The near end

Well, I didn’t want to travel the world over some flower that is rare, but I can get good money. But what is more confusing is that both flowers are from totally different location and part of the world. So I wonder how it got here instead. I also wanted to ask him about the knives, but he wouldn’t know anything about it, well I think he doesn’t.

I am trying to see if I can evolve my magic once more to level 5. I also found a bit more of information on the knives after a few days. It has been confirmed that there has been random knives around the area. It has to be an enemy, or either someone really careless. I also found a rock that looked different from the others. It looks like a combination of marble and granite, which is a literally different stone from the ones nearby. There might be some underground that looks like that but when I asked the blacksmith, he never seen that stone before, and that is speaking from the whole world. So things are coming from a different planet? “hah” I laughed to myself. If there is an enemy like that I would have already lost.

I decided to try to find more methods to evolve my magic, but this town mostly have blacksmiths and herbal stores. There is one magic store, but it is mostly more non-evolving things. At this part of time, I decided to find something, at least a weapon. I am thinking to get a short sword or a sword in general, or maybe something that can shoot, like a gun, but it is very expensive, and each magazine of bullet cost as much as a liver.

I decided to just ask the blacksmith if he has any blade that would suit me and doesn’t take much space. He said, he would make a made-to-order, something my magic could use. Metal claws. It did seem like it was worth the shot, my strength isn’t the best. He just requested for 5 Loct and some metal. I instantly started to search for metal around the town. I found a little cave and decided to enter the cave to search for metal. I could use my magic to break the metal and bring him chunks of metal ores.

I went down into the caves and it went down for quite a bit. I was surprised a cave like this existed without it being explored or at least discovered. I then found some metal, it was a shiny type of metal. He did say to bring a special type of metal that would co-exist with your magic and stick with it.

I used the shadow magic to punch and break the ores into smaller pieces so its easier to carry. When the shadow punched the ore, my right arm almost broke, well I think it almost did. The ore was super strong, I tried mining it with a pickaxe I found nearby and it was still hard to break it. I was too lazy to go to the blacksmith and come back so I decided to find another way to break the ore.

I tried to use shadow magic to break it again, it did crack a bit. I can see shiny metal. It isn’t the normal type of shiny like the metal on a newly waxed metal cup, it was more of a rainbow type of shine. I tried to break it into even smaller chunks. I tried punching with the magic but I stopped right before it hit the ore. It felt like my energy was being absorbed every time I punched the metal, since I for some reason just have no more energy to waste.

I decided to bring back the little ore I got from the cave and give it to the blacksmith. The blacksmith said “I can only make at least 1 claw for 1 arm with this,” I didn’t want to go back so I just decided to say its fine, 1 claw is good enough.

After 3 days, I return back to the shop and he gave me the claw, I gave him the 5 Loct in return for the price of the forging. I left the shop and went into the forest to search for some wild creatures I can find to test the claws on. I found a creature, wasn’t sure what it was, I sent out my magic arm equipped with the claw. It greatly increased the strength of that 1 shadow arm. It tore straight into the flesh and into the muscle of the creature.

The creature was dead almost instantly, I took the creature, cut up into smaller pieces. I took it to the butcher of the town and sold it to him. The butcher said it was a Earth bore, a strong bore with the power to hide themselves within among the stone and ground. I was able to detect them with the shadow arm magic anyway. I got 20 Loct from that since it was a good portion and a fresh one, since I just killed it.
