Chapter 3: Soft Fur, Sharp Feelings

Life at my apartment had become louder, messier, and far more complicated than it had ever been before. 

What once felt quiet and empty now overflowed with emotions that clashed and collided every day.

That morning, I woke up with a familiar weight on my chest. But when I opened my eyes, it wasn’t Yuki.

Kaoe stood proudly on my bed, her pink eyes glowing as she stared down at me like she owned the place. 

I barely had time to react before Yuki peeked in from the living room. The moment she saw where Kaoe was standing, her body froze.

That had always been her spot. I smiled sleepily and praised Kaoe for trying to wake me up. 

The words had barely left my mouth when the air turned cold. Yuki’s gaze sharpened in a way that sent a chill through me. 

Before I could fix my mistake, a sharp pain tore across my face.

By the time I reached school, a fresh scratch decorated my cheek.

Mina noticed instantly. After hearing the story, she didn’t even hesitate before declaring that I had completely messed up. 

According to her, there was only one way to survive a jealous Yuki remind her that she was still special.

That evening, Yuki sat quietly on the couch, hugging her knees. Guilt weighed heavily on her face. 

While she punished me with her jealousy, she clearly hadn’t meant to hurt me. She was just afraid.

When I finally returned home, she rushed to the door to apologize only for Kaoe to reach me first.

The warmth vanished instantly. That night, the tension followed us to the dinner table. I could barely swallow my food. 

That was when I remembered something important. Something only Yuki and I shared.

I handed her a small, fluffy doll. Her eyes widened as recognition struck. It was the toy she had loved back when she was still a cat. 

The one she had lost and never stopped searching for. Tears shimmered in her eyes as she hugged it tightly.

In that moment, the jealousy melted away. She apologized softly for hurting me, and I told her it didn’t matter. 

All that mattered was that her smile had returned. For the first time that day, peace filled the room again.

Then the knocking began. It was slow. Heavy. Certain. An uncomfortable silence settled between us as we stared at the door. 

Something felt wrong. When I finally opened it, I found Mina standing there.

But she wasn’t alone. Beside her stood a woman with long brown hair, sharp eyes, and a presence that made my chest tighten without warning. Her gaze locked onto me instantly.

“Master… you really forgot me?” My heart dropped. The memories hit all at once.“Toie…?” Her expression softened with relief.

Before I could gather myself, Mina casually revealed the truth. She had found Toie starving in the city long ago and used magic to save her. 

Only much later did she realize that the master Toie had been searching for all this time… was me.

Now Toie was a famous model. Inside the apartment, Yuki watched with narrowed eyes. 

The moment she sensed the bond between Toie and me, irritation sparked in her expression. The tension returned instantly stronger than before.

And while I stood frozen at the doorway, caught between past and present, I felt it.

Something bad was coming. Far away, hidden within the shadows, a mysterious presence that had been watching us quietly slipped away. Unseen. Unfinished.

Toie's backstory 

Few years ago when Kai was fifteen years old he was still living with his parents on his village and had a cat he named her Toie they grew up together.

For kai Toie was more than a pet she was part of Kai when Kai turned seventeen his parents send him to the "Happy city" for better education and he had to leave toie. 

He didn't wanted to leave Toie but couldn't do much and just left. But he didn't knew Toie was following the car all along. Her paws were bleeding she was starving and stressed.

But image of Kai gave her enough courage to follow the car and the scent of Kai. In the end toie gave up. And fortunately Mina saw her on the road laying down. 

Mina couldn't see a cat dying alone so she just used the transformation Magic and turned toie into a girl .

Mina realised that Toie was very gorgeous after becoming a human so mina just suggested that Toie should become a model and she accepts.

 After a year toie asked " did you know a boy named Kai?" So mian just took her to Kai.
