A cataclysmic war once took place in what is now Japan: between the magically-powered and magically-armored forces of good under the wingless-dragon, Hazaki, Paragon of Light, and the identically formed but ideologically opposite forces of evil under Hazaki’s greatest foe: Sazaki, Paragon of Corruption.

The war was fought to a stalemate - with Hazaki’s champion having wielded the Dragon Sword - a magically-infused blade that was able to defeat Sazaki, and Sazaki’s champion wielding the Armor of Avarice, a chest, shoulder, and upper back plate capable of withstanding attacks from the Dragon Blade!

Yet - until one side has fallen - this magical war is destined to continue!

Now, in 2025, High School Senior Ririka Tokugawa and four of her new friends have been chosen to be Hazaki’s champions: warriors bestowed with magical henshin transformations to turn them into the Dragon Furies - tokusatsu warriors of light and good, with Ririka ad their leader armed with the Dragon Sword!
