Misserable perfection.

“So.. you have a lot of experience with ties, what kind of clothing do you think will look good with my tie?” asked Aku.

“Maybe a suit? something formal will look good on you” Yui stared at the ground.

“Any ideas?” Aku liked to think of herself in formal clothes.

“Maybe a white shirt… and a tight skirt…. maybe the shoes can match your tie.. or your eyes..” Yui tried to remember what models wear in ads.

“I like the way it sounds like” they passed by a shop she likes “this shop has nice stuff.”

The clothing store was not that different from the accessories store. Colorful bright clothings again.

“When did you go to the mall last time? everything overwhelms you.” Aku felt like Yui was really uncomfortable.

“Didn’t you said before you want me to stop being a boring jerk?” Yui tried to sound as confident as possible.

“You act weird today, is something wrong?” Aku started to worry.

“That girl… we both saw her in our dream, she was the same one for sure. Is she really a goddess?” Yui stopped in place.

“What did she tell you?” Aku stopped in place too.

“She said to me I can’t ever escape you and that I’m more than a human for her, am I a god? are you a god? I’m going crazy.” Yui looked too calm for what he just said.

“When I think about it, you also said something about the albino man right? I wonder how you thought killing people would make you feel good.” Aku hoped what she said didn’t hurt Yui.

“It’s related to my deepest desire, the thing you call a goal” Yui said.

“How come?” Aku really wanted to know Yui’s goal even before the first time they met.

“I want to be perfect.”

Aku dropped the plastic bag and the ties fell on the floor, somehow they got tangled together.

“That's evil!” Aku was upset “they blessed me to be perfect in order to make you miserable. If this is why I’m perfect I don’t want this bless anymore!”

“It got a nice turn” said Nana.

Natsuki and Nana watched Aku and Yui, they was hiding in the clothing shop.

“Should we tell him already?” asked Natsuki.

“It’s just got interesting, I want to see where it goes.” Nana mistook a pair of underwear for a hat and put it on her head.

Aku screamed loudly.

“Wait!” shouted Yui was trying unsuccessfully to catch her hand before she became too far.

She ran as far as she could without using her superhuman speed. She started crying, her tears made it hard to breathe, just the same, the same as ten years ago.

Yui took the tangled ties and started running toward Aku, Yui was not the best runner but somehow his legs didn’t got tired, they went upstairs and downstairs and then upstairs again.

Aku tried to keep Yui far from her but he kept chasing her. What an idiot, he does exactly what the gods said, he will suffer this way. Aku ran fast but Yui ran faster, eventually he reached her. He jumped on her and made a “cage” out of his body.

Aku kept crying and screamed “the gods didn’t got me out of the birdcage, they just leaded me in!!”

Everyone looked at the two kids fighting each other, Aku didn’t even tried to push Yui off her because she knew she will use the ability the gods gave her.

“Wow, it’s like watching a movie, a good one.” said Nana who hid together with Natsuki between the pieceful customers going shopping in the mall.

“You see that man?” Natsuki pointed on a person who got closer and closer to Yui and Aku “that man is going to do something so look at him.”

“I hate when you spoil me” said Nana, she held a bowl full of popcorn.

“It’s my job as the former future god.” Natsuki said.

The man now was really close to Yui. He reached his pocket and took out a card with a picture of his face “Yui Takashima, you are arrested for being a suspect on a murder before three years ago.”

The policeman in disguise handcuffed Yui and took him away, meanwhile Yui whispered to Aku three words:

“Tell the others”

Aku wiped the tears from the face and exited the mall, if I make Yui miserable the little thing I can do is to help him when he needs me. She ran home, this time she actually used her full power and in three second she was there. The four who stayed in the house was about to go out somewhere.

“Don’t exist this building, it’s not safe outside.” Aku breathed heavily.

“Is everything fine?” Nakata asked calmly.

“The police got Takashima, it’s just a matter of time until your face will appear in the news.”
