Chapter 728: The Goddess Steps Up

The mutant zombie Hamura still rages with flames! The battle continues!

As the mutant continues to roar, Harmona glares at it, entirely fearless now.

“I’ve got more for you!!” Zaydra screams, charging her magic energy.

“Both of you, stay back,” Harmona orders.

Zaydra turns her head and looks at Harmona like she is insane. “What are you saying?!”

“I will finish this battle,” Harmona replies, still glaring at the mutant. “I am the Light Goddess. I still must protect you, even if you’re at the point that you can protect yourself.”

“But it makes more sense for us all to fight it together!” Keith pleads.

“He’s right!” Zaydra adds.

“We have more battles ahead!” Harmona barks. “We can’t all drain ourselves on one enemy!”

Harmona starts walking toward the mutant zombie as Zaydra and Keith stare at her from behind, still shocked.

As she walks, she says with a serious tone, “The dead should not be disrespected this way. I will put you back where you belong.”

Her eyes focus on the mutant zombie with a burning fierceness. Her magic aura flows around her like the strongest winds.

The mutant charges forward, its back somewhat hunched. It roars with fury.

Harmona thrusts her right arm forward, magically forming and launching a small meteor from her hand. The mutant tries to catch the meteor with its hand. It succeeds but the meteor’s power begins pushing the mutant back.

Taking advantage, Harmona jumps at an arched angle, and swings her leg horizontally to bash as her foot into the side of the mutant’s head. The kick causes the mutant to lose its grip on the meteor, now being fully blown back by it.

Harmona lands on the ground and launches a powerful Star Shine Blast at the mutant as it continues to be blown back by the meteor.

The combination of the meteor and Star Shine Blast creates a small but very powerful explosion, but Harmona does not stop there. She launches straight for the explosion before it even clears.

She reaches the heavily damaged mutant just as the explosion clears, and uses her arm to chop off the mutant’s right arm.

“Damn, she’s serious about this!” Keith notes with a raised voice.

“She may even be going all out.” Zaydra adds.

With the mutant’s arm gone, Harmona thrusts her hand straight for its head. “And now I will take your head!”

Just before her hand can reach the mutant’s head, a strong blast of flames shoots out from the mutant’s right arm socket. Harmona has to cease her attack and uses her arms to shield her body from the flames, jumping back immediately after. Her arms have slight burn marks.

A ball of flame forms around the mutant’s body.

Harmona’s eyes widen a bit, and she grits her teeth. “Wait, something’s different this time.”

Within the ball of flame, the mutant’s body has a black glow. The ball of flame launches forward with the mutant inside. Harmona jumps upward as her eyes open wider. “That’s…!!”

The ball immediately stops and launches upward directly beneath Harmona and blasts right into her, knocking her upward and then backward. She winces in pain as she mutters, “It’s High Reflex Mode…!”

The mutant quickly launches for Harmona again, slamming into her from the side, blasting her back into a tall building and shattering the windows and wall of her impact area. Some flames burn around the impact area. The mutant once again attempts to bash into Harmona, but as she sits up in pain, she forms and launches a Shooting Star from her hand once the mutant is too close to avoid it. The Shooting Star slams straight into the mutant and disrupts its ball of flame, sending it out of the building before it turns up toward the sky.

Harmona fully stands up, panting just a bit. There are humans within the room cowering in fear. She looks back at them for a moment and says, “It’s all right. No harm shall come to you.”

Harmona jumps out of the building and looks up as the Shooting Star continues to fly straight up. Eventually, the Shooting Star bursts, causing the mutant to fall straight down toward where Harmona stands. She doesn’t move, just glares at it with determination. However, she readies her fist.

“Say goodbye!”

With extreme power, Harmona thrusts her fist straight up as the mutant reaches her. Her fist tears through the midsection of the mutant’s body, effectively tearing it in half. Both halves land on the ground, but the head continues to moan and roar.

“Still kicking, huh?” Harmona growls. “Let me put you down for good.”

She charges magic energy in her hand and forms a Star Shine Blast, aiming it at the mutant’s upper half.

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” a voice says from high up.

Harmona, Zaydra, and Keith are all alerted by the sudden voice and look up to the roof of a building where they see Tyrant Zaydra, standing there with a disapproving expression.

“Cease your attack,” Tyrant Zaydra demands.

Harmona continues to have her Star Shine Blast aimed at the mutant’s upper body even as she still looks up at Tyrant Zaydra with a defiant expression. “And why should I?”

“If you finish off that mutant, I promise you this, all the mortals in this city will die.” Tyrant Zaydra states.

With victory in hand, Tyrant Zaydra shows up to put a stop to it! Will Harmona give in to Tyrant Zaydra’s demand?!
