His skin was grey, as was his hair. His eyes had a dangerous crimson glow, and a stoic expression sat atop his face. His hands stayed behind his back, as his gaze swept across the battlefield. He descended, until he was before the two. He stayed a few meters above the ground, levitating."Are you two, the guardians of this unfortunate land?" He spoke, his voice strange and alien."So this one speaks?" Sarah said, raising an eyebrow.Alden shrugged. "Your first time?""Well, yeah. I think we should answer?""Yeah, I think so too." Alden raised his voice. "Yeah! And who are you?""I am Lord Velcar, a loyal servant of the great vampire king. I... have been personally chosen by his majesty, to seize this cursed land. Soon, this land will be purged.""I think that's enough talking." Bluish energy whirled around Sarah Foster like a whirlwind, and she lifted into the air."I still have some questions," Alden said. "But I'll find out after we beat him up a little."A bright blue glow lit up the area, and crimson scales crept over Alden's body. His hair turned a mix of red and black, his eyes like bloody marbles. Like light out of a bulb, energy and strength radiated from Alden's being. His eyes fell on the creature before him, and he raised his hand.Out of thin air, blue energy gathered in his hand, shaping itself into a sword-staff. Angry flames formed, creeping around the blade and giving it a menacing aura.Alden's gaze met that of Sarah Foster, and that was the sign.Like two shooting stars, they shot into the air, at their opponent. They would take him down.Alden launched a horizontal slash at the Lord Velcar's right side, his weapon leaving a blazing trail. Sarah Foster aimed a punch at his face, her arm charged with gravity. However, their attacks met empty space."What the?" Alden looked around to see Lord Velcar levitating behind them. He seemed unperturbed, his hands still behind his back."Damn!" Alden glitched through the air, and appeared before him, his blade already piercing the air. Lord Velcar simply moved aside, letting his blade pierce empty space. Alden immediately switched to a horizontal slash, but once again, he was dodged. He chased after Lord Velcar, swinging. But he was dodged. He continued, stabbing and slicing, to no avail. Sarah Foster got to them, and when Lord Velcar avoided an attack by moving back, she tried to launch an attack from the rear."Ah!"Her fist met nothing.Lord Velcar now levitated a distance away, nonchalantly watching them."Damnit! This is annoying..." Alden stayed levitating in the air besides Sarah Foster, annoyance visible on his face. "How is he so fast?""He's not just fast." Sarah Foster frowned."What?""I think... he is also moving through space."Alden thought about Sarah's words. It made sense, the first attack, and now this one...He was moving through space, quite similar to how Alden did with his [GLITCH] ability. That was one reason why it was difficult to defeat him. The other reason was, he seemed so much more powerful and faster then the two of them. Was he just S-grade?"Any ideas?"Sarah frowned. "We don't know enough about him. He hasn't even attacked..."Alden sighed. "Alright... I've got something."Sarah looked at him expectantly.Alden lifted his hands, and his hands glowed blue. A sheet of paper formed in his hands."Under the authority of this contract..." Alden tore the paper. "I summon... Grandmaster... Death knight... Aelith!"The paper burned, turning into ashes. From the ashes, shone a bright light. The light grew, slowly forming into the shape of a person. Then, the light slowly disappeared, revealing the figure. An armour as dark as midnight, a white cape flowed behind him, like a waterfall of milk. His plume was a billowy mass of white, resembling a cloud."Human." The knight floated in the air besides him. "Of how may I be of service.""That son of a gun right there." Alden pointed at the onlooking figure before them. The knight nodded."Alright!" Alden said, with a smile. "Let's go!"Now, their forces were greatly bolstered. Aerith was a powerful S-class knight. No matter the strength of their opponent, fighting 3 opponents was far from easy. The 3 of them disappeared, in the next minute appearing before Lord Velcar. The three attacked simultaneously. For the first time in that day, Lord Velcar removed a hand from behind his back.He raised his hand, stopping Alden's blade with it. He pushed it away, sending Alden flying away. A portal formed behind him, and Sarah found herself unable to stop, flying through it. Then He raised his hand to stop Aelith's blade. The elf knight stopped his vertical swing immediately, choosing to stab forward with his sword. Lord Velcar moved aside, dodging it.Alden and Sarah Foster returned, attacking him. Lord Velcar dodged their attacks, eventually teleporting away."No, you don't!" Alden growled, glitching behind Lord Velcar. He attacked, but he was easily dodged."Stop running and attack you damned coward!" Alden grew furious. He flew forward, he raised his arm, sword-staff ready to attack.Lord Velcar smiled. It was a scary smile, void of joy or