I get put in a class full of weirdos!

After walking around, I met up with Aoi Hanata again. How did I manage to catch up to her after going the complete opposite way?
On the way to class, she explained how a school works. That way, I will no longer be confused about what's happening here. All of this somehow happened before the bell rang and we reached the classroom.

"I can't believe you've never even heard of a school." Hanata giggles while looking me up and down. 
"We don't have any schools where I'm from, Aoi Hanata." I nod, still thinking about all the information she's given me. I'm sure I'll forget things at some point, despite my good memory, but at least I'll be able to understand the basic things.

"You can just call me Hana..." she mumbles as we reach the classroom.
In the classroom are twenty seats, eighteen of which are already filled with a variety of students. In front of the class is a woman, who Aoi Hanata told me was named Teacher. 
An odd name for sure. I have never heard of anyone called Teacher, though maybe it is a common name in this new world.

"Why don't you introduce yourself or something..." Sighed Teacher with an uninterested voice.
I stand in front of the class, where Ms Teacher stood previously, and inhale deeply. She moves to her desk and sits down behind it, not paying attention to what's going on.

"I am Griffin A- I mean, Griffin Atori! General of the first Griffin Squad!" I look around in the class, to every student. 
"Mark my words, students! I will become the most popular person in this school!"
Half out of breath, I nod and smile at the class. I am met with a lot of confused faces and some laughter.

"Great, you're crazy too..." Ms Teacher says with a disappointed tone in her voice. "You'll fit in nicely with the others." She reaches inside of a drawer and grabs a small book, which she holds out to me.
"Your legal guardian, Mr Karatori, requested me to hand you a notebook. Not sure why he couldn't have done that himself, but here you go." She reluctantly hands it over.

Now that I have a notebook, it would be the best time to use this. I need to gain information about everyone if I want to be the most popular.
"Insight!" I think as I walk to an open seat next to Aoi Hanata.
The stats for all the students pop up next to their heads, along with their names.

When I sit down, I start writing down everything I saw.
In the first seat was a blonde boy named Kasuka Kaguya. He was the one laughing the hardest before. His light blue eyes seem to be almost sparkling. I'd be impressed if it wasn't for that condescending expression, combined with his pathetic stats.

The second seat, the one next to him, was taken by Mae Samitsu. She was one of the few that didn't laugh. In fact, she didn't even react. She just stared stone-faced through her glasses.

Though her Magic stats seem to be decent, from my previous experiences in this world, I concluded that magic doesn't really exist here. The magic stats seem to be more akin to intelligence in this new world. I have yet to test this out properly. I should try to do this at some point.

Next to Mae Sumitsu is a boy, even bigger than the burly guy from before. Kentaro Yokotsu. He has a long black braided ponytail hanging over his shoulder. He seems to have a perpetually stern expression on his face, along with a big scar. I wonder how he got that.

The last of the first row is Roku Fukitsa. Her red eyes and sinister smile are a little intimidating.

I recognize her as one of the students with the burly guy who battled me before. Coincidentally, he's sitting behind her. Toru Hatsusho. His small purple eyes and freckles made me recognize him instantly. That along with the scarred lip and popping vein on his forehead when he saw I walked in.

Next to him is the glasses girl. Aoi Hanata. The one I'm sitting next to. Her hair is a combination of dark blue and blonde, and she has very dark circles under her eyes. I wonder what's made her so tired.

Next to me is a girl with vibrant purple hair. Her eyes were an equally vibrant purple and yellow, a weird combination I have never seen before, even in my own world. She also had a bandaid on her nose, which makes me think she must be injured, though her hp stat doesn't indicate that. Why was she wearing it? A fashion statement? Odd, to say the least.
She was also the only one not wearing a uniform. She's in a dark blue tracksuit. Recently used, judging by the smell.

Next is-
I get interrupted by Aoi Hanata before I can write down more. This is probably for the best, however. Writing them all down at once like this might be too much for someone reading this. Whoever that might be.

