The Ocular villain

4:52 PM – City

Cartoon Kid:Hey, Molecular Girl, I need help with my chemistry assignment.

Molecular Girl:Sure. When’s it due?

Cartoon Kid:The day after tomorrow.(They effortlessly dodge the attacks of armed robbers.)

Decibolt:I took a look at your chemistry book, and it barely scratches the surface. A lot’s missing, and some theories are even wrong.(An armed robber creeps up behind him, but Decibolt elbows him without turning, knocking him out.)

Cartoon Kid:Another gang of easy robbers. By now, you’d think they’d realize they don’t stand a chance.

Molecular Girl:Just—

Guardian(interrupting over comms):Kira, the three of you need to come back to the chamber.

Molecular Girl:We have to go.

4:57 PM – Guardian’s Chamber

Guardian:Cell towers have been mysteriously getting destroyed. The workers think it’s just blown fuses, but I believe it’s the work of an undercover supervillain.

Cartoon Kid:Are you saying what I think you’re saying?

Guardian:You’re going undercover to find this villain.

Cartoon Kid:Yes! My first undercover mission!

Guardian:I’ve handled all the details. Just teleport to these coordinates and show them these forms.(He hands over some papers.)

Cartoon Kid:Come on, let’s go!

Guardian:You might want to deactivate your suits first.

Cartoon Kid:Oh... right.(They deactivate their suits and step into the portal.)

5:00 PM – Cell Site

Kira:Try to act normal. And I’m looking at you, Deci—uh, Hakim.

Hakim:Still hate that name.(They approach the entrance where two guards stand in front of glass doors.)

Guard 1:ID.(They hand them over.)

Guard 1:So, you’re the new interns. Come with me.(He leads them to a woman with glasses.)

Guard 1:Ms. Mila, handing them over to you.(He leaves.)

Mila:Follow me.(They start walking.)

Kira:Hey, have you heard about the other cell sites getting destroyed?(She’s talking to Theo and Hakim but clearly wants Mila to hear.)

Mila:You’ve heard too? Most people think it’s coincidence, but they can’t read between the lines. Someone—or something—is sabotaging the cell sites. Am I right, or am I right?

Kira:Are you sure it would take a skilled person to do that?

Theo(thinking):I’m so confused... why is Kira denying we believe someone’s sabotaging the towers?

Hakim(thinking):As expected, Theo has no idea what tactic Kira’s using.

Mila:Another blind follower—no offense.

Kira:We believe what we want to believe, how—

Mila(interrupting):We’re here.(She opens a door where two more interns are waiting.)

Mila:Looks like everyone’s here. We’ll start the briefing soon.(They take seats.)

Ben:Hi, my name’s Ben.

Theo:Hi.

Ben:So why do you want this internship?

Theo:To, um—

Kira(smoothly cutting in):Gain experience. What about you?

Ben:My father forced me. I wanted to be an artist, but he said I should get a “real” job. I’m good with tech, but my passion is art.

Theo:So... you’re angry. Angry enough to, say—blow up the place?

Ben:I guess if I could, I would.

Hakim:Looks like the briefing’s starting.

Briefing – Minutes Later

Mila:Welcome to your internship program. My name is Ms. Mila, and this is just a brief briefing...(She continues. Soon, everyone’s assigned to their mentors.)

Kira:Try not to do anything stupid. And yes, I’m looking at both of you.

Theo’s Side

Antonio:My name is Antonio. I’ll guide you on how to manage the engine room.(He explains.)We have the engines, the fuel gauge, and the energy converter. Over here is the cooling system. Now, bring that cylinder.

Theo(thinking):Time to embarrass myself with these weak muscles...(He’s surprised he lifts it easily.)Whoa... I could barely lift this when it was empty. Kira and Decibolt’s training are paying off.

Antonio:Use this hose to connect it. Now flip this switch—off when it hits the red line.

Hakim’s Side

Mrs. Hanna:This is the technical engineering department. We ensure all connections are intact and servers functional. Over there is our top engineer fixing a server issue. This is too advanced for you, so just watch—

Hakim:What you’re doing is wrong.

Engineer:What?!

