh. "But as a witch, you are quite a weakling." 

Nive glared at Umano, and a portal opened behind the former. Umano gasped, "You can make portals?"

"No, I can." A pair of hands emerged out of the portal holding a necklace with a large crystal. And threw the necklace around her neck. 

Umano looked at the necklace. Hiroto walked out of the portal and grabbed Umano with a smile and pushed her into the portal. "We'll deal with you later." He looked at the scars in the sky and opened a portal between the entrance on the scars.

"You can touch her?" Nive flew to Hiroto. 
"No, I used the crystal, which makes spirits physical; you don't know about that?" Hiroto smiled.
"No." 

A portal opened in front of Hiroto, and he pulled out a similar necklace. He handed the necklace to Nive. "There you go."

Nive took the necklace. "Are you sent to help us?" 
"No, no," he smiled, looking at the demons. "We won against the Kemetian tribe, so we are here to end the war."

The ground trembled as the sand grains began shifting, molding a cleave. The cleave extended below the entire battlefield, forming an enormous star.