happiness. It was intimidating, filled with mockery and nonchalance."Very well, as you wish."Alden suddenly felt himself freeze. Despite his efforts, he could not move. Right before Lord Velcar, something began to form.A ball of shadowy energy began to form. It's surface was dissonant, and tumultuous, but it's centre was empty. It seemed to pull all towards it, even seemingly bending the space and matter around it.Lord Velcar fluidly flicked his wrist, and the energy ball short at Alden."Uh oh..." Alden saw the attack incoming, and knew that if he did not survive this attack, he would most surely die. From what he understood, that ball of energy seemed to be some sort of blackhole. There was no need to explain what that meant. It would tear him to shreds."I need to fill absorb moon energy and strengthen my body," He thought. Normally, he could absorb moon energy to strengthen his body, but the energy would not be distributed across his body densely. Absorbing more then he could tale would put a strain on his body, and it would be difficult to move while maintaining the energy. However, now he didn't need to move. He just needed to strengthen his body to such a point, that he could take that attack head on. Though it seemed impossible, it could be possible. No... it had to be. Whether he could face that blast or not depended on one thing. The power and density of two energies involved. Alden simply had to absorb more energy in his body then the energy found in the energy ball.He was not undermining the level or power of Lord Velcar's ability, but he understood that the power in that energy ball was just a small fraction of his opponents overall strength. If Alden gathered all of his power... he could survive!Time slowed, and Alden began to absorb energy. Like a sponge in water, he felt himself absorb energy. He felt power surge into hi, until he felt like he'd explode, but he continued. This, was all in a few seconds. Time seemed to slow for him, till he perceived every millisecond. The energy ball continued to draw closer, seemingly slow to Alden. Then it struck him.Alden felt pain. It was indescribable... a twisting, crushing pain. He felt his senses blur as the dense energy of his body fought to repel the dark energy.A huge explosion occurred. The shockwave spread, and buildings toppled. Destruction spread in a wide radius, leaving the area looking like a warzone. Alden was thrown from the Impact, and he crashed into a building, immediately reducing it to bits. A giant crater formed where he crashed, and he was at its centre."I'm alive..." Alden opened his eyes to see something speeding towards him.It was another energy blast. He couldn't dodge, it was too late, and he was badly injured. He couldn't move. His energy had depleted. He would die."No..." Alden tried to move, but he was flooded with pain and weakness. No matter how he tried, he couldn't move an inch. "I can't..." He felt his arm twitch. "Die here..."Suddenly the world spin, as he felt something clamp down on his torso. He felt himself be lifted through the air, and carried away. Then, he was gently placed on the ground. Alden opened his eyes to a midnight coloured tiger standing over him.."Ah, Skip..." Alden mumbled. "Thanks."

Alden noticed familiar faces gather around him.Lily Parker, Prince Cele, and Blake Foster were before him."Oh my god Alden! What happened?" Lily knelt, her hands stretched toward him to heal him. The bright blue glow spread to Alden's body."You're beaten pretty bad kid." Blake Foster said. "You're a knock away from death.""Yeah..." Alden chuckled, before coughing uncontrollably."Take it easy there pal." Prince said. "You just got your ass whooped.""Prince!" Lily scolded, shooting him daggers at him. The young man just chuckled nervously."So, Things don't seem to be going well.""No..." Alden said, as he took Lily's help to sit. He had been at deaths door before Lily healed him. Now, he could barely sit. "That monster dodges every attack we send. It has a space-manipulating ability, so he couldn't manipulate space to teleport away, and he can even create portals. What he just attacked me with seemed like a compressed blackhole.""He sounds like a pain..." Prince muttered. They watched as Aerith and Sarah barely managed to survive against him."Then, how can he be defeated?" Lily asked."I don't know..." Alden struggled to stand. "But I must re-join the battle. Stay at a distance, it's dangerous.""No... but you're not fully healed yet!" Lily said worriedly."Yeah... kid, I think you should stand down." He placed a hand on Alden's shoulders.Alden paused, before he removed his hand."No, it's fine..." He turned around to go forward. Suddenly, his eyes widened as he saw something streak through the sky. It shot straight at Lord Velcar, causing a huge impact. Shockwaves spread, and Alden raised his hand to shield his eyes. He squinted his eyes, trying to see who landed the attack. Then, as the dust cleared, he saw who it was. A strange feeling crept from within, and Lily froze beside him.In a shining gold armour, with a flowing white cape, was Light Mcking.