Hakim:The problem’s here—do this and this.(He makes quick adjustments. The server comes online.)

Engineer:I can’t believe I missed that.

Hanna:You must’ve studied hard.

Engineer:We’ve got a top-tier circuit breaker, but it keeps tripping.

Hakim:Easy fix—the load’s too much for one. Get two more. Sometimes quantity beats quality.

Engineer:Never thought of that.

Hakim(thinking):Wonder who’s the mentor here...

Kira’s Side

Mrs. Gem:I’ll be your mentor in the signal transfer department. We ensure data is readily available and maintain antennas and dishes. Watch them install this dish.

Kira:Do they face a specific direction?

Gem:Horizontally, toward nearby towers.

Kira:And the antennas?

Gem:Downward/outward to cover city blocks.

Meanwhile, on Theo’s side.

Antonio: Go get me a cup of coffee.

Theo:Sure.

(As he left.)While he was walking, he saw Ben doing something with the fuse box. Theo hid behind the corner and watched. In a few seconds, Ben left, and Theo went in.

Theo: Is Ben the undercover villain?

???: What are you doing here?

Theo: M-Ms. Mila.

Mila: Are you dismantling the fuse box?

Theo: It wasn’t me I saw Ben...

(Without listening to his explanation, she pressed a red button, and an alarm sounded, and guards came rushing in.)

Mila: Take him to the undercover storage room.

Mila (On the mic): Could Kira and Hakim’s mentors guide them to the empty storage room?

In a few minutes, they were all in the room.

Kira: What did you do this time?

Theo: I didn’t do anything.

Mila: I found him dismantling the fuse box.

Hakim: Theo-he can’t even unscrew a screw.

Mila: Then why was it dismantled?

Theo: It was then he dismantled he fuse box; he left and went in.

Mila: Weren’t you listening during the briefing? Ben is working in that department.

Theo: Oh, I pretty much zoned out through the entire briefing.

Kira: See, he’s just a kid who does dumb things.

Mila: I’m still suspecting you, all of you, but you can go back to work, Antonieo, keep an eye on this one.

A while later.

Kira: Guys, I think I know who the villain is. Meet in the outer part of the cell tower.

In the outer part of the cell tower, Kira got there first after transforming.

Molecular girl: Stop right there-Mila.

Mila: So, you caught me, but the name’s not Mila, it’s...

(As she threw her glasses on the floor and a glowing ball revolved around her from toe to head while a slick super suit materialized and with a blue ma and the V.S. insignia on her forehead.)

Mila: Retina

The Cartoon Kid and Decibolt arrive.

Cartoon kid: Who’s that?

Molecular girl: It’s Mila.

Retina: How did you know I was the villain?

Molecular girl: Here’s how it happened.

Flashback.

While Kira was working, she noticed a book containing all of the official workers.

Kira: Who’s this?

Gem: That’s Mila, you know the person from the briefing.

Kira: But she looks nothing like her.

Gem: What are you talking about? Even though it was a year ago, she looks the same.

Kira (Lying): Oh yeah, you’re right, I don’t know what I was looking at.

End of flashback.

Molecular girl: I knew that somehow you must have made all the other workers think you looked like that other woman.

Retina: Of all the ways to be discovered, you’re right I have ocular abilities and used them to create and eye illusion on all other workers to make it look like I was Mila of course after giving the real a special sleeping pile the V.L design which will come the real Mila a sleep for a week enough time for me to sabotage and get out of there and for the real Mila to come back without anyone noticing a thing.

Cartoon kid: I can’t believe you were right under our noses.

Retina: Like the old saying goes, keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

(As her eyes suddenly turned red and she began to shoot lasers at them, but even Theo easily dodged.)

Molecular girl: Take this.

(As she used her molecular kinesis, Kira hurled the box toward Retina. But Retina fired a precise laser beam, slicing the box clean in half. As the pieces split apart, she leapt through the gap and shot a laser blast at Kira, knocking her to the ground.)

Cartoon kid: Frozen!

(As he summoned her.)

Cartoon kid: Make it nice and quick.

Frozen: That is my style.

