Chapter 37:
Blades of the Shattered Chaplets: 4th Novel
In a space full of absolutely nothing, Kazuki floated and across from him was Titan, but only a hollow shell of him, but still enough of his original soul for him to hear this. Now, Kazuki had never been cocky, but he wanted to make it a point of who he truly was.
Kazuki: “Titan, my dearest friend. I am not one to do this, but your rule has gone on for too long. I forced myself into this situation because I believed that you could change. The reason that I sealed myself was because of you I will admit. I did not want to ruin my reputation, but it was also out of boredom. The Swordsmen were weak, and I never wanted to be revived again. However, this era has proven something amazing to me. Let me get one thing straight though. The only reason you share my last name is because…I created you.”
The hollow shell that wasn’t supposed to move, did. The eyes flickered and eventually kept open to look at Kazuki.
Kazuki: “Look around, Titan. Do you know what this place is? The beginning of everything. Do you know who created this space? Me. I assume you know what this means. Ah, well, since you can’t talk, then I guess I’ll say it myself. I created everything, including you, Realm User.”
Titan tried to move in anger, but he was barely alive at this moment.
Kazuki: “Those Worlds of Protrations that you wanted to take over. I would have never let you do that. However, there are limits to even my powers. I did this just in case I ever became evil, but I see that I must keep to my values and reset that rule. Saikou did a great job in his final wish, killing himself to make this happen. He allowed me to reset everything. Well, it was a good talk, but I need to bring everyone back and reset this whole mess. It all started with your little failure of a creation after all. The Black Inklings were your fault and you brainwashed that man into bringing them here and into other Worlds. For what reason, I’m not sure, but you obviously wanted something.”
Titan again tried to move, but he was restricted completely.
Kazuki: “Don’t worry. My friend Aamon is going to take care of that. Everything will go back to normal and nobody will have a memory of most of this besides for maybe Charles Foster. That’s one hell of a human. Thank you, Titan. You were a flawed creation, however I shall make you better and I shall balance this world properly this time. After all, there is a man by the name of Reiken who was trying to save many people. He had the right idea, but the wrong execution. Well, Aamon should take care of most of the flaws that happen this time. As for you, Titan, I would believe in second chances, however, I think I’ll create someone else in your stead. Bye, bye.”
Titan’s hollowed body disappeared as Kazuki focused on bringing the World back together and reviving every single person that was killed. This was not what he intended to do, but it’s a sacrifice that he was willing to make, ensuring that the future would be solidified.
Kazuki looked onwards as his body started to slowly fade, resetting the world back to what it was. “Reiken, I will keep your ideals together. A barrier that creates a separate world that cannot be touched. A splendid idea for someone looked down upon by others. Enemies exist all over the place in this world, but I will not continuously be a protector for every generation. If I am needed, then what happened in this generation will happen again. I will separate the shards of Alcion for when the time comes.”
The same man from earlier with the green caped hood rushed at him from out of nowhere with his orange flaming sword. Even Kazuki questioned how he got into this space without his approval, but at the moment, Kazuki’s body was already fading and he could not be touched.
Kazuki: “You are the one that caused this mess in the first place? Did you plan to take it so far? Did you think that your presence escaped me?”
???: “You! You ruined this! You ruined EVERYTHING!”
Kazuki: “You still wish to not show your face? Ah, there must’ve been some motive behind all of this. Well my young swordsman. Whatever that motive was, I’m giving you the chance to change before you repeat that disaster. If you don’t intend to do so, then you will face the outcome that you do not desire. However, if I do not do this, then enemies from every World will ruin my beautiful creation. I’m sorry, young one. I cannot fix you. That must come from within. As for everyone else, if you can hear me, I’m sorry. I was not strong enough to save everyone from their deaths, but I am putting the work all on myself to save you all. Goro Retsu, do not fret, all will be resolved. Goodluck…Everyone.”
His body faded as the space around them crumbled in on itself and everything reset within seconds…
Akatsu: “You will regret this daughter. That man is dangerous.”
Aki: “You don’t even know him! We are leaving with the horse, father. And you will never see me again.”
Aki took the injured Dante and rode off with him as thunder and lightning mixed with heavy rain, causing their trip to be less steady.
A rock.
They hit a giant rock in the road that the horse couldn’t see and they tripped and lost consciousness.
When they awoke, they were in a log cabin with nobody else around, but Aki looked at a healed Dante, wondering how they got here and how they got healed.
She whispered in Dante’s ear, “You’re going to be okay. We are going to be okay, together.”

In the distance, all 9 Worlds of Protrations collided into each other, creating a space that was extremely unique as if fractions of each world formed like a barrier.
It was a beautiful sight.
Aamon Krozolo advanced beyond the edges of the Worlds, walking slowly towards the hooded figure that stood in the middle.
Aamon: “You see. I’ve been tasked with one thing and one thing only, and that is your demise. Not sure if you remember, but this isn’t the first time we’ve met. You caused a lot of chaos apparently in the other timeline. Not sure why you had to bring an innocent man with a family into this or what your motive was, but that’s not my job right now. Injecting some sort of liquid into an injured man while the horse he was riding tripped on a rock in a storm and then you show your face like you are a friend? I saw it all, however you probably do not remember this because it did not happen. I’ve pulled you from that timeline sir. Now, I’ll make this quick. My wife is calling my name.”
…
Charles Foster walked along the clouds of the Land of the Rising Phoenix towards a gravestone that no longer said his name. “This was my selfish wish to Kazuki, who granted me it without hesitation. Thank you.”
He watched the old woman attend to the flowers and the graveyard, looking at her with a smile on his face. He confidently approached her and screamed the word “Hello!” to her as if they were friends, but she was startled and looked at him like he was crazy.
Charles: “You old hag, always watering everything and keeping it nice and neat for me. Thank you, miss! An old friend wanted to say hi. His name is Akuma Kashi. Ring a bell?”
She dropped the watering can and started to cry and hugged Charles out of nowhere even though she had no idea who he was.
Charles: “Have a strong mind, miss. Everything will work out. You are the embodiment of greatness! Keep these flowers going! Everything will be okay! Now! Onward! Kazuki! Let me show you how strong I truly am hahahaha!”
He left without another word as she fell to her knees thinking about Akuma Kashi who did not remember anything, but would’ve visited if he did. However, just the name made her cry tears of joy.
