Meeting with the royal family

The crowd started singing together the song Somebody who saves me, which was the sweetest song in the album. Olive wrote the lyrics thinking about how Natsuo came into her life and completely changed it, saving her from the monotony of her previous lifestyle. Natsuo composed the music thinking about all the people that helped him during his time in Roselond, especially Rockstar Isekai’s members.

Hearing all the people singing their song was incredible. Natsuo was really moved. He glanced at the fans singing with a smile depicted on their faces. If they sang it so heartfeltly, it meant that the song reached their souls and that they resonated with it. It was the most beautiful feeling he ever felt.

Olive was looking at the crowd with teary eyes. She couldn’t believe that so many people liked their songs. She was moved by the fact that their efforts could bring happiness to others.

Gregory was smiling, he was also moved. He wasn’t very good at playing the drums, he still had to improve, but seeing that all those people were happy to listen to their songs made him more determined. None of them glared at him because of his past, but they were cheering for what he was now. He thought he could never get rid of the past, but he was wrong: now he could put it all behind him and go on, stronger than before.

Tears started rolling on Tristan’s cheeks. He was speechless. He wasn’t used to receiving all that love, but it felt good. Natsuo was right: fans loved him for what he was. They didn’t judge him, they liked him and wanted to support him. He felt warm inside, as if those voices were hugging him and reassuring him that he was fine like he was.

When the song ended, the crowd applauded and cheered for the group.

“Thank you, we love you too!” replied Natsuo.

“You were amazing!” exclaimed Olive.

After they spent some time with the fans, the guardian of the castle got out in the courtyard and invited them to enter.

They greeted the crowd of people and followed the guardian inside. The Royal Palace was much more luxurious than the Blue Castle.

The guardian escorted the group to a room and let them enter.

Inside there was a big table in the center and three people were sat: Queen Mary IV, Princess Elizabeth III and King Henry II.

As soon as Rockstar Isekai stepped in, they smiled.

“Welcome to the Royal Palace, Rockstar Isekai. It’s an honour!” the king greeted them.

“The honour is ours, your majesty” Natsuo replied.

The four of them bowed to the royal family and took their places around the table.

“We know about the good deeds you’ve done for our reign and we’ll never be grateful enough. Roselond has been fighting against Silence for decades and finally a saviour has come. Himura Natsuo, you have all of our gratitude” said the king.

“It’s my duty as the owner of this power” replied Natsuo.

“We’re lucky that this miraculous power is in the hands of a kind person like you.” King Henry smiled. “Having said that, we have to ask you something important.”

Natsuo nodded.

“As the saviour of the region of Blossomhyl and the Duchy of Blueweald, we officially entrust this mission to you: freeing the Duchy of Floridburg and the Duchy of Eldertoun from Silence with your rock music. You will receive a generous reward from the Royal Palace and your name will be remembered as one of a hero.”

Natsuo smirked. “Of course, it was already on my bucket list for this year. There’s just one thing I would like to object to.”

The king invited him silently to speak up about it.

“Rockstar Isekai will be the name that will be remembered. I never would have made it alone, to complete the mission I need my bandmates” Natsuo said.

The others glanced at him, smiling.

The king nodded. “Of course, in union there is strength, after all.”

King Henry briefly explained to him the plan of the mission, but he said that the details will be provided by the Anti-Silence Unit.

After some time, the meeting came to an end. The royal family gifted them a family heirloom as a symbol of gratitude and they were dismissed.

When they were in the corridor, they heard some footsteps approach them. Natsuo turned to his back and recognized Princess Elizabeth coming in their direction.

“I’m sorry to bother you any more, but there’s a favour I would like to ask you” she said politely.

“Feel free to ask” replied Natsuo.

“There’s a person who would like to meet you, would you mind following me?” she asked.

Natsuo smiled. “We would be very pleased.”

Princess Elizabeth guided them through the corridors and stopped in front of a door.

“She can be very noisy, I suggest getting ready” she said.

She opened the door and welcomed the group in her bedroom. The first thing Natsuo noticed was the poster of their album hanging on the wall.

Sat on the bed there was the same girl with blonde hair from before. Now that he observed her better, her low ponytails were very long and her face was really pretty. She had her earphones on, meaning that she was listening to Broken Bones.

When she heard the door click, she turned her head happily.

“Lady Elizabeth, I have to tell you every—” She stared blankly at the group in front of them. “What? Is this a surprise for me?” She screamed.

Elizabeth nodded. “Yes, what do you think?”

The blonde girl jumped from the bed in joy.

“You’re the best, Lady Elizabeth!”

She turned to the band, barely containing the excitement.

“Hello, I’m Beatrice! I’m Natsuo’s number one fan and leader of the royal palace fan club. You guys are amazing, a lot of people here love you!” she said.

Olive glanced at her, a bit annoyed.
