Episode THREE…

Confrontation: Assassins Debut

Opening Theme Plays

Continuing after the 2nd episode. Trisha and the others get ready for their mission to find the wayward assassins. Afruo cleans his sword getting ready for battle while the others try to wake up Koko who is still sleeping peacefully. Tanuki pokes at Koko’s face to wake her up.

[Tanuki:] Oi, Koko wake up

[Koko:] (Grumbling) Leave me alone

[Tanuki:] Wake up dammit, We got a mission today

[Koko:] (Grumbling)

[Trisha:] Leave her alone Tanuki. She’s not gonna wake up without trigger word.

[Tanuki:] Trigger word, what are you two buddy buddy now.

[Trisha:] Well no, but if memory serves every time some mentions food

[Koko:] Someone mentioned food?

Rubbing her eyes as she steadily wakes

[Trisha:] See, told you

[Tanuki:] Huh… well any way get up we have to get ready Afuro is waiting for you.

[Koko:] What about breakfast

[Tanuki:] We’ll get you something before we leave.

Stumbling awake Koko heads off to get ready Tanuki heads off to sit with Afuro and Trisha goes fishing to cook something for Koko. She gets a fish from the river and put it on a skewer.

[Trisha] Torch!

Holding the fish on a stick in one hand she snaps here fingers and the fish is engulfed in flames. Once the smoke clears a perfectly cooked fish is on the skewer. She gets some left over bread from yesterday and handed it to Koko who finished getting dressed.

[Koko] Thank you for the food

She eats her food while everyone gets ready. Afuro finished polishing his sword and placed it by his side. Everyone met up with his at the village entrance.

[Afuro] Alright, lets move out

[Trisha, Tanuki, and Koko] RIGHT!

The four of them headed out in search of the assassins. In the woods about 10 miles from the village 2 figures walk through the woods. The man is carry the charred corpse of Stanley. The woman is just walking beside him.

[Ichikai] God, I hope we get a better job soon. Grim keeps sending us to track down these weaklings

[Tempest] Looks like you’ll get that fight you wanted Ichikai

[Ichikai] Yeah Yeah whatever you say boss

[Tempest] Well, it seems we’ll have company soon. Four targets coming from the Afuro Clan village. Grim told us not to stick around but I fell like having some fun.

The 4 warriors ran through the woods and spotted 2 figures standing there

[Trisha] Looks like their carrying a corpse it must be them.

Koko jumped into one of the trees armed with her sniper. Trisha and the others kept running towards the targets. Afuro used his Clairvoyance technique to search for traps. He sensed the woman was about to make a move.

[Afuro] Tanuki, Trisha MOVE NOW!

She claps her hands

[Tempest] Bottomless Swamp!

As they all jump the ground beneath them turns purple as a liquid begins to form on the ground. As they grab onto the trees above Tanuki’s bag falls from the tree into the liquid below. It sinks instantly into the swamp.

[Tanuki] That’s them alright.

[Afuro] Who are you two?

[Ichikai] How rude of us. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ichikai Norsabe. You may know me as The Dragon Slayer. My big bosomed friend here is Tempest the Lich.

Ichikai was a tall man black and grey samurai type armor and wore a brown bamboo hat. The woman was tall, slender, beautiful. She hand long black and white hair. A nice rack and wore a black one piece with a red trench coat.

[Afuro] Who hired you?

[Tempest] That is none of your concern dear.

[Tanuki] I’ve heard of you. Your a war criminal it was said you were dead. Killed in action.

[Tempest] Blame that on one of you precious Guardian generals who let me escape. So I’m still alive

[Afuro] Your Undertaker members aren’t you

[Tempest] Looks like you heard of us

[Tanuki] These are the assassins Akira mentioned to us

[Afuro] I have one final question. Where is Kori Fugitaruo

The two look at each other.

[Ichikai] Oh, your his student aren’t you. He talked about you once about how you were weak… worthless… utter scum.

[Afuro] ENOUGH!

Afuro brusts from the tree in a rage rushing at Ichikai. Ichikai pulls out his giant sword off his back called Dragon Slayer. The two swordmen clash blades. The impact creates a crater. Tempest jumped into the tree to avoid the impact.

[Afuro] WHERE IS HE?

[Ichikai] Your gonna have to fight me first. This is gonna be fun.

Ichikai retreated to the woods while Afuro chased after him. A shot rang from the tree aiming at the lich. Tempest jumps out of the tree avoiding the shot. Koko clocks her gun to reload. Tempest disappeared into the trees

[Koko] OI IDIOT A, IDIOT B She’s getting away after her.

Tanuki and Trisha drew their weapons and chased after the Lich with Koko staying hidden within the trees. Mean while Afuro and Ichikai land in a field outside the forest and continue the fight. The warriors clash their blades over and over. On the 6th strike Afuro dodges and kicks Ichikai away.

