Chapter 4:

Time for Action

Parakozumu: Transported To Another World In Onesies!

Enji laughed as he soared through the sky above the forest. Playing and dancing in the area above the trees. The others were watching from the ground, partially amused at their brothers delight.

‘’Well, looks like he’s got the hang of it.’’ Hanzo said.

‘’Yeah.’’ Ren replied. ‘’You wouldn’t think by watching him that he crashed four times.’’

‘’It would’ve been more.’’ Sora interjected. ‘’Had you not intervened with that insight about control over lift-off, he may well have turned this forest into a crater.’’

‘’A tempting thought, but I’m more interested in finding the way back. Which reminds me.’’

Ren looked up at Enji, cupping his hands around his mouth.

‘’Hey Enji! Which way do we go to get out of here?!’’

Enji played in the air, the sheer joy of flying and desire to soar for the rest of the day was overwhelming, but, he still had to help his siblings escape the forest. Gazing down at his siblings, he looked around the area to find the fasted path out, looking around, he spotted an open field not far from where they were.

‘’Hey!’’ Ren gestured frantically. ‘’We need to go that way.’’ He pointed.

Ren and Sora looked up at their brother in confusion, being unable to hear him, they just looked at each other.

‘’Do you know what he’s saying?’’ Sora asked.

‘’No clue.’’ Ren replied

‘’He’s saying we need to go that way.’’ Hanzo pointed.

Ren looked at his brother bewildered.

‘’You really understood that flailing around up there?’’

‘’Yeah, I could hear him fine.’’

‘’Hmm. Tigers senses of hearing are quite refined.’’ Sora remarked. ‘’By that direction, it seems we are heading North Northwest.’’

‘’When in doubt. Always go North’’ Hanzo chuckled. He was about to shout up to Enji to come back down so they’re not separated, but just before he could, he saw Enji gesture frantically, almost in a panic.

‘’Hold on.’’ Hanzo pressed. ‘’Now he’s saying he sees something. It looks like a traveling cart. He says there’s people being attacked, something about giant lizards… Wait! Don’t try to…’’

Enji disappeared, his outline in the sky vanished, leaving little doubt on where he was going. Hanzo looked at them, then all three of them took off in the direction he flew, Sora flying just over the trees to see where to go and direct her brothers on the ground. If they knew Enji as well as they thought, he was about to do something very dangerous and would need their help.

Enji soared as fast as he could, the second he saw the cart, heard the screams for help, he didn’t hesitate. As he got closer, he could more easily see the real scale of the situation and it wasn’t good. At least seven giant lizards were on the offensive, whether they had more hiding nearby, Enji couldn’t tell. Not that it would stop him from rushing to help, if there was one thing he couldn’t stand, it was attacking those smaller and weaker than him.

He spotted one lizardman slowly approach a man shielding a small child, he was screaming at the monster, trying to intimidate it, but it looked only amused. Enji felt his blood boil, kicking up speed and aiming straight for the smug reptile.

BOOM

Enji rammed into it, his speed and enhanced power on full display as he crashed full force into the monster. The lizard never even saw him coming. Flying into the distance and crashing into the ground, leaving a crater. Enji only looked at the two people, both in shock at what had just happened. Enji roared at them both to hide away, frightening the child, but the man seemed to get the message, swiftly picking up the child and ducking behind a nearby boulder. Enji looked around, the lizardmen and the humans were looking at him now, both sides wondering who he was and whose side he was on. Enji picked up a piece of the cart, ripped off earlier likely during the attack. He chuckled in his plan to use the tool and give his answer . He aimed his wooden piece at the nearest lizard and threw it as hard as he could. The piece found it’s mark and the lizard fell to the ground.

Five of them were left and Enji had all their attention now. Emboldened by his victories, Enji smirked.

‘’Bring it on!’’ Enji shouted.

Another lizard rushed him, it’s claws extended to maximum length, Enji was able to swiftly evade the creature, making sure to lure it away from any of the people another one jumped him from behind, this time he had to jump to dodge it. Landing with force, he began landing blows on the creature. Though his strength was enhanced, he was facing a creature that was not human, it did not fall like his surprised brethren, they began to see Enji as a threat and coordinated with one another. Whenever Enji would knock one back, another would step in to let the other recover.

Enji began to grow weary, he was able to surprise the first two, but as a pack, they were slowly wearing him down. They circled him again, looking to rush him all at once like wolves wearing down larger prey. One shifted to pounce, but before it could, a big boulder like object came flying towards it slamming into its back and sending it straight to the floor.

‘’Bullseye!’’ Hanzo cried from a distance

The distraction was all it took. Enji used his flight to launch a distracted lizard with a devastating jump punch. Enraged, the closest rushed him when he landed, only to be met with a rush of white, Ren closed any distance with his enemy, landing devastating combos and ensuring the lizard could not recover enough to attack. Where Enji used his abilities and surprise to win against them, Ren used his experience as a boxer and skill from countless fights in his past. But instead of bullies or training partners, these were durable, bloodthirsty, and experienced in murder. Every attack with its talons was intended to be lethal.

While they were occupied, the third lizard slowly crept around them, trying to find an opening. It’s eyes suddenly darted, spotting one smaller than the other strange creatures attacking them, sensing easy prey, it abandoned looking for an opening with the stronger two, at least it would have some meat tonight. Reaching the smaller creature, it lunged with its open maw, only for the smaller one to retreat into itself. Confused and irritated at the lack of prey in its jaws, it inched closer at the item now laying on the floor.

As it looked to pry it open and get it’s meal, it sensed something behind it, extending it’s claws, it turned to meet it and was met with a massive wall of wrath and fur. The blow that followed sent the foolish lizard flying beyond the horizon, farther than any that Ren or Enji launched prior. Reaching down, Hanzo tapped the object twice, the signal of success reaching Sora, she levitated to eye level, her head emerging with a smug expression on her face.

‘’Our plan of attack was a success. Not bad considering we had only minutes.’’ Sora remarked.

‘’Still not a fan of throwing you like a ball though.’’ Hanzo complained.

‘’It was a calculated risk. Besides, we had a signal in case something went wrong.’’

Hanzo scoffed. Not satisfied with her argument. He looked to his brothers and his eyes widened.

‘’Come on!’’ Hanzo shouted.

Sora was confused, but followed, as she moved, she could see what was so urgent. Their brothers were in trouble.