I look up and see that Teacher has indeed started talking. It would probably be good to take in the information, the thing I came here for.

"Thank you, Aoi Hanata.," I whisper back and nod.
"What? I said you can call me Hana..." She mumbles, looking at me weirdly.

"You mean they speak more than one language in this new world?!"
About the history of this world,
"Now, this might interest me..."
About mathematics,
"That's basically the foundation of my world!"
And about science.
"I have nothing in particular to say about this one!"
Eventually, the bell rang, which Aoi Ha- I mean Hana told me means that it is lunchtime.

I enter the cafeteria and see a bunch of students walking around and eating. My first objective will be to choose the most appropriate person to talk to. It would probably be more tactical to go after one of the strongest first. The rest will naturally follow shortly after.
The physically strongest students in my class are Toru Hatsusho and Kentaro Yokotsu. While the mentally strongest are Mae Samitsu and someone I hadn't written down yet. Mako Kakure.

His blue-grey hair covered most of what I could see of his face, but through it, I could barely see a glimpse of his almost cosmic purple eyes. He was staring off out the window, seemingly not paying attention to anything around him. His stats were surprisingly impressive.

New Side Quest: Choose a friend.

I scour the cafeteria in the hopes of spotting them. Before I can do so, however, I hear someone shout my name from behind.

"Griffin Atori! You made quite the entrance~" 
I turn around and see a face that I vaguely remember.
"Kasuka Kagayaku. I know, I must've made a deep impression on you when you first laid your eyes on me. So much so that it has left you speechless. That is only natural, of course~" As he talks, he gestures his hands in unnecessarily flamboyant ways.

"Who are you?" I open my notebook and look for his name.
"Ah, Kasuka Kaguya. Your stats were so low, I must've forgotten about you." I mumble.
For a moment, I see the light fade from his eyes, but he quickly gathers himself again.

"That is fine! You must have something wrong with your eyes! There's no way you would have missed me otherwise! My appearance is simply dazzling!" The tone in his voice shifted to a tad bit crazy, as he continued talking with his left hand in front of his face, for some reason.
"Regarding your statement back in class. though I must command your ambition, the role of most popular could only go to someone like me, only I can shine brighter than everyone else!" He proceeds to laugh maniacally as his sparkles turned into a purple gloom.

"Chomp." 

Suddenly his laughing is interrupted by a loud "Eek!" as a small girl has bitten down on his right hand. She has sharp teeth, big round eyes and hair flowing like scarlet waves. Gabu Gabuya.

Kasuka slowly lifts his arm, with Gabu still attached to it. 
"Gabuya! We talked about this! It is not okay to be down on my hand! Hands like these should be preserved! I don't want you to eat them, stop it! why are you doing this?!" He yelps while wildly flailing the arm with the girl attached to it.
Eventually, she lets go and lands gracefully on the ground. She wipes some drool from her face and stares blankly at Kasuka Kagayaku.

"You're tasty, gabu." She says in a weird and monotone voice. 
Kasuka is now holding a defensive position, trying to back away from Gabu Gabuya. She turns around and looks at me with the same blank expression.

"I wonder how you taste, gabu..." She says, slightly tilting her head to the side, like a curious dog.
It seems like Gabu Gabuya is about to attack. Now that I know some of the rules of this world, I won't lose! Her defence stats are low, so I shouldn't have any trouble.

I jump back and assume a fighting pose.
"Listen here Gabu Gabuya! To be the most popular, I cannot lose this fight! Give it everything you've got!" I yell out to her.

She starts charging at me on all fours, her mouth wide open and a hungry look in her eyes. Drool is dripping from her mouth and flying back behind her on Kasuka's legs.
Though I may have lost my last battle in my old world. Though I may have lost my first battle in this new world. To be the most popular, I can't lose again! I will win this battle and prove my strength! I will keep winning battles to redeem myself!
As Gabuya jumps at me, I ready myself for a counterattack.
Bring it on Gabu Gabuya!
