Chapter 2:
THAT ONE GUY
"Before I do what you guys asked, let me explain myself first!"
Have you kept up with me, right now? If you've not, then let me explain. My name is Oscar Timberg. I was your average Joe person, just doing a part-time job to make up for my main job. On my way back home one day, I got chased by lights. No, you're hearing that correctly. Lights indeed chased me. Eight of them, to be precise.
But here is the plot twist, my friend, those lights were the spirits of the legendary summoner hero's subordinates. They were on a mission to find their "reincarnated" master. The insane part was that I looked exactly like him.
I said multiple times to them that I didn't feel like I was a reincarnated person. Like, I didn't feel I had a person inside of me before they invaded my body. They were the first to get inside my body.
They insisted that I was the one. I was their master. I didn't complain, but EIGHT? I had to babysit eight of them? Not only that, but I also had to learn this thing called Mana Surge, where I had to link my... mana with them to be able to summon them.
It was the most confusing hour of my life. I had to explain my whole life story in short to them, so that I could at least convince one of them that I'm not their master. I was just nobody.
"... There! I have explained my whole life until now. It's not that special, right? So, is that a convincing story?"
I could hear Kio speaking, "Master... have a sibling? That was new!"
Kio got a response from Feadel, "Well, that was something new, but more importantly, the most shocking." She inhaled and screamed, "MASTER'S A WRITER?"
My head felt like it was about to explode.
Yuna responded, "That was something. After you're able to summon us, could you please summon me so that I can read it?"
"Yeah, I might do that, but YOU GUYS HAVEN'T ANSWERED MY QUESTION", I screamed back, "Are you convinced that I'm not your master? I mean, Yuna and Iris said that they don't feel any mana inside my body. How could I even be your master?"
"You certainly don't have any mana", said Iris, "But that's not a problem as long as you learn to create mana inside you."
"That was... weirdly sounds cool", I felt awe hearing that. Is it really possible to gain mana from nothing?
"Yes, you have to do a lot to have that going though", Iris said, "Like ten years long."
I was so shocked, I choked on my own breath. I coughed and asked, "Ten? Really? That long?"
"Yes, master", Iris responded, "That's why we were concerned about your age. We were afraid that your durability and stability were going to decrease faster before you even mastered the Mana Surge."
That did feel concerning.
"What if...", before my thought brought me somewhere else, I got a wake-up call, "Wait, why am I getting excited for this? No! I don't want to fight the demon king, and I'm not your master."
"But... master", Yuna responded with a sad voice, "You promised me that you would stop my father from conquering our world and this world."
"That's also the thing!" I raised my voice again, "Why, one of you is a relative of the demon king? That's concerning, you know? He might have butchered me to find you!"
I could feel Yuna getting sad. Jaxzy responded to my question, "Master. Let's just calm down a bit. Or may I suggest you go to sleep first to refresh your mind?"
"That would be idle to do right now. You're right."
After Jaxzy suggested that I could feel everyone's excitement, I have no Idea why, but that was really making me concerned.
I quickly finished with my evening routine and went to bed.
"Well, that was a three-hour, painful talk. Thanks for filling me in on what happened with you guys. Good night."
Everyone replied in union, "Good night, master. See you in the dream world."
Wait... what?
Not long after I drifted into my sleep, my body felt heavy, and I felt like I was falling from a high place.
"UWAAAAAA."
I actually fell! And it was a long drop.
"LEVITATE!" I could hear Iris shout.
"Uwa, what? What the...?
I levitated in place and saw eight figures in front of me. They bowed down differently and welcomed me.
"Welcome to the dream world, master. It has been a while since we could see each other's faces", Iris said.
In front of me stands a beautiful, short, silver-haired girl in a maid's outfit. Her glare made me feel down-bad for her.
"She glared at you with such a face again, Iris", a petite woman in a big red gown talked. She sounded like Feadel.
"I'm okay with it, Feadel. He's our master overall."
"You're... Iris?"
She bowed, "Yes, master. I'm your one and only Mage Battle Maid."
After that, I looked at the direction of the petite woman, "And that was Feadel?"
She closed her hand fan and bowed, "Yes. Your one and only Blood Moon Vampire Princess."
I skimmed through all of them and felt in awe seeing their figure, especially the one with heavy armour. I couldn't even see their eyes in that armour.
"Is there any problem with my look, young master?" His heavy voice sounded like Hugo's.
"Hugo?"
"Yes, master. I'm your shield in shining armour. Ready for duty."
"Wow, you all look really insane. This is really a fantasy world that I would never imagine seeing in my dream in a million years."
"Million? You can live for that long?" That sounded like Kio. She is even more petite than Feadel. And... is that a pair of wolves' ears on top of her?
"No... I'm guessing you're Kio. No, Kio. I'm just exaggerating."
"Exag... what?"
"He means he's just making things up", that was definitely Yuna. She looked red from top to bottom. She even has a pair of horns.
"Huh? What?" Kio looked so confused.
"Don't worry about it, Kio", that sounded like Jazxy. He was really a priest, huh? "Master just wanted to tease us a bit."
"Oh, okay", her mood changed so fast. Even her tail wiggled.
"So, what now?" I asked nonchalantly.
"We might want to start your training", Jazxy walked toward me, "I know you have said multiple times that you're not our master, but we are sure you are. So in the meantime, while we searched for our real master, we want you to be our master. He asked us to save the two worlds in danger, and we promised that we would do that."
I fell butt first into the ground, "Ah man, this is too much to take in in one night. Could we delay the training until tomorrow? I don't have things to do anyway, other than working on my comic."
Jazxy replied, "Sure, sir. We will start tomorrow morning."
