Chapter 0:
Tokusatsu Otaku Dragon Sword Waifu
Outside of Osaka, 1313 AD, towards the end of the Kamakura Period.
“You won’t win, Sazaki. The light will always eradicate the darkness - and this land shall never again be poisoned with your corrupting forces - either in the physical or magical forms.”
Hazaki bellowed as he hovered before his vast and organized army clad in shining, white with red accents, tight and lightweight samurai armor - yet none of them were wielding a katana. Instead, Hazaki’s army all held rather tall, thick bladed, ornately and uniquely curved swords that along with a two-handed grip, their identical swords had a small, curved outward blade just above the grip that faced the wielder, before the same side of that blade curved outwards slightly, and then inwards, with a final, long, shallow curve continuing towards the end of the point, forming the back half of the sword. The other side of the blade - the slashing side - almost mirrored and complimented its rear side, though the blade part closest to the grip on this side was larger. However impressive they may’ve been - these thick-bladed, unique swords were like the armor of the samurai wielding them: normal and manmade. Yet, when the battle was over - this reality would be far different!
“You truly think you can actually win, don’t you? Look around you, Hazuki - behold the purple corrosive and corrupting ooze that has taken over this land. Most of the population has succumbed to its evil power - my evil power, and you still stand before me with a mob of zealots and fools! If this is where you’d like to die, then let me take a more appropriate form to oblige your funeral with a shamisen and a wind flute!”
Sazaki replied with a sinister grin in his dragon form. The battlefield that they occupied was one a village full of minka houses, yet now it was only flattened ruins with a blighted ground, all if it covered in splatters of thick purple ooze of a mostly vibrant, somewhat dark shade - but with lighter shades as well! Slight lyses of steam emanated from the odious ooze as Sazaki’s army stood before him: glowing purple humanoid creatures with razor sharp fingers and naturally-lightweight armored torsos that were a slightly darker shade of purple.
Hazaki and Sazaki were identical to each other, simply being palette-swaps of each other as dragons: Hazaki was white with red eyes, a mostly classical Japanese dragon, colors neatly and hovering, with a smaller, razor sharp toothed mouth within his main, razor sharp toothed mouth, with both mouths gaging pointed ends and a set of small but imposing tusks at the very back of his main mouth. He had a small, perfectly carved oval ruby in his forehead, which was also complimented by his red eyes! Sazaki was the exact same, same for being purple with black eyes and a smoothly carved, black stone in the center of his head.
“Your arrogance and your disregard for the sacredness of death shall indeed be your downfall, Sazaki! And I - shall bring forth your downfall with the light of righteous judgement!”
Hazaki reported fiercely, before looking down at his glowing, purple, humanoid minions, and then around at the ooze-coated, ruined and abandoned village. Sazaki merely stared back at Hazaki, before looking down at his glowing purple humanoid horde.
“ENOUGH! LET THEM BE CORRUPTED AND CONSUMED!”
Sazaki yelled as his forces charged forward with a combination of growls, roars, and other fierce noises - while Hazaki’s forces held their ground in a fearless, organized manner. Once Sazaki’s forces came into striking range - Hazaki’s forces replied in kind with a three-part defensive strike that consisted of a downward slash which turned into an upward slash, and finally ended in a powerful piercing thrust!
Yet, it was all in vain - for as one rank fell, corrupted by the ooze and turned into Sazaki’s mindless, glowing purple, humanoid horde - the next rank of Hazaki’s forces repeated this defensive attack pattern, until only Hazaki and one other defender remained. Her name was Sayako - and she was the Dragon Fury, the chosen warrior of Hazaki who would be the last line of defense for humanity! She stood there at the ready with her sword - one which was identical to those that the now fallen and ooze-consumed and transformed samurai had wielded - yet Sayako’s sword had glowing white textual figures of an ancient regional language that predated Japanese.
