Chapter 7:

Chapter 07 — The Adventurers Guild

Summoned To Another World

Iris settled down on the makeshift bedding, pulling a blanket around herself.

「OK, you do that. ...Yawns... We'll check the Adventurer's Guild tomorrow, right?」

「Yah, we will.」

「Well then, good night.」

「Yah, good night.」

【OK, let's start with these spells.】 Jay (Zak) began to draw complex runes in the air with a faint, silvery mana trail.

The Next Day...

The door to the spare room creaked open, and Aunt Louez walked in.

「Oh, Kni— What's going on in here?」

Jay, who had been awake for hours studying his new spells, remained relaxed despite the chaotic morning scene.

「It seems my lady decided to sleep on the floor too.」

Iris, suddenly roused by the noise, blinked sleepily.

「Oh, good morning, Aunt Louez.」

She was sitting directly on top of Jay, a detail that did not escape Louez’s hawk-like gaze.

「Why are you sitting on top of him like that?」

Iris looked down, completely unbothered.

「Oh, this? It’s just he’s so comfortable. And sorry if it's bothering you, Aunt Louez.」

「Well, an apology won't cut it, and you shouldn't throw yourself at boys like that!」

Iris rolled her eyes good-naturedly.

「Oh, Jay is actually nineteen.」

Louez gasped dramatically, clutching her chest.

「No way! You slept on a man?!」

「What’s the problem? I'll be turning nineteen in a month anyway, so it’s not a big deal.」

「Of course it is a big deal! A really big one!」

「...Sighs... Fine, I'll stop doing this.」

「OK, good. Now go and freshen up... separately!」

Iris stood up, stretching theatrically.

「You’re killing me. You’re really killing me.」

Later At The Guild...

The interior of the Adventurer's Guild was a bustling chaos of leather armor, clanging swords, and rough laughter. Behind the counter, a figure of elegant familiarity waited.

Liani S. Arand smiled brightly as Jay and Iris approached.

「Welcome to the Guild. How may I help you two?」

【No way... Liani!】 Jay felt a jolt of surprise at seeing the noble daughter working a public counter.

Liani tilted her head, noticing his silence.

「Um... Hello?」

「Oh, sorry! Me and my friend would like to join the Guild.」 Jay quickly recovered, careful to keep his voice neutral.

「Oh, okay. Did you have any prior experience?」

「Well, no, we did not.」

Liani nodded, pulling out a smooth, multifaceted stone.

「OK, put your hands on the Identification Crystal, and we'll give you your card that has your status. Then you'll be official adventurers.」
