Properties of lightning

Himesan's eyes twitched as she watched Aino get whisked away in a pod. "TIME OUT! This is clear interference!"

"No, that's Yurika, the missing student, down there. She can join in the game," Shuna grumbled.

"LOOK AT WHO SHE'S WITH! That's the sewer demon! Match is cancelled, we gotta call-"

"Hmm, it's not an issue if he enrolls as a student," a voice sang.

The two turned to notice Miyuu floating down.

"H- Headmistress!? No, that guy's a monster! We can't-"

"I'm here. Thus, I decree that he counts as a student, thus, the KO of Aino Sisu is valid."

"BULLSHIT! THAT MEANS THEY COULD JUST CAMP AND-"

Miyuu let out an annoyed sigh. "Very well. He hasn't accepted my invitation of enrollment, but Aino's KO will stand. Thus, the match is now 3V4, though I'll declare things even since the KO came from a technical outside force. And I'll negate any KOs made by Umibozu, so worst case, the match ends in a draw."

Himesan clicked her tongue and returned her focus to the game. "Fuck, that problem child and a monster showed up. Yonson did himself in, but Aino was clearly cheated. The others better not lose," she thought.

Back on the playing field, Calli, now sporting her spare gas mask, furiously stormed up to Yurika. "THE FUCK WERE YOU!?"

"Eh, had some curfew problems, fell into the sewers, but I managed to get back," Yurika shrugged.

"The bald has returned... You handle the others... The ropes... are mine," Doku mumbled as he got in position before Shoko.

"Doku... What a lucky matchup," Shoko grinned as red ropes suddenly sprung from the ground, binding Doku.

"Gah! Wha- Why are they numb-"

"Ah, look at you, all powerless. Now, how about a little humiliation?" Shoko Snickered as a rope suddenly wrapped around Doku's mouth.

Doku began thrashing around violently, but to everyone's surprise, he went completely numb in seconds and was deemed incapacitated enough to be taken away in a pod.

"The hell!? How'd he lose!?" Calli fumed as she began charging for Shoko.

"Hmm, can't have you interfere. Thanks for putting your mask back on, though," Shoko scoffed as Calli found her restrained just like Doku had been.

"Ngh! These ropes! They're... It's like they're shocking me," Calli groaned, before she too was out of the fight.

"Ah, our Shoko be carrying," Milez clapped as he and Ema trotted over.

"And look who it is? Now we can pick up where we left off. Or should we? It's now us in the lead thanks to the headmistress' decree," Ema huffed as she flicked her hair.

"Wait, what did she say? I didn't hear anything," Shoko scowled.

"See that monster over there? It was decreed just now that while his KO of Aino stands, he's been deemed an outside force, so no need to worry about him. Any further KOs of us by him will be invalidated," Ema smirked as she pointed at Umibozu.

Shoko smiled as she retracted the red ropes she ad secretly been trying to attack Umibozu with. "What a monster. My ropes are imbued with lightning, giving them a numbing effect, yet against that guy's water barrier, no sparks at all. I'm positive my lightning was conducting through it too, yet he didn't even flinch! What a monster," she thought as she turned her attention to Yurika. "Ema, Milez, return to base and hunker down. We don't need to expend any more needless energy," she called out as she began to leap away.

Both Ema and Milez smiled maliciously as they too began to retreat.

"NO! DON'T RUN AWAY!" Yabei cried as she thrust her hand out, causing her pack to fire a bolt of energy.

Smirking, Milez turned and summoned a barrier of water. "This water barrier is strong enough to disperse any a- AHHHHHHHHH!?"

Shoko stared in horror as the water barrier became a giant ball of lightning, electrocuting both Milez and Ema on the spot. As the two flopped to the ground, unconscious, Shoko flew into Yabei and landed a kick square in her face, sending her flying and leading to her eventual KO and elimination.

"Just you and me, and unfortunately for you, I've got an ace up my sleeve," Shoko thought as she stared down Yurika.

"Tch, more bindings... Just dealt with that shit last night," Yurika snarled aloud as she began walking towards Shoko.

"If I recall correctly, her magic is glass manipulation. How troublesome. Glass is a terrible conductor of electricity, and if she's capable of coating her skin in glass, my trump card will be ineffective. But my ropes aren't so flimsy mere glass could cut them," Shoko thought.

Red ropes sprung from the ground once more, binding Yurika, who just as Shoko theorized, wasn't effected by the lightning imbued in them. But binding was all Shoko cared about as she slowly walked up to Yurika.

"What a shame, you could have had a quick and easy loss, but now I'm going to have to beat you senseless," Shoko chuckled as she tilted up Yurika's chin.

A smirk began forming on Yurika's face as the ropes began to burn, freeing her arms, and allowing her to grab Shoko by the shoulders.

"Tch, so you COULD cut through. It matters not as- Hmm?"

Shoko stopped mid-sentence as she noticed began to feel a burning sensation in the air.

"No, it couldn't be! THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!" Shoko cried as she found herself and Yurika encased in a pillar of fire. "Fire! You had fire... AND IT'S ALL FOR NOTHING!" she laughed manically as she turned her entire body into lightning. "LIGHTNING'S HOTTER THAN FIRE! SORRY, BUT YOU LOSE YOU CRAFTY LITTLE- HHGN!?"

Horror spread on Shoko's face as her body began to stiffen and crystalize. "My body... I can't... NO! F- Fulgurite... BUT HOW!? Fulgurite only forms when lightning comes into contact with sand, not fire so-"

"Huh? You, the one with ropes are asking how it's possible? Don't tell me you're one of those spoonfeds that had the spell taught without learning the fundamentals of it," Yurika scoffed as the pillar of fire vanished.

"Wha- Ngh!?"

"And now that your mouth's covered, CONVERSATION OVER!" Yurika malevolently smiled as she unleashed a powerful kick as Shoko's crystalized face.

The blow shattered the fulgurite instantly, and sent Shoko flying into a building, where she slumped down, bloodied and unconscious.

"And we have a winner! Misfit coven has won the match!" Miyuu declared.