Sayako herself was also armored, yet not in traditional samurai armor - but armor that was magical, and which could only be manifested by those with a magical colored crystal, in her case white, which was safely tucked away and imbued with the power of Hazaki himself as the White Dragon! Sayako’s armor was skin tight, lightweight, thin, and white, with compact red armored shoulder pads that jutted out diagonally upwards, and a total head and face covering helmet that had a magical red glass visor that was triangle shaped and pointed down.
“Hazaki! We have to use the ultimate attack - the one where - “
Sayako announced confidently as she made a fist gesture downward, as if cheering and nodding to Hazaki, before he cut her off.
“Are you sure? You know that you’ll only survive as an essence if we choose to do so!”
Hazaki replied sternly.
“Yes! For the sake of humanity - that’s the price that a Dragon Fury must be prepared to pay!”
Sayako responded instantly with just as much vigor as before.
“Very well - then we shall unleash the ultimate attack: White Dragon Light of Retribution!”
Hazaki said as Sayako let go of her sword - as it began to glow white and hover on its own in the air, pointed at Sazaki and the champion in front of him, Yumeko. As Sayako stepped back, she began to sing the enchanted song as part of the ultimate attack!
“Shining light comes over me - I feel so weightless and so free, so soft and warm in this melody….”
Sayako sang softly as Yumeko merely laughed! Yumeko, the Unending Plague, had almost identical armor to Sayako, save for it being a shining purple with black accents, as well as a shining black chest and shoulder armor piece that was pointed outwards over her shoulders with a glowing purine aura. Her pale skin, long, purine tongue, black eyes, and long, luscious purple hair were a striking contrast to the white and red-accented hair that Sayako had nearly tucked and concealed within her full head and face helmet!
“You really think a lullaby is going to work!? What are you going to do - put Sazaki and I to sleep!? How’s about you get oozed instead!? After all - you’d look great in purple!”
Yumeko taunted as their forces remained in place - the combined arrogance of she and Sazaki would spell their doom - for now!
“……it’s with this song that I feel so strong, and that I shall overcome all evil!”
Sayako finished as she then turned into pure white light and instantly infused herself into the glowing textual characters on the thick blade of her floating, glowing sword, as Hazaki glared at Sazaki and Yumeko.
“May you be forced to rest for eternity for your crimes!”
Hazaki announced as the sword flew straight at Yumeko and Sazaki with a white light aura flash around it as their glowing purple ooze humanoid forces around them were vaporized as the sword passed straight through on its single targeted arc!
“Oh no - Saz-“
That was all Yumeko could say before the blade struck her abdomen, just beneath her enchanted chest and shoulder armor, as the sword continued with her impaled on it right into Sazaki! Yumeko burst into a purple fascia’s essence that travelled into Sazaki’s forehead jewel!
“NOOOOOOOO!”
Sazaki bellowed before his could form was turned into a perfectly circular, coiled dragon form that was raised as is carved out amethyst in great detail, with this smooth and circular, carved crystal form of his pressed into the ground! The carving of him within the circular base could be seen staring upwards, looking more like an elaborate commissioned art piece than a magical prison, with the black jewel in his forehead glowing, holding Yumeko’s essence.
The Dragon Sword had returned as an essence to Hazaki’s forehead jewel, containing within it the power and essence of Sayako! As Hazaki looked around in his wingless dragon form, he closed his eyes, charging his power, before emanating a blast of white light from his whole being, instantly cleansing and terraforming the land into a luscious meadow, with a tall pagoda shrine on top of the carved amethyst jewel-prison that held Sazaki and Yumeko, a warning etched into the cherry wood Torii gate before it, which in Japanese read:
“Whoever shall so disrupt this shrine either through callousness or foolishness - shall be the one to bring forth humanity’s extinction.”
With that, Hazaki flew back to at light speed to Kyoto, where hidden in the mists on the outskirts, was his magical castle compound that could only be seen or sensed by those he allowed to. What he didn’t know, was that nine-hundred-twelve years later in 2025, the very warning that he placed upon the shrine - would be indeed, callously and foolishly ignored.