[Afuro] Fireball!

He takes a deep breath and puts launches a large blue fireball straight at Ichikai. He puts his hands on the ground

[Ichikai] Stone Wall!

A large stone slab pops up from the ground and blocks the impact of the fire ball, then the wall disintegrates into dust. Ichikai flips backward and prepare for another attack.

[Ichikai] Take This, Lightning Ball!

Ichikai launches a giant orb made of lightning which moves at fast speeds. The orb explodes and smoke covers the screen. The Explosion echos in the background. Meanwhile Trisha Tanuki and Koko rushed after the Lich.

[Trisha] Let’s spilt up, Go help Mr Afuro

[Tanuki] Right.

The two of them go opposite sides of the forest.

[Tempest] I think a lost them.

Koko suddenly jumps from the tree and shoots from her gun. Tempest catches the bullet and flicks it away. Then Trisha comes jumping from the tree above Tempest who looks up in shock.

[Trisha] HAAAAA!

Trisha wielding Tentora in hammer mode smashes it into Tempest face slamming her into the ground. As the smoke clears Koko jumps down to engage with her knife, Trisha jumps down to join her. Tempest stands up unfazed from the attacks. She dusts herself off. She pulls out a small scroll. She bites her finger and smears blood on the scroll.

[Tempest] Summon: Skeleton Army!

She throws the scroll on the ground which explodes in a puff of smoke. From the smoke emerge 5 skeleton warriors barring swords and shields. The rattled as the walked for battle.

[Tempest] Fire Wall Formation!

With a snap of her fingers a wall of fire formed in front and behind the warriors. Tempest jumps through the fire to meet up with ichikai. Koko takes out 2 skeletons with her knife as Trisha prepares to put out the fire.

[Trisha] Water Cannon!

She breaths back and spits out a giant stream of water that puts out the fire wall. After taking out the skeletons the girls head to find Afuro and Tanuki. Afuro continues to clash with Ichikai. The two clash blades with a close up of their faces.

[Ichikai] This is so fun. I haven't had a good fight in ages.

[Afuro] Shut up, you imputent bastard!

Tanuki jumps from the forest. Ichikai grabs his face

[Ichikai] Excuse me boy, I’m having a fight here with your friend do you mind?

Ichikai casually tosses him aside into a tree which breaks. He runs of Afuro and swings his sword. After he dodges Ichikai kicks Afuro awhile. Before he could strike again Trisha Koko and Tempest appear on opposite sides of the forest.

[Tempest] Stop messing around already. We have to head back now.

[Trisha] Tentora Extend!

Tentora extended to try and stab one of them from a distance. Tempest dodges as it pieces a trees. Koko tries to take another shot which Tempest caught.

[Ichikai] Dammit it was just getting to. Alrighty We’ll see you later then

[Afuro] Stop right there you son of a bitch. You didn’t answer my question.

Tempest teleports away with out Stanley’s body. Ichikai picks up and looks back at Afuro who fell to his knees from exhaustion.

[Ichikai] To answer your question… Fuck off.

Ichikai teleports away with a smile. Trisha heads over to Tanuki to help him up off the ground but he slaps her hand away. In a his anger for thinking he is weak he retreats into the forest. Koko gets the herds from her bag to patch up Afuro and hands some to Trisha.

[Koko] Go help that idiot please.

[Trisha] Understood.

She retracted Tentora from the tree and placed it on her back. She headed up to find an angry Tanuki. Meanwhile Tanuki sat in a tree with tears in his eyes recalling a flash back from 5 years ago. His old comrades 4 shadows stand tall, then 4 dead bodies torn to pieces decapitated and mutilated in a dark room. Blood stained every wall. Tanuki fell to his knees in the frame of the door.

[Tanuki] How did you die so easily, if only I was here

[Jack] That is a pity isn’t it.

Rubbing his eyes Tanuki looked up. A shadow of a man stood their smiling. But before the dream could continue he woke up. Trisha standing over him.

[Trisha] You ok?

He slaps her hand away again.

[Tanuki] Don’t touch me! I’m weak, I couldn’t help him! I couldn’t save them!

[Trisha] Woah woah, calm down what do you..

Tanuki stands up and gets into a battle stance.

[Tanuki] FIGHT ME!

[Trisha] Calm down Tanu...

Trisha tried to calm him down but Tanuki begins swinging his fists at Trisha. She blocked his first 4 punches. He trips her at the legs, flips and kicks her away. Trisha flips and lands in a tree.

[Trisha] Water Ball!

Trisha breaths back and launches a giant water ball projectile. Tanuki draws his sword and quickly cuts away the projectile. He jumps to attack her. She counters with Tentora. The two clash blades. Meanwhile Koko helps Afuro up as he senses the fight happening.

[Koko] What’s wrong? Are you ok?

