Chapter 4: Colonel Meishu Gun

I jumped up. It was a nightmare. "UHHHH," I screamed. There was an unbearable affliction stuck deep in the depths of my chest.

Next to me was a huge man with a large body and a perfectly symmetrical face. He was wearing a plain black shirt, which reminded me of the depth of despair that I had faced. White pants which were in perfect contrast with his shirt.

"Who are you," I ask in agony.

" My name is colonel Meishu Gun," he answered confidently in his low pitched voice.

" Where am I?" I asked with a broken voice.

" You are in a safe zone, which is also an army base." He answered calmly.

"How did I get here," I inquired.

" We found you grievously injured when we were looking for people to save," he replied.

"What happened to this world," I catechized (asked)?

"We do not know the scientists are still trying to figure it out, but we found nothing."

" But we have found that not only animals get bigger than their habitat size but also smaller, this means that everything is random," he responded, in a very serious voice.

" We may have been looking at a national catastrophe here," he says in a very annoyed way.

" There have been reports of so many outlandish things such as people turning into stone, seas swallowing up humans, man-eating trees, and much more bizarre things, but do not worry about that most of them are probably hoaxes, " he hypothesized.

" And also people have developed power, and you have also, I can tell by the hole in the gigantic rat's body," he said.

" It seems to be that when the people are in a situation where they are going to die, instead of producing extra adrenaline people are attaining powers," he answered.

" What is your power," he quickly asks?

" I do not know, I think it might be something to do with speed," he answered.

" How long have I been asleep and has anything happened while I was," I inquired?

" You have asleep for 4 days kid and a lot of stuff happened," he answered.

" Several organizations have been formed to take over the country because everything is chaos, these organizations trying to get people who are strong, they steal food and everything from other organizations and a lot of things," he replies

" Apparently these organizations just wreak havoc and the conditions are horrible with a lot of bad people in them like criminals who have escaped from jails because of this catastrophe, apparently there are a lot of crimes in them like murder, r!!e and lot of other things," he explained.

" The current world is horrible and the only way to survive is to join one of those or horrible organizations or be lucky to be saved by us," he said.

" This is supposed to the official shelter but since half of the parliament and the president probably have already died, I guess official does not exist," he says.

" You are lucky, this is the safest place with food ration to last for 4 to 5 years, plenty of people we saved are scientists, doctors and part of many other useful professions who will help us get out of this horrible situation," he says.

" We will find the person who caused all of these problems," he replies.

"And don't worry you are perfectly healthy, one of our doctors stitched you up and you are a bit traumatized, just relax and don't do any exercise and you should be perfectly normal," he said.

Suddenly the walkie-talkie in Meishus's hand flared up. "WE ARE UNDER ATTACK," the person from the microphone screamed before he was skewered to expiration. We could feel the blood of the dead man pour out of the walkie talkie and develop our hand like it was paint completely enclosing a house.
