A brand new world

And so it all began, my new life. God’s last words before teleporting me was “I will be with you, always remember that”.

A blue light appeared and suddenly, there I was in a field of grass. “I truly am in another world” I said to myself.

Then suddenly I heard a confused voice asking “Who are you?” coming from behind me.

It was a girl my age who seemed like she was from a richer family. She was dressed in beautiful white silked clothing like that of a noble. She had ginger hair and looked kind.

She walked closer to me and said “Sorry for not introducing myself before asking your name! My name is Julia, what's yours?”

I answered with a loud voice and said “my name is Matthew and I have no clue where I am!”, she started to laugh.

“I haven’t seen anyone here in ages, and the one who just suddenly appears in the middle of our fields is one strange person haha” said Julia.

I was a little embarrassed.

Julia asked if I wanted to join her at her home since there is apparently nothing else here. I humbly accept, I answered. And we were off.

“I was wondering” I asked Julia, “why is there no one else here but you here on this large vast beautiful land?”. She answered in a way I never would have expected.

Julia answered saying “No one wants to live here due to what is up on the big mountain over there” and pointed on the large and extremely tall mountain right behind us, “there lives a servant to the grand evil that plagues this world, the strongest of the 5 dark knights, a phoenix who is called Sol.”

I was speechless. I didn’t know what to say. Julia continued "Every now and then, Sol descends from that mountain and destroys everything for no apparent reason at all, at times Sol goes to the Mainland and destroys everything in its path. Now only me and my father live here due to the danger.

Well that's enough of that, come on lets go Matthew! Nobody said a word till we arrived.

I could barely even open my mouth, I was afraid! Then I felt a warmth coming from somewhere and remembered what God had told me ”I will always be with you”. That calmed me.

Before I knew it we had arrived at a small mansion, with a little garden and a large bubble surrounding it. “It is beautiful isn’t it” Julia said. I was in awe of its beauty. But one thing which saddened me was the bubble. I didn’t even need to ask what the strange bubble was for, I already knew it was to protect against Sol, in other words a shield.

Just before we entered the mansion, I saw another figure in one of the windows for just a moment and before I knew it, a man with a sword drawn came rushing through the door demanding to know “WHO ARE YOU, INDENTIFY YOUR SELF”.

But before anything escalated Julia stepped in and said, enough Dad. This man is lost. But Julia's father wasn’t so sure, he said “How are you so sure this isn’t a spy of him! He is dressed in very strange clothing, in a land where one of the five dark knights lives and is just suddenly lost here! ” .

I had to step in and said “ I honestly don’t know why I am here either, but God decided that I was to be teleported here to help with something about an evil

laying in wait for the good”. At that moment both Julia and her father stopped and stared at me in shock.

I was confused. Did I say something wrong? Then Julia said “let’s go inside, quickly”. I was completely lost about what I had said wrong and then Julia asked me “Where are you from Matthew? Where is your home?”. I answered without thinking “well I live currently in France, and I was born in Canada”.

“I don’t believe it” said Julia's father “The prophecy God gave about a soldier of his who he would use to help us has come true!”. All I could say was “What?”
