Chapter 2:

Chapter 2 : The tall boy

Godless Moon

As the two boys walked, the rain slowly died down. It was a rather sunny day hidden by the clouds.

As the two boys were on their way to school, another one joined, this time a taller male. Dark skinned, but smooth and fair. He was muscular, but not the bodybuilding type. His eyes were a dark shade of brown, similar to his skin, but it complimented it. He wore the same kind of clothes that Edward and Jonathan was wearing, but wore a headband that was white and blue even though it didn't match.

He came between the two of them and put his arms around them.

“Hey, you got my money, punk?”

He smirked, staring straight at Jonathan.

The three of them walked, silence filling the air. It was quite awkward, for a whole minute, no words were exchanged. They continued walking, going past street after street. The taller boy slowly increased the pressure on Jonathan, squeezing and gripping him much more tightly.

Sighing in defeat, Jonathan reached into his bag and grabbed 10 Brix. A small coin, with some sort of crest on one side and a head of some important figure in the other. On the sides of the coin, "10 Brix" was repeated over and over.

“Here, just take it dumbass” he said as he handed it over to the taller boy

The taller male, grabbed with one hand, stashed it into his own bag, and with a big smile whispered into Jonathan’s ear,

“Good boyyy” he snickere-

WHACK!

"AGHH!"

All of a sudden, the taller boy fell to his knees, coughing and in pain he let out a shout.

Jonathan punched the taller boy in the side.

“WHY DID YOU DO THAT?” he yelled, coughing, his tone obviously angry

“YOU DESERVED IT DUMBASS” yelled Jonathan, laughing as he ran off.

Edward looked back for a second, smiling just a little bit,

“See you later Marcus”

Then ran off, trying to catch up with Jonathan.

A good 30 or 40 seconds had passed. Jonathan and Edward were still visible, but still quite far. Marcus, standing up slowly, patted the dirt and dust off of himself and fixed his coat.

He took one deep breath.

Huff…

He then bent down, hands on the floor, butt up.

He was in a runners stance.

Suddenly, he exploded. He covered the distance that they built up in just a few seconds. He ran, and was floating. It didn’t seem like gravity affected him. He was just gliding, he was so fast a small gust of wind followed behind him. As he slowly caught up to them, he shouted

“YOU AREN’T GETTING AWAY WITH THIS, JONATHAN!”

Edward and Jonathan had both heard this and started running faster, slowly but surely getting tired, especially Jonathan. Though the three of them looked like madmen, and though it may seem like they were being bullied, they were all laughing, smiling ear to ear.

Little did they know, this would be one of the last times they would have a moment like this together.