(As she teleports to Retina’s blind spot and tries to spin kick her mid-air, but she dodges and kicks her in the gut.)

Frozen: W-Was that enhanced instinct?

Retina: Nah, 6 seconds foresight.

(As he pointed to her eyes. Then she began launching laser beams at her, but her enhanced instincts enabled her to dodge.)

Frozen: Let’s see if you can foresee this, Ice blizzard!

(As she took a deep breath and, in a few seconds, she unleashed a powerful blizzard.)

Decibolt: Sonic storm!

(As he attacked them, Frozen ended the blizzard.)

Retina: If you think a little blizzard can blur my vision, then you are far from correct.

(As she stood looking at the multiple sonic discs with her eye, the color blue, and covering the left eye with her hand, causing all the discs to stop.

Decibolt: How are you doing that?

Retina: Pause sight.

(As she moved aside while still looking at the discs, she let go, and all the discs crashed into the ground.

Retina (Panting): But it always takes a toll on me.

Decibolt: Sonic step.

(But retina was still able to dodge, then her eyes turned green and lifted a Bix with a green beam, emitting from her eyes, and hurled it at Decibolt. Then she easily dodged one of Kira’s Kinetic punches.)

Retina: is that all you got?

Molecular girl: Gravitational Kinesis attack III: Up and down gravity.

(Soon she was going up and down, smashing into the ground.)

Frozen: Now’s my chance.

(As she covered her hand with an ice Gauntlet and gave Retina’s an uppercut, sending her flying. She jumped up and gave her swift attacks with her fan before kicking her to the ground.)

Retina: You’ll pay for that.

(As her eyes turned red and shot a laser beam at her, but she began to teleport around her, creating an Ice copy each time she teleported until Retina was surrounded, not knowing who was the real one.)

Retina: Then I’ll destroy them all.

(As she spun around while blasting a long laser beam, destroying all of them, but Frozen was not part of them.)

Decibolt: Sonic-pulse blast.

(Sending her flying, then frozen teleported behind her, given multiple punches on the back before kicking her upwards, then Kira used her molecular Kinesis to pull her down forcefully.)

Retina (To herself): My powers are getting weak; I should quickly take care of the summon.

(As she covered her left eye with her hand and her eye turned into a yellow spiral.)

Retina: Spiral cannon!

(As she blasted a spiral blast and Frozen disappeared in a cloud of yellow smoke.)

Retina (Panting heavily): Now all I need is perfect.

(As Antonieo came out looking for Theo.)

Antonio: What the.

(As the retina’s eyes turned green and pulled in Antonieo. She used her eyes to steal his sight, recharging her ocular abilities.)

Cartoon kid: What are you doing to him?

Retina: I’m just recharging my powers-which will result in the loss of his sight.

(As she threw him away.)

Cartoon kid: You monster! Activate the chosen one form, Camo cloak.

(As he transformed into Camo cloak.)

Retina: I’ll finish you all, Ocular death ball.

(As her eyes turned black, and blasted a powerful energy ball.)

Molecular girl&Decibolt: Molecular-Deci shield!

Retina (Panting): How?

Molecular girl: Unfortunately, our powers combined perfectly, so we had to practice this together.

Cartoon kid: Let’s finish this, Invis-domain.

Retina: Was that supposed to do something?

Cartoon kid: I can turn anyone and anything within a 15-meter radius invisible.

(As he snapped his fingers and Kira and Hakim turned invisible. Retina began flying around due to their punches.)

Retina: Normally, I would be able to see their attack, but after that attack, my powers are completely drained.

Molecular girl: Kinetic punch barrage.

(Sending her flying.)

Decibolt: Deci cannon.

(Pushing her to the ground.)

Cartoon kid: You’re finished!

(As he gave her swift lashes from his sword, knocking her out.)

Molecular girl: You guys can go; I’ll take care of Retina and Antonie.

Cartoon kid: Where do you take these villains?

Molecular girl: I take them to a special jail with special shackles that cancel out their powers.

Cartoon kid: Can I tag along?

Molecular girl: Sure.

Decibolt: See ya.

(As he opened a portal and walked in.)