[Afuro] We need to move?

[Koko] Why?

[Afuro] No time to explain follow me

With a concerned look for the swordsmen health Koko followed him into the woods to find their other 2 team mates.

[Afuro Narration] Tanuki is trying to kill Trisha. Don’t do something you will regret.

Back at the fight the two are still clashing blades dodging ever other swing. Tanuki begins his final attack.

[Tanuki] I call upon the power of the Zodiac!

Tanuki puts his sword into the ground, makes the hand sign for Tiger and claps his hands.

[Trisha] TANUKI NO!

[Tanuki] TANUKI YES! … Flaming Tiger Palms!

His fists become engulfed with fire as he runs towards her. As Tanuki runs at her with murderous intent running in slow motion. Trisha begins to talk to herself.

[Trisha Narration] Ah so this is how I die… killed by this idiot

Tanuki moving slowly towards her while she’s still talking to herself.

[Trisha] God he’s slow. I wonder if I can move out of the.

Suddenly Afuro and Koko comes out of the woods. With blinding speed he stops Tanuki’s fist before it made impact with Trisha’s face. He spins him around knocks him out.

[Tanuki] *Coughs*

He fell to the ground out cold and with little to no effort. The girls stared at him as he lied on the ground not moving or any signs of breathing.

[Koko] Did you kill em.

[Afuro] He’ll live. I’ll watch over him in my village. Report back to the guild telling them everything we saw today. I’ll send him home when he is well rested. Take this.

Afuro handed Trisha a blue colored crystal that glowed with a bright light. Koko walks over to investigate.

[Afuro] This is a teleportation stone. Each person who wants to leave must hold the stone at once. Call out the location of your destination and you will be teleported there.

Both girls grab their bags and weapons. They grab hold of the crystal

[Trisha and Koko] KUYA GUILD

In a flash of light both girls are teleported away.

[Knight] Heard of those assassins in the west

[Wizard] Heard the Chief was hunting them down.

[Knight] Thought she was retired man.

[Wizard] Nah that was just a rumor.

Soon a bright light shined outside the building where the 2 men stood chatting. The two girls appeared right in front of them with a thud they hit the ground.

[Wizard] You alright?

[Koko] Don’t touch me stranger.

[Trisha] Be nice Koko, We’re alright thank you.

The two walked through the guild doors where they were greeted by Akria

[Akira] HEY, how was the mission… where’s Tanuki?

[Trisha] He’s alive, the swordsmen you sent us to meet is taking care of him.

[Akira] Give me the report...

[Trisha] Two assassins were found in the area of Takinoue no Mura. Both are Undertaker assassin members.

[Mage] Thats... thats impossible.

A silence in the room. Many of the adventures came around to listen in on this report. Soon the room became noisy with everyone talking about the situation

[Akira] Shes.. shes right. The leader of the Undertakers was killed many years ago along with the majority of its members. Are you sure of this?

[Trisha] Indeed. Both Tanuki and Master Afuro has knowledge on them. Known as Ichikai Norasabe and Tempest the Lich Queen

[Chloe] TEMPEST! Taiyaki that idiot.

[Trisha] Why’s that?

[Chloe] Your father reported she was dead! He had one job and he failed!

[Akira] Goddammit… *sigh* anything else to report

[Trisha] They had a corpse with them. The victim was male, one hand seemed limp while the other was missing.

[Koko] Oh I picked up this hat earlier as well. Recognise it?

From her bag she pulls out a black hat with a single white feather. She hands it to Akira. Upon looking at it Akira fell to his knees with tears in his eyes. Nashi comes over to comfort him. Chloe comes over to look at the hat.

[Chloe] This is Stanely’s hat… and what happened to his body.

[Trisha] I am unsure. They disappeared with his body. No location is given

Rubbing the tears from his eyes Akira stands up and turns towards everyone.

[Akira] This is 2nd assassination within 2 months. Both were veterans. We need to find our allies and warn them before these killers strike again. Trisha find your aunt and bring her here. Take this with you.

[Trisha] Understood sir.

Trisha ran out the door to head home.

[Akira] Koko, thank you for your service. You are dismissed. You are free to stay if you wish.

She saluted and headed out the door. Akira walked towards one of the walls. Pictures of all members of the since the beginning on the wall. Chloe walked over and stood by his side.

[Chloe] You alright?

[Akira] Yeah, I just hope everyone will be safe.

END CREDITS AND Opening theme plays

Elsewhere. Ichikai and Tempest arrived at an old building. Ichikai pulled out a crystal ball which he placed on the floor. A beam of light which shined across the room. 8 beams of light created hologram like images of the rest of the Undertaker members.

[Ichikai] Job complete. I expect my pay for this

[Dr Tori] You will be paid in time. Who is our next target boss

The female in the middle stayed silent. Screen cuts to black.
