Chapter 46:
Rockstar Isekai: fighting against Silence
Beatrice was smiling up to her ears. She tried to hold back her excitement, but she couldn’t resist.
“You guys are amazing! I’ve been your fan ever since I saw you at the concert! I wrote letters to all of my friends to tell them how cool you are! I love your music, it gives me strength! I listen to Broken Bones everyday and I love Natsuo’s guitar solo in Burning!” She screamed. “I love you so much!”
Natsuo smirked. “We’re honoured to have such a pretty girl as a fan.”
Beatrice brought her hands before her mouth, freaking out.
“Natsuo thinks I’m pretty! My goodness, now I can die happy!” she said.
Lady Elizabeth held back a laugh.
“Excuse her excitement, she really likes Rockstar Isekai, and she’s a little obsessed with Natsuo” she explained.
Beatrice blushed and looked away, playing with her ponytails.
“Oh, right! Can I have all of your autographs?” she asked.
“Of course” Natsuo replied.
Beatrice hopped happily and took her diary. She went to Olive first.
“Here! I love your voice, you’re the best! The way you sing conveys a lot of strength, you’re very cool. And, said between us…” She lowered her voice. “I love your outfit. You’re a hot girl, I admire you!”
Olive glanced at her, flattered by her words. She felt a bit guilty for having it in for her just because she liked Natsuo. She was actually a very sweet and supportive girl.
Olive smiled and signed her diary. “Thank you. You’re also very pretty!”
Beatrice glanced at her, a bit moved.
“Thank you, I love you so much!”
Beatrice handed her diary to Gregory next.
“I know it’s strange, but I love your physique. You’re like… So huge and masculine! That fishnet top is so attractive!” Beatrice blushed, embarrassed. “Oh dear, I don’t even know what I’m babbling about, I’m sorry…”
Gregory laughed amused.
“You can touch my pectorals, if you want” he said.
“What?” Beatrice and Elizabeth glanced at him, shocked.
Beatrice turned to the princess, as if she was asking for permission. Lady Elizabeth sighed and nodded. The blonde girl smiled, happy like a child.
“If you don’t bother, I would like to…” she mumbled.
Gregory grinned. “Make yourself at home.”
He unbuttoned his shirt in front of her. Beatrice screamed and her face turned completely red.
“I don’t know if I’m strong enough” she said.
Lady Elizabeth was looking curiously.
“Is it a problem if I give it a try, too?” she asked.
“Lady Elizabeth, you’re even worse than me!” exclaimed Beatrice.
The princess looked away. “I like muscular guys with broad shoulders” she replied.
Gregory hugged the both of them and placed their faces in his chest.
“How is it?” he asked.
Tristan turned pale. “Gregory, she’s the princess…” He sighed. “We’re dead.”
As Gregory let go of them, Beatrice and Elizabeth screamed excitedly.
“I’ll never get married, but I don’t regret it” commented the princess.
Beatrice was just making strange noises, unable to finish a sentence with a meaning.
Gregory burst out laughing.
Beatrice approached Tristan. She looked at him timidly and started playing with her hair, nervous.
“Er… Here you can sign my diary” she said.
She observed him as he wrote his name on the page elegantly. He was very beautiful.
“Tristan, I love you!” she exclaimed.
Tristan glanced at her, startled. He didn’t know what to say.
“Oh… Thank you. You… You’re cute” he replied clumsily.
Beatrice blushed and looked away. Tristan was too handsome to see up close.
Finally, she approached Natsuo.
“Natsuo, you’re my favourite. You don’t know how much I love you, like… More than anything else, you’re my everything. The way you play the guitar resounds in my soul and you never miss to amaze the crowd. I would like to be cool like you… And also to be with you, actually” she said.
Natsuo smiled. “I’m happy to hear that. Look forward to our future activities, you won’t be disappointed. What’s your favourite song?”
“Oh, I think Cold heart, heavy soul, but I have to say that even Crushed by insecurity is beautiful: it portrays really well the difficulties of life and every time I listen to it I feel like a pang in my heart. And, of course, my favourite guitar solo is the one in Burning.”
“Good choices. I like that guitar solo, too.”
Natsuo signed her diary and she took it back. She added the date on the page happily.
Natsuo observed her hands while she was holding the pen: they were tapered and delicate, very pretty.
He took her hand and glanced at it. Beatrice blushed, not knowing what was happening.
“You have beautiful hands” he said.
“Strange way to propose, but yes, I would like to marry you” Beatrice replied.
Natsuo burst out laughing.
“Sorry, they just caught my attention” he said and let go of her hand.
Beatrice stared at it as if it was a treasure.
“I won’t wash my hands ever again” she said, in a dead serious tone.
Princess Elizabeth laughed.
“There’s also another thing I would like to ask you, Natsuo” she said.
“What is it?”
“Beatrice is a good archer, if you need someone to help you in the mission, she’s the right person” she said.
Beatrice’s eyes widened.
“Lady Elizabeth, are you sure? I’m your bodyguard, I can’t leave you like this!”
The princess smiled. “You did a lot for me, Beatrice. I just want you to be happy. And who said you’ll never come back? This is just a mission!”
Beatrice smiled and hugged Elizabeth.
“Thank you, Lady Elizabeth, you’re the best!”
“Don’t touch too many pectorals while I’m not with you!” Elizabeth joked.
“No, don’t worry!”
The two girls laughed together, then turned to Natsuo, waiting for his answer.
Natsuo reflected on the offer. If she was the princess’ bodyguard, she must have been strong and he was also curious about something, so there was no reason to refuse.
“I accept. She can come with us” he replied.
